We used Honea Construction for our basement remodel. Eric was extremely professional and his work ethic is outstanding! The final product exceeded our expectations and we couldn’t be happier with our new basement!! We will definitely be using Honea Construction on future projects.

Eric was great from start to finish. He was prompt, and while he was doing significant work, he did not interfere with our daily routines. His work was top quality, and he kept us aware of any concerns throughout the process. His work was completed within the estimate and schedule he presented at the beginning of the job. Our remodel went so smoothly, I'm still in awe. Eric Honea of Honea Construction is a one man army. From the very beginning he responded promptly, gave personal detail and attention every step of the way and came in with the most affordable price quote. He even recommended people when we asked that gave fantastic discounts on tile and such. We need our master bathroom done and will definitely use Eric Honea again!

Beyond expectations! Eric has an eye for design . He was efficient, willing to make unexpected changes and make recommendations to enhance the project. He was considerate of the area he worked in and around by placing plywood over carpet, taping off areas , wrapping furniture , covering hardwood floors with carpets and cleaning up after himself . We wound definitely hire him again . In fact, we hired him a month later to take down an outdated light fixture in the kitchen and replace with can lights . Once again Eric did a phenomenal job for us. We have a 110 yr. old house - and Eric has become our "go to" contractor for any job we need done in the house. He is great to work with, and he understands our design choices - and suggests alternatives if he sees a better way. He is extremely efficient and also allows me to do as much or little as I choose. (there are many times when I want to do the finish trim or painting, etc..). On his latest work in our bathroom, he did the demo and complete install within 6 - 7 working days. In contrast our friends bath remodel took another general contractor 30 days to complete! The approximate cost I quote below was only Eric's labor portion and only consumable materials (not bath/shower fixtures, tile, or sink/toilet) The scope for Eric was as follows: 1) Full bath demo 2) Plumbing 3) Wall and floor tile install 4) Shower system install 5) Lighting install 6) Custom door install and trim 7) Paint and finish Eric self-performs all work - and works some long days to ensure that the job gets done quickly. We adjust our schedules to make sure that this is possible as we want the job completed.

Eric is efficient, flexible, and professional. Our bathroom looks great and is high quality. I will also add that he is very trustworthy, he had total access to our home while we were away.

We had several firms quote the removal of a wall between our kitchen and dining room. A few flat out said they didn't know if it could be done. Others said they could do it, but it would be tricky and estimates ran between $5000 and $6500. Something didn't feel right about that number to me, so I had a few more quotes ordered, Honea Construction being one of them. Not only was his quote a fraction of the others, he knew exactly what was needed to get the job finished and never once seemed in doubt. The work was finished faster than projected, and came in at exactly the cost he said he would charge. He even performed a few minor enhancements to the house that he noticed could make a difference (some venting enhancements) at no charge. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Honea again. In fact, I will be this Spring and I've already given their name to several family and friends. I couldn't rate them more highly.

Our basement remodel went very well! We were thrilled on how quickly the job was done and the quality of work. His pricing and time frame was by far the best of all the quotes I had received and it was done in half the time everyone else had estimated. All of the other estimates were double if not triple the cost and ultimately would have been the same outcome as to what Eric had provided us. We will be hiring him again for our other remodel projects!

Eric was affordable and very professional, and his quote was significantly lower than the others. He made the job very low stress for our family. For our small project, he did all the work himself, which included demolition, carpentry, electrical, drywall, a small amount of HVAC, and painting. Other than picking out the cabinet, light fixtures and countertop, Eric took care of picking up all needed supplies and materials, and at the end, just provided us with the receipts and we simply paid for the items with no markup. He was very timely, coming when he said he would and doing the work efficiently. Each evening, he tidied up nicely, which was important for us, given that the work was in our kitchen and we have little ones running around. He took care to lay down floor matts to protect our hardwood floors. He also put up some plastic sheeting to prevent dust from getting all over the furniture, though there was still some dust that needed to be cleaned up afterwards. Our job was broken into a couple of short waves. First, he came in and did the demo work and framed back up the opening and finished the drywall, moving some electrical and HVAC duct work in the process. That took about 3 days. He repainted and cleaned everything up, so we were ready to order the cabinet. We ordered the cabinet and he came back to install it and add trim. That was a day or so. Then our countertop came in and after installation, he came back and finished the trim and painting, which took less than a day. Overall, we were very pleased with the work and would have him do work for us again. We already referred him to a couple of other friends, one of whom he's just finished work on a bathroom remodel. Eric Honea exceeded our expectations. After reaching out to multiple contractors Eric was the only one who responded and completed an on-site quote for the completion of our unfinished basement quickly. He is a highly professional, and more importantly, trustworthy. Our projects initially included the completion of the basement, painting a bedroom, and the installation of 2 toilets and storage shelving in our garage. However, it evolved into a few other minor items which included a few other minor items. He started our projects sooner than expected and did a marvelous job. He was prompt each day and after providing him with a clear picture what we envisioned for the space, he listened attentively and offered recommendations that we had not previously considered. He was incredibly easy to communicate with and always answered our phone calls, which was a pleasant surprise each time. I would describe him as being extremely organized, he ensured our floors were protected while moving equipment, supplies, etc. We have never worked with a contractor, who was as neat and clean as Eric, well as clean as you can be during construction. At the end of each day there was no debris or other items scattered about, he took great effort in this area. After the completion of our projects, he took care of the removal his equipment and trash. No need for us to put anything out with our normal trash. Eric was amazing! His attention to detail and incredibly responsive made this experience for us flawless. We will definitely use Honea Construction again in the future and would recommend you utilize them without reservation.‎

Honea Construction did a small bathroom remodel. It was gutted down to the studs. We had the tub walls tiled with niches installed and also had wall niches added for extra storage. Eric did a great job. His care and attention to detail made the bathroom look great. He was very efficient completing the job in one week (compared to a different contractor that took 8 weeks for a comparable bathroom). Eric gave us a great price and we plan on hiring him again for future projects. We strongly recommend Honea Construction.

Eric Honea put in a laundry room and remodeled a large room in my home. The laundry enclosure is beautiful as is the pine tongue-in-groove cathedral ceiling and the tile work he did. His work is exceptional. There is a lot of hit-or-miss construction going on out there, but I was so glad to find Eric on Angie's List and read how his work is of the highest quality. I was especially pleased that we were able to exchange ideas as the job evolved and I am extremely pleased with the finished product. I highly recommend Honea Construction.

Eric was very professional during the entire process. We began the planning in the fall and began construction in January. We had over 1200 sqft finished with a full bath, bedroom, living room and gym. Eric put down various protective mats, plastic and tape to protect all finished surfaces throughout the house. He was great at cleaning the area and keeping the space tidy. He kept to himself throughout the day and encouraged us to see the progress at the end of every day to provide any feedback. Like any project, ensure you are very specific about the hardware and finishes you want as he provides details at the beginning and we ended up making a few changes throughout the process, but Eric was very understanding and patient with us. The results are fantastic and we are very happy with how it turned out. We would happily recommend Eric and we would use him again on our next project.

It went well. We were pleased with Eric's work and performance. Changes were accepted and completed patiently without exception. We received several mis-shipments of plumbing fixtures, and Eric came back several times to install them, only to find out the the wrong one was sent again. "No problem" he said. He always seemed to be cognizant of our satisfaction throughout the job. We are very satisfied with the outcome.

Fabulous job that exceeded our expectations. Reasonable pricing. We were given a timeframe for the project and it was done on the date promised at the agreed price. No games. Eric was here every day and didn't disappear or no show like many contractors. Detail is exceptional with no shortcuts. Daily clean up with care given to our furniture, walls and floors. As good as it gets.

I called and left a message for Eric and within 24 hours he had replied and came out the next day to give us an estimate. We had the estimate within the next 24 hours and had to check about a possible leak in the room that he had pointed out before we could continue. Things proceeded and Eric came and did the work and also a few other little things that I had wanted done and we are very pleased. He was so easy to work with and very professional. We would definitely contact Eric again with no hesitation.

We were very satisfied with the results. The work was started in the timeframe promised and finished a little earlier than expected. We appreciated the responsiveness to e-mails and calls and him keeping us informed of the timeframe throughout the process.

Well, I'd like to start by saying that Eric is extremely efficient and professional. He does everything with purpose and perfection. An example of this is when he was getting set up to do the backsplash in the kitchen. He was couldn't find the gas shut off to the stove - so he went down to the basement to find it - and realized that the contractors that finished the basement - walled in the valve. So, he immediately cut away the drywall and installed an access panel so that we could easily get to it in the future. Eric is just like that. He wants to do things right. I can't believe how much different (and so much better) our house looks with the work that he did! The doors are beautiful, and we can't wait to enjoy the screened in porch come Spring! He does great tile work as well! I also liked working together with Eric as he will always offer his opinion on how something should be done - and most of the time, I followed his advice. However, there were times when I already had a different way in my head and I found that It was easy enough to talk him into my vision - and on those few occasions, he happily did it my way. I will post some pictures once I finish painting the trim. The only reason that I gave Eric a "B" in responsiveness was the fact that his schedule is pretty full - and if you decide to go with him - you need to get on his schedule and you might have to wait a couple of weeks - but you will realize that he is a one-man show and the wait is worth it! So it is completely understandable. However, if you write him an email, call him, or text him - he will get back to you within 24 hrs - so he is VERY good at communication. Also - I need to mention that I feel like his pricing is extremely reasonable. I would recommend Eric for any job that he feels capable of taking on.. You won't be disappointed.

Honea Construction began the bathroom remodeling with putting down protective carpets and sheets of plastic on the floors. The demo was done in one day. The rest of the remodeling was done in the days following. Honea Construction worked six days a week to get the job finished. Great job!!!
