They are the company that the village of Barrington hired to re-do my street. I didn't feel that the guys were not constructive or diplomatic sales people. I started to tell them all about the exact measurements because my driveway is fairly steep. I made a big deal about the pitch of the driveway. It turned out amazing. They did it by eyeball and didn't have to measure anything. They did a great job. They knew what they were doing. I am totally pleased with it and worried too much. They did a great job and the price was reasonable.

I called A Lamp 8/22 based on a neighbor recommendation. John Westberg came out within the week to give me an estimate. He was great, and I accepted the proposal and mailed a deposit by 9/3. I applied for a city permit, but was unable to pick it up because A Lamp had not renewed their business license. I had a very difficult time getting call backs from the office and was told that they couldn't give me a start week or even a start month. I persisted and was told by Rose and Tracy that they'd find out and call me back, they didn't. By 9/16 I was beginning to worry that I'd lost my money. A Lamp had hired a new office manager who basically told me that residential clients were not a priority. Still she worked hard to get me the info I needed and gave me a start date of Oct 1. One day later she called me back to tell me that the company was refunding my deposit and is unable to do the work this fall. She made no attempt to keep my business or move out the date.
