Showed up to tear out old cabinets and took them home with him (not a big deal) and one of his workers brought his girlfriend with -just to hang out in our house!) They showed up two weeks later to start construction. They did not hang plastic when they did the drywall so you couldn't hardly breath in my home. They asked me for fans to help dry the drywall and they cranked my heat up to 80 degrees everyday (to help dry the drywall) Oh, I forgot I had explained to them that I had radiant heat in the ceiling. They removed my ceiling and then called me in to ask me what the wires were in the ceiling and I explained that it was my heat. They informed me that this could not be put back up so now I have to pay for another type of heat. they told me that I get baseboard heat or radiant heat in the floor so I decided on radiant heat in the floor- which I did not know couldn't be installed under the flooring that I had bought. I was charged for the new heat, worm wire and a trip to Springfield Mo. He informed me that he had to buy it from the manufacturer and that he had to go to Springfield Mo. ( I later found out that he charged me for 8 mats and only installed 7 in my home and then he applied my flooring over the heat and I later found out that this type of flooring can't be installed over this heat and that this heat was only for warming the floor and would not be a heat supply for my kitchen. Also found out that he did not buy it from the manufacturer!!!! They do not sell to the public or to contractors but I still paid for the trip. When we had to have the floor taken up, we found out that he did not use any of the wire that we paid for either. The heat pads were covered with concrete and he did not block my animals from the kitchen (he hung a piece of plastic and sat his radio on it-to stop the animals from going in there!) when I got home, my animals had walked all over the concrete and then all over my carpet. I called him and he came over to "fix" the concrete and then informed me that it was toxic to animals and that I needed to make sure I got it all cleaned off the animals. My oven became their work bench and they used it every day without ever covering it up, I picked up over 50 cigarette butts out of my driveway before I supplied them with two ash trays. They drank soda out of my garage, they blocked my refrigerator which was in the garage so that I had to move things just to get in it when I came home. I had a pile of trash in my back yard the entire time they were doing the job that was about 12 feet wide and they threw everything out there including chewing tobacco cans and lunch bags. I even told them that I would unlock the gate so that they could get the trash out before the weather broke and things thawed out but they still did not remove the trash. My husband finally had to throw it all away after we ask them not to come back. I thought they were still working on the drywall but I came in one day and they had painted it and it looked awful. My husband informed them that it was not correct and he argued with my husband. He came in the next day which was Saturday and installed the flooring which was AWFUL!!!! I could put fingers in between the boards and it moved all over when I walked on it. The next day was Sunday so I took my dogs and left the house for the day and locked the house, including sliding the board into the dog door. When I came in that evening he had crawled through my dog door and remudded over the painted dry wall!!!! My husband did call them and tell them not to come back until we could get the work inspected. They packed everything up, including what had to be at least two boxes of flooring, our ladder, our push broom and even two cans of my husbands nails!!! Since then, we have found out so many other things that were done wrong (including places four paint stirrers under our flooring to help level it! All the flooring was garbage because of the way it was installed. We have had to hire all new workers to fix everything and have to have a whole new heating system put in. We do have 7 out of the 8 heating mats that we paid for that we will try to resell. we have had to buy all new flooring and all new paint again. Oh, I almost forgot. At one point during the work. Chris Gibson (the owner) informed me that one of his workers had been arrested and he fired him and told me to make sure that I did not let him in to get any of his supplies!! This was not my problem! not in order but other things that were done; Found a cigarette butt in the attic which is filled only with insulation. Argued with me that he could find a better deal on an oven range hood from Menards after I bought one from Lowes- I proved that he could not. Said the most vulgar thing in the world to my husband about me after my husband informed him that he did not want him back in the house. Left a 220 volt electrical wire open so that any of us or our pets could bump into it and it would have lit us up (didn't realize this until we had new workers come in) Screwed our new cabinets into the walls before they were finished ( I have no idea why he did this) and now we have extra screw holes in our brand new cabinets and he NAILED a spacer into the side of our brand new cabinets. Somehow he managed to use every bit of our flooring which was 410 feet and our new contractor had flooring left over when we purchased only 360 feet! I have heard many horror stories about this guy since he left our house but people are intimidated by him. I am not and I hope that I can stop someone from being ripped off by this guy.
