On the date of the delivery they never called, and showed up around 10:15 am. Said they knocked on the door, even though my wife was home the entire time and we have a loud doorbell. decided to setup the grill in front of the garage and leave 6 min later. Never called either of the numbers they had on file or tried to ring the bell again. My wife called saying they delivered the grill and then left, so I called the shop asking what had happened and the owner or whomever answered the phone said they tried to ring the bell, no one answered so they left it. I asked why they didn't try to call or ring the bell again, and he said they didn't have the number. So I asked what my pregnant wife was supposed to do with a 300 lbs. grill that was blocking her garage? Guy on the phone said he would try to call his guys and get them to come back out, and after several calls, they decided to do nothing. After my wife called again, he said, ?he wasn?t? able to get ahold of his delivery guys?. So we have not only had to completely disassemble the grill to get it into the location it was supposed to be delivered, we had to set it up, and move it. Extreamly dissapointing experience and we will never purchase anything from them again. Not to mention the price for in-home delivery, setup, and cost of grill was way more expensive.
Description of Work: My wife purchased Kamado Big Joe Grill for me, for father’s day. This included delivery and setup. Provider called the week before to validate delivery between 12-2 the next Wednesday.

The stove is a great model and nearly perfect for us. Maybe it is a little undersized for our 1000 sq ft. basement but no major complaints -- it works well, is safe, and very efficient. Main Street does carry the better quality stoves and that is why we used them. The price seems normal. It was a while ago, so I may not remember this exactly, but it did seem like it took a little bit of work to get a date scheduled for installation. I remember that we provided a deposit and then needed to call back a few times. We also had some challeges with getting the design right. Although someone from Main Street did come out and look at our house, they told us later that we would also need the chimney to be inspected, which was somewhat of a surprize. Fortunately that turned out alright since the chimney was sound. The workers arrived several hours late on the day of installation. I think they did a fair job installing it, but I was a little annoyed that they left metal shavings on my woodworking bench (didn't ask permission). There was also some brick dust on the wall and floor where they drilled into the existing chimney. Later on, I inspected the top cap on the chimney and it was obviously installed quickly. The metal flashing didn't lie flat on the chimney and the metal screws were not covered/sealed in any obvious way. I applied some masonry caulking myself to give myself some peace of mind that water would not migrate around the flashing. Overall the stove has worked great and I'm fairly confident that it is installed correctly, just a little sloppy. I think they paid attention to the critical things: levelling the stove on the floor and connecting the pipe/vent correctly. We're considering using them again, but it would be for a bigger job... we're not totally confident so we'll probably shop around a little before deciding. Chances are they would be fine, though.
Description of Work: A small wood burning stove (2B Classic Morso Wood stove) was installed in our basement. A stainless steel sleeve was run from the stove pipe through an existing chimney that was formerly used for a furnace. A metal cap/screen was installed on top of the chimney.

The showroom is the only one within a 25 mile radius of us. They have many many products. We selected one and were advised to pick something different for our particular situation. We are happy with our new selection and it was in our price range. They showed up promptly to measure. We were told 3 weeks--it came in 5 weeks. We had to dog them to get an installation date. Always courteous--but they should call the customer. Installer showed up after the two hour window given. We had to call the installer back THREE times--as it was not fit properly. We paid the $99 dollars for the installation. The installer did not follow the installation instructions that we read after he left the first time. The installer showed up well after the two hour window given on both of the next two occasions. Shop owner never called us to see if we were finally satisfied. We are not overly fussy people--for that amount of money--you expect someone to know how to install it. Product is fine--customer service and installation and follow up are not.
