+ -1 moreThe tech sent out a year ago was Very helpful and informative. However, The tech that was sent out recently was friendly, but didn't tell me where the problem was. He only made general statements that the rodent entry could be anywhere without providing any real proof of entry; and tried to upswell me on a $2k rodent proof package. I would use ABC again as long as it's not the same tech.

They were very professional. If I do need to, I would probably use them. If they'd cut their price, Ill definitely use them again.

+ -1 moreAfter the first call they came quickly and diagnosed the problem and set a trap on the roof. We were told to call by 8 in the morning if a squirrel was in the trap. The first time a squirrel was caught, I called by 7:30. They did not come to the house until late that afternoon. It was a hot day and by the time they came the squirrel had died. Not exactly the humane removal I expected. When I called to express concern, I was told that happens on hot days. After I insisted, they agreed to come earlier the next time. They also set up a mouse program, and said they'd be back in 6 weeks to check on it. It was 4 months before they came back. They put more bait down and said they would come back to check on them, but have never been back. I would not use them again.
Description of Work: We had squirrels in our attic. They came out and set traps, removed the animals, and fixed the holes where the squirrels got in. They also did a mouse control program.

+ -1 moreWe look at other companies, this company was approx five dollars more than their competitors. Based on this company's credentials, we chose them. We had to follow up on a few times as on occasion no one call us back in a week (as they stated they would) if no animal was caught. They are a 24hour company but when we called in the evening to let them know of a skunk in the trap, know one came until the next day in the afternoon. We follow up. They were apologetic every time and immediately met are needs after follow up.I didn't like that we were responsible to reset the trap, if the bait was eaten, and the animal was not captured. There was a nice video to explain how and what to use, but to have to pay extra to have their person reset a trap when we are already paying a lot did not seem appropriate. The work they did placing the underground parameter was great. We haven't had any animals since.
Description of Work: Got rid of 6 skunks under shed and then placed underground parameter barrier around shed.

Description of Work: The provider inspected the house for places where mice may have entered and recommended treatments to eliminate the mouse problem. After the inspection the provider recommended the areas to be sealed and sent a team out to seal the entry points using good materials to seal the gaps.

+ 0 moreWe had Chris Weber come out to the house and he was punctual and couldn't have been more friendly and knowledgeable. He was very clear about the problem and you could tell he was well-trained. He set a trap for us, talked to us about checking it and safety around the trap, and we scheduled follow-up service for a preventative service (burying mesh fence around the porch). He was kind and very professional. We will absolutely be using them if we ever have another rodent problem!
Description of Work: They came out to inspect a hole that had been dug under our front porch by what turned out to be a skunk. Set a trap for us and scheduled followup preventative services.

+ 0 moreThe first part was good. They inspected and blocked the hole as promised. The person was professional in his communication and came when he promised to. On the second inspection, the person came as promised but did not call me although there were specific instructions to. Instead, he called my wife and left a message. Other than that, the service was as promised and seems to be professional and thorough. I will be looking for second and third estimates as this seems to be a bit high for the services. I want human pest removal though and am willing to pay a bit more for chemical free and humane service.
Description of Work: ABC came in and sealed up a hole that was used as bird's nest and did an inspection. This was in the winter so they said they would come out when the snow had thawed. They came back and inspected free of charge. They did and found a few other problems. Those problems were quoted at $2-$4k.

+ -1 moreThey weren't able to catch the critter, animals are hard to catch sometimes. They did what they said they would. They left the traps set and baited but it got away. After two or three weeks we figured it ran away. There's nothing else they can do. They showed up when they said. We don't want our dog to get skunked. I can't say any thing bad about them. The price was reasonable.

+ -1 moreThe initial consultation about the squirrel issue went well, and they told me the course of action (place bait in a trap on roof near entrance). This was the method of capture for 3 weeks, and the squirrels never seemed to stop. We captured 8 squirrels (at $75 a piece), and I was fed up with the length of time this took. We were still hearing them run around the attic even after 8 captures. I called and asked about other trapping methods, as I read about exclusion traps online (these type of traps are one way, and allow squirrels to leave, but not get back in). They finally installed one (at no cost, due to my frustration), and the squirrels ceased to enter our attic. My primary complaints are: 1) Failure to explain all options for trapping: The if the exclusion trap would have been installed at the beginning of the trapping process, it would have taken only a few days to make sure the squirrel issue was solved. Instead, it took 3 weeks, and the cost of 8 squirrels at $75 a squirrel. I feel the exclusion trap option was not given to me in order for them to make more money on trapping the squirrels individually. 2) Cost: During the course of this process, we contacted another wildlife capturing company, who only charged $50 a squirrel. We would have saved almost $200 going with this other company. 3) After-hours call service: There were several occasions when we called to report a squirrel in our trap later in the evening, after office hours. ABC employs a service to answer calls at this time, and the people taking these calls were not always helpful, and did not pass on messages. However, the employees that came to the house were always courteous.

+ 2 moreWe found a $44 inspection deal for ABC Humane Wildlife Control on Angie's List, and had them come out to do an initial inspection. Very knowledgeable on what they were looking for: the technician identified a squirrel problem (8 on a scale of 10) and a mouse problem (4 on a scale of 10) in the attic. Gave us the detailed course of action, including pointing out the likely breach point for the squirrel(s), and likely mitigation for the insulation in the attic. They were going to come back to set three traps, which I would have to check every 1-2 days. Each subsequent visit back to the property to remove any squirrels would cost $75/visit. Unfortunately, no one followed-up with us to set the traps until we called them. They apologized for lack of follow-up, and sent someone out to complete the job. We caught one squirrel within a week, and are still working on catching others (if any) before addressing the mice problem. They are also licensed roofers, so I will eventually be getting an estimate on the roof. Note: I spoke with a insurance broker, and they independently recommended ABC Humane Wildlife Control to me when I described my situation.

+ 0 moreThe treatment is effective. They were very trustworthy. I will recommend them. The cost for this particular service is already covered for what I paid for when they started the work last January.
Description of Work: I used the services of ABC Humane Wildlife Control & Prevention Inc. They put the tick and lice treatment. They did a sanitation treatment where they disinfected the area for insects, flees and bugs that the squirrels might have carried. They also checked if there were squirrels in the trap, removed them and placed another trap and a steel patch. It took a couple of trips back because they could not access the side of the building because of the snow then. It’s a narrow way between the building and there was fencing there. So they had to come back to do that and then they had to come back one more time because they said they run out of the disinfectants where the stuff goes in the wall. So they actually had to come back and open that up and re-do that. Then they had to come back a different time because they put the caps going up and then it snowed again and they had to wait for the roof to clear again to put the caps on the chimney. So weather permitting, they will do that. The temperature do not disturb, they are out here even if the temperature is zero degrees.

+ 0 moreThey sit down with you and they tell you all the other services they can provide while they are doing a certain service; like they noticed that I don?t have vent caps for the chimney and he could do it for less. They were very good with scheduling because they will call and that worked out fine. The service people were very friendly and informative. They were very prompt and efficient. I will tell someone that they do free inspection and once they do the service you don?t have to worry about the squirrels. I recommend them. The service was a success because there are no squirrels anymore.
Description of Work: I used the services of ABC Humane Wildlife Control & Prevention Inc. After doing the inspection and putting the caps to trap the squirrels last January, they came back because you have to do something after you catch them. They had notices they put up so everybody knows what’s going on and then they come back. They did the dryer vent guard and chimney caps. They put a steel patch on the hole where the squirrels went in.

They started in January and they still have the trap up because of the weather, it’s hard to get access to the part of the roof because of the snow. They were very prompt, very informative and very polite. I paid for the coupon plus the project for going ahead to do it because I knew I had caps on and have someone reach them. By the time someone comes out, the cost is the same. I ordered the big deal on January fifth. There was nothing so much that stood out about them.
Description of Work: I used the big deal of ABC Humane Wildlife Control & Prevention Inc. They came out and located where the squirrels are getting in the building. They put up a board with pieces the trap so that they are all on one place on the path on the roof where the squirrels are going. They put a card board patch on holes so if there were still squirrels inside, they could get out. Then while they were looking, they had two vent caps put on the exhaust that go out from the bathroom fences, going off the squirrels could get in there so they put two caps on that then they put a cap on the chimney so nothing could get in that way. Then they came back and when they were pretty sure there were no squirrels inside they disinfected the hole by putting some bugs stuff in there that will kill the insects, flees or ticks that whatever the squirrels carry with them because they kind of stay in the nest where they have gotten it. After a couple of weeks, they made sure they were not getting anymore, they put a steel measure thing over the hole so it’s permanently sealed. Then when I catch squirrels, I called them in the morning and they came out and picked them up and take them away and they bate the traps. Just about now, they still have the trap up there and they have to come and get it. When they came in January for the big deal, they came and see where the squirrels were getting in and to suggest a treatment. It was to see where they are coming in, where the hole was and find a location where they should put the trap and then decide on what kind of trap I wanted to do because they charge by their trip out; one trap and you could only get one squirrel or you put these three trap on and you can get notable squirrels but I only got one squirrel at a time but there was a total of three squirrels I think or four maybe. It took a couple of trips back because they could not access the side of the building because of the snow then. It’s a narrow way between the building and there was fencing there.
