ABC Humane Wildlife Control & Landmark Pest Mgt

After initially contacting ABC Wildlife, they indicated the soonest they would be available to start the job was in 3-4 days. A few days later, ABC showed up and set-up the trap. After the work was performed (10-20 minutes), the technician explained how the pricing goes which to my surprise was different than the one I received 4 days prior from the ABC representative. I was initially told that an estimate would be provided at the time of this first visit (i.e. flat-amount) but instead was stuck with a $100 charge just for setting the trap (which was already done at that point!) and $90 FOR EACH animal removed. ABC solved the issue, but it was VERY EXPENSIVE than I initially thought due to poor expectations from ABC.

They removed one skunk, and the other left long enough for me to close up the hole.

I called and cancel our mouse abatement program that we have for the last 18 months. ABC must not value their regular clients or our time.

Rep showed up on time. However, he thought he was coming over to exterminate pests, not to conduct the evaluation or the special Angie's List evaluation. We did , however, straighten that out, and the gentleman, very professional, explained to me the various areas where there were gaps between foundation wall and stucco, and how we could improve by putting guards over vents, etc., and securing a few spots on the roof. All made sense. Then the estimate for the work showed up a few days later, and, though I know very little about this area, the bid seemed astronomical to me. I did not proceed with the work.

They were very professional - they set the trap, and explained the entire process thoroughly. When we didn't catch a skunk after a week, I moved the trap and they were very helpful explaining how it should be done - in addition, there is a step-by-step informative video on their website. They came out an additional time at no extra charge to evaluate the placement of the trap. Ultimately, we had to abandon the idea of catching a skunk because the bait was possibly attracting other wildlife. They always answered promptly and helpfully.

While we were impressed with the initial call and visit, we were unhappy that the final repair work was not scheduled timely. We waited 2 weeks for a call and when it was finally given, we were told it would be 3 weeks before the work could be completed. We ended up having the work done elsewhere. Would we recommend ABC? Yes, for cleanup only.

I purchased a deal through Angie's for this company to check if there might be animals in the attic. I have been hearing noises at night and wasn't sure what it was. For peace of mind I needed to have it checked out. The morning after I purchased the deal I received a call from the company to schedule an appointment. A technician came over a few hours later. After looking around the roofline of the house and climbing up to the roof for inspection, he assured me that there were no signs of animal activity on the roof. There is a tree brach that is in contact with the roof and was probably the cause of the noise I was hearing. He mentioned that the brach has caused some damage to the roof and that his company can fix it. I declined since the roof is slated to be replaced next spring. I appreciated the information he provided and will use this company again in the future should the need arise.

I arranged for them to install wire screening on 2 sides of a concrete stoop to prevent animals from digging under my porch. (I have used this company in the past to remove animals from other parts of my property. They suggested this proactive work.) They called to remind me several days before their appointment. They came as promised. They did a great job of preserving landscaping gravel on the side before they dug. After digging down approximately 18 inches, they installed wire mesh screening down the 2 sides of the stoop. They then covered the area with the dirt and final layer of landscaping stones. You couldn't even tell the area had been excavated when they were done!

It was pretty good. It's just too bad we didn't catch the raccoon. They came out to find out what kind of animal went into our attic because we heard a noise and they concluded that was raccoon. They try put a trap on it but it didn't work. The raccoon made some damage on our roof and they came to do an estimate but they didn't gave us the real estimate. We found another contractor to fix it for us.

I bought the Big Deal for animal removal. I didn't get a call back for a week and a half. Disappointing but when I called they were very apologetic and had someone come out right away. We knew there were 2 skunks living under the shed. They explained the need to keep them from getting in at any entry point as skunks are apparently good diggers. They gave me an estimate which I thought was high but we needed the skunks gone. They also provided a solution for the east side of the house where paver brick patio had sunk enough to allow small creatures access. They provided a solution for gutter run off and offered to fix it. They set the humane trap for the animals and it caught them. When my sister noticed a skunk in the trap that I missed taht morning, I called in after the cut off. They sent someone over that day and quickly removed the animal.

Phil the technician from ABC arrived at the scheduled time. He observed the bees and identified them as yellow jackets. Phil said he could eradicate them with a powder treatment and the bee activity would die down in a couple of days and we would be finished with the problem. Phil said if we still noticed bee activity after 7 days to call ABC and they would come back to re-treat the nest at no charge. It is just 3 days since Phil treated the nest and we have observed zero bee activity. We are very happy with the service and the remedy to our problem.

The first and second representative were quite professional. The initial visit did involve a little service selling, but then that happens for most providers. After the first trap caught the animal, they removed it and placed a second one. That trap didn't catch anything. ABC returned to retrieve the trap and set a marker to check for the presence of any animals that had enough experience to avoid the traps. After finding none, ABC installed animal guards around the vents and attic fan to prevent entry by other animals. ABC picked up the second trap without charge.

we were not sure how long or how much it would be, because they have to come out to set or replace traps over a series of paid visits. But in the end they succeeded. It was a bear of a job too because they had to go up on a steep attic roof.

Was very punctual and professional. Was complete in their inspection and informative but did not try to push a hard sell for additional services.

They stated that they would send me an estimate. I called about 3 weeks after their inspection and they stated that they will check on it and call me back. I didn't get a call back. I called about 1-2 weeks later and they apologized profusely and said they would have the proposal to me soon. About another 1-2 weeks went by and I called them again and they said that I would have the proposal within the next 2 days. That was over a month ago. I give up. I'm guessing they either lost my inspection report (as it was a Friday and the inspector went on vacation - what I was told for the initial delay) or they just have way too much business. They were very good about being flexible for the evaluation date/time, so it seemed like they were happy to have more business.

All went well. It was easy to make appointments with ABC Humane Wildlife Control, and they were all very profession and prompt with their service. We dealt with many on their staff while trying to catch all the squirrels, and each of the representatives were friendly and helpful. We had some issues with the condition of some of the traps, but that was eventually resolved. They are a very helpful organization and the staff is very knowledgeable.

I called them, gave them details of what I needed done. When I told them I lived in Bridgeview, IL. they said they did not go into my city. I them called Angie's and relayed what I had found out.

The service was very good. He was very helpful and polite. He came in and explained everything to us and was on time. We were happy with his service.

I made a call and someone was sent out the following day to assess the situation and explain the process. They set the traps, removed the squirrels, sanitized the space and then sealed the soffit so no other pests could get in.

The service was good. They did a good job with the work, the scheduling was fine and there were no problems.

ABC Humane Wildlife responded very quickly. Came to our house within 24 hours. They were very professional. The raccoon was caught within 24 hours. They cam out the same day to take the raccoon away. They also decided to leave the cage for one more week to ensure there are no more raccoons/animals trying to enter through the roof. When there were no more animals they cam out took the cage, corrected the items on the roof. Placed screens on the soffits and build out a box for one of the soffits. It was great. They fit it just right, painted it the exact same color as our home. You would never know what was there! The cleaned up everything. Very professional and responsive! We had brought two other companies prior to this and obviously the problem was not take care of appropriately. Since April, we have yet to have a problem. Thank you!

I called them on 09/20/13, and they were to call between 9:00-10:30 a.m. the next day, 09/21/13, to confirm when they would arrive. They stated, to both my husband and to me, on 09/20/13 that they would come out between 10:00-12:00. On 09/21/13, no one called between 9:00-10:30. When I contacted them, I was told Tyler would call me back within ten minutes with the time he would be out. When Tyler didn't call, I called back. Bottom line, after two additional calls, I was told Tyler wouldn't be out to my home until between 4:00-6:00 p.m. that day. That was not convenient. If I had been told of the later time period on 09/20/13, I either could have accommodated the time, or called someone else. So, I cancelled the appointment and called another provider.

The service has turned out well so far. They came out to reset traps when we called. They have been prompt and have done what we have asked so far.

They service was great. They were very professional and friendly. The service was very humane and we would use them again in the future.
