They came out gave an estimate. I emailed and felt the cost was to high. They never returned the email. I had many questions of pricing and materials that where on the quote. They where on time and on the right day. The gentleman that came was very professional it's just a shame that they didn't follow through.

They did a good job. The installation was fine. They ordered two sections too many. They started putting the extra sections back on the truck after the job, but I requested that they leave it since I paid for it. I feel they could have estimated a little better. I also called a salesperson one day to check the status of the fence, and he was a little unprofessional on the phone with me. I might use them again in the future.

Peerless Fence was quick and efficient and cleaned up after their work.

Talked with the owner who directed me to Phil Pollard who is the sales representative for the western suburbs. Phil returned my call within two days. He scheduled an appointment for a few days later. Peerless also owns another fence company so he was able to choose from the other company's line to give us what we wanted. He wrote up the estimate for the job which was to replace an old privacy fence. We also installed a new privacy fence along the driveway with a decorative trellis on top. Phil indicated I would be contacted within 2-3 weeks to schedule install. Even though I ended up calling after three weeks, the other company found my order right away and scheduled the install for later that week. From estimate to install the job took 4 weeks. The install team came over two days (instead of one as I was told). Because of rain they removed and hauled away the old fence and dug and mixed concrete for the new posts. They came back promptly the next day. I was impressed that they built the fence on site. The result is better than expected. The cedar looks great and the gate is well-made and sturdy. Great experience. Responsive sales team. Courteous installation team who cleaned and swept up the site when they finished.

Project manager Craig Davis returned our call for an estimate the same day. He scheduled an appointment at our convenience the following week. He came out and explained all the different options available to us in the category we were interested in. He provided us three estimates for the different products we were interested in. We took a week to make the decision. He then came back at our convenience to collect a deposit and schedule the actual work. Workers showed up promptly at the appointed time and completed the project the same day. Actual price was exactly the same as quoted.

The whole thing looks great and they did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone. They were hard working and the fence was up quickly. They have a great price and the staff was professional and hard working all of the time.

Ken Kolar from Peerless Fence came out to estimate the job. Ken took one look at the fence and went to his car and got a measuring tape, DW 40 and a level. With some expert pulling and tugging he realigned the section of fence perfectly. Apparently the fence rails moved slightly over the years. Ken also told me how to prevent this problem in the future. The total cost for this job was $0.00. This a story of Ken's expertise and good heartedness. What a great experience!

I found Peerless Fence on Angie's List, and liked their ratings. I was able to get an immediate appointment for an estimate. The salesman was straight forward and easy to work with, I signed a contract immediately. The work crew arrived at about 9:00 AM and took only a 30 minute lunch break. They worked steadily and with method, they obviously knew what they were doing. There were no issues at any time during the construction of the fence. The fence is magnificent. The standard pickets are all very nice, no splits, nearly clear grade in quality. The pickets are even and where the fence must follow a slope the pickets remain even as they follow the terrain. The constructed on site panels are toe nailed between the posts, a nicer look on both sides. The post tops are outstanding they rise above the fence The gate is exceptional with posts on each side. This was not any extra cost over the basic beveled post top. I will use Peerless Fence again and strongly recommend.

Our salesman, Phil Pollard, was very knowledgeable and helpful. The scheduling department was flexible with timing since we were working around other landscaping work. The installation crew knew what they were doing, did not damage any existing landscaping, and the fence looks great.

OVERALL, A GOOD EXPERIENCE. I PRICED OUT PEERLESS AND ONE OTHER COMPANY THAT RATED WELL ON ANGIE'S LIST AND PEERLESS WAS CHEAPER FOR A COMPARABLE FENCE. THE HANDLE ON THE BACK FENCE IS NOT WORKING RIGHT NOW, BUT I AM COMFORTABLE THAT AFTER I CALL THEY WILL BE RESPONSIVE AND COME FIX IT (I AM CALLING TOMORROW). I BOUGHT THE INSTALLERS A PIZZA AT LUNCH TIME AND THEY WERE ALL VERY NICE AND VERY GRATEFUL. THE LEAD GUY SPOKE ENGLISH AND WAS VERY NICE THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS. THEY EVEN TRIMMED BACK SOME BUSHES THAT WENT OVER THE PROPERTY LINE (EVEN THOUGH THE SALESPERSON TOLD US WE NEEDED TO CLEAR IT OUT PRIOR TO INSTALLATION; MY HUSBAND HAD MISSED 2 AREAS). FENCE LOOKS GOOD. MY NEIGHBORS COMPLIMENTED.

Did not reply to original e-mail. I contacted by phone because I needed both my fence & deck repaired. I was told they don't repair decks. Phil did return my call, but didn't seem to want my business. Couldn't come out for a week to even look at it. It sounded like he would rather sell me a new fence instead of doing the repair. He did give me the name of someone who builds decks, but wasn't sure if they would repair.

They lost our info. last year and never returned calls for our landscape architect. Landscape Architect wanted to try them again this year. They came out, drew us a very nice computer drawing of the fence we wanted, & had a quick return of the quote. When I asked to modify the quote for a higher grade wood, he stated he wouldn't feel comfortable doing the work. To his credit, he did say he does basically one level of fence, & he felt this was at a higher level. Too bad we didn't waste a year to find out he couldn't do what I wanted all along.

I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH NICE THINGS ABOUT MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE. FROM THE TELEPHONE RECEPTIONIST, TO TOM, THE SALES GUY WHO GAVE ME THE ESTIMATE, TO DON, WHO WORKED WITH ME ON SCHEDULING, TO SISCO AND HIS GUYS WHO BUILT THE FENCE WERE PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. WHEN MY VILLAGE INFORMED ME THAT THE REQUIRED PERMITS WILL BE DELAYED, PEERLESS WORKED WITH ME TO RESCHEDULE FOR A LATER DATE. BUT THEY AGREED TO MAKE TWO TRIPS AND MARK THE POST LOCATIONS EARLIER BECAUSE OF MY SCHEDULE. WHEN I GOT THE PERMIT EARLIER THAN EXPECTED, PEERLESS CAME OUT SAME DAY AND FINISHED THE JOB SOONER THAN PLANNED. I WAS TOTALLY IMPRESSED. GREAT SERVICE.

THE FIRST SALESMAN WAS PUNCTUAL AND ON TIME, UNFORTUNATELY WE HAD A MIX UP IN THE TIMES. THE SECOND MISSED THE APPOINTMENT AND NO RESPONSE WAS FORTH COMING FROM THE COMPANY.

THE SALES REP CAREFULLY MEASURED AND REMEASURED THE AREA, BUT DID NOT CORRECTLY MEASURE FOR ONE OF THE GATES. WE HAD TO WAIT AN ADDITIONAL WEEK FOR THEM TO INSTALL THE LAST GATE. IT TOOK THREE PHONE CALLS BEFORE THEY CALLED BACK TO LET ME KNOW WHEN IT WOULD BE INSTALLED. ALL IN ALL, WE WERE SATISFIED WITH THE WORK. WE DID HAVE TO FIND A COMPANY THAT WOULD LOCATE AND MARK AN UNDERGROUND LINE THAT RAN FROM THE HOUSE TO THE GARAGE - JULIE WON'T MARK PRIVATE LINES, AND THIS ADDED $150 TO THE COST.

SALESPERSON WAS VERY HELPFUL AND ACCOMMODATING. ONE THING TO WATCH OUT FOR: IF YOU WANT THEM TO TAKE THE DIRT FROM THE HOLES WITH THEM, HAVE YOUR SALES PERSON CHECK THE BOX FOR 'HAUL DIRT SPOILS'. I'M NOW STUCK WITH 2 WHEELBARROWS OF CLAY TO DISPOSE OF MYSELF. IN ADDITION, I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT ARCHES WERE LAID OUT AND/OR CUT WITH A JIG. IN REALITY, THE CREW SKETCHES THE ARCHES BY HAND AND TRIMS WITH A CIRCULAR SAW. SOME ARCHES ARE A LITTLE SLOPPY (BUT NOT HORRIBLE, I AM JUST A TOUGH CRITIC).

THE INSTALLATION CREW WAS GREAT. THE OFFICE DID NOT RETURN CALLS. WE HAD TO KEEP TRYING TO GET THEM ON THE PHONE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS AND SCHEDULE THE JOB.

THEY ARE WILLING TO COME UP WITH INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS, BUT I THOUGHT THE WORKERS NEEDED TO BE SUPERVISED A LITTLE, THEY ALMOST FENCED PART OF OUR YARD THAT ALREADY HAD A NEIGHBORS FENCE LINING IN IT. I DIDNT THINK THAT WAS NECESSARY.

EVERYTHING WAS SET INTO CONCRETE. NICE PEOPLE, GREAT WORK. NOT HARD TO GET ALONG WITH.
