Concrete Hero

Concrete Hero (Pete Catalano) installed a new driveway for my home in 2020. I spent a significant amount of money and trusted their expertise. Concrete Hero damaged my curb and sidewalk and gave me a really hard time about coming back to fix it. They put some mismatched concrete in the damaged areas which has since crumbled away and looks horrible. Within a year, the entire concrete driveway was pitting everywhere, crumbling at the edges, and has many cracks. Although I have a 3-year warranty, the company is not returning ANY of my calls or emails (I've been trying for almost 3 years, not a single response). I would NEVER use them again or refer them to anyone. I also made a Google review to which they replied that they came to my house to review and discuss. This is a lie. Despite calls, emails, and letters, they have not responded even ONCE. They also claimed this is wear and tear, which is also BS. My driveway is crumbling throughout, and I don't use salt nor plow. My neighbors have even commented. I've never had problems with any other contractors over the years, but this is 100% shady business. I would pass on this compnay, BEWARE, their warranty is worthless!

Stop looking for a concrete leveling company and use Peter and his crew at Concrete Hero. They are kind people, expert tradesmen, and equally great communicators. From my first interaction with Peter, he listened to my objectives, suggested a cost effective course of action, and set out a clear timeline for completion. The crew arrived on-time, were careful with my property, and checked in at various points to ensure my expectations were being met. I needed two of my front walkway concrete slabs raised and levelled to be even with the other and to drain water away from the house. Concrete Hero was easy to schedule for an estimate. Communication over email and phone was prompt and helpful. The online estimate and contract process was convenient. Their price was higher than another company, but they matched the other estimate and offered an additional service for a little extra. The work was done on schedule in a reasonable amount of time. I noticed the workers took extra care to make sure we got the desired result. The work came with a lifetime guarantee.

The project, from proposal stage to completion, was performed in a professional and timely manner. Pricing was reasonable and fair. Pete Catalano answered all my questions about the work to my complete satisfaction. Service included raising and leveling walkway to front stoop, crack repair to front stoop and raising and leveling concrete walkway to side entrance.

After having a really unprofessional experience with another co., we opted to have a consult with this co. We cld. their offices a very nice woman (Melinda) set up an appt. Peter came out within 1 day to do estimate. He was professional and answered all of our questions. Within a few days he sent us a proposal and scheduled the work. The workmen arrived early and worked for hours correcting the problem. All throughout the work these workmen were very professional, kept me up to date on what they were doing, cleaned up throughout the process and most of all took the time necessary to do the job properly. The concrete slab now looks great and is ready for the next phase of additional work we will be having done in the Spring. Because of the prior experience with another co. who initially came out to do the work and did nothing but complain that the work couldn't be done. This is spite of the salesman for the co. who said this was easy work. The workmen (2 men who had on dirty uniforms and we were the first call of the day) that came out were very unprofessional, wanted to run their dirty (foam) hoses thru my home on my expensive hardwood floors, they did not clean up and ultimately did not complete the job after being at our house for hours. The co. then cx. numerous times due to equipment issues. Finally after having such a difficult time with this co., we cx. and they refunded our deposit. Catalano's concrete was a much different experience. This co. did not make excuses, they stayed in touch with us and offered us additional information about what ultimately could be done with the concrete slab (epoxy coating). We felt we were treated as a priority, instead of waiting for a month to do the work, they scheduled within a week which was very impressive to us as homeowners. All in all we are very HAPPY with this co. and would use them again the future. Peter and his crew know exactly what they are doing and don't make promises they can't keep or fulfill. A wonderful co. to do business with.

My experience with Catalano was extremely positive. They provided a quote with an estimate of when they could do the job. They arrived on time and completed the job on time. The driveway looks great; I would hire again.

Great job! The process went smoothly from the on-line quote request through the repair. Catalano Concrete arrived on time and reviewed the process to raise the sunken concrete square. The polyjacking process was completed in an hour and we were able to use it immediately after. The repair looks fantastic!

Both jobs went well. We ran into an issue which we were able to work out to our mutual satisfaction. They were always professional, responsive to emails, and did a good job of cleaning up the job sites and nearby areas daily. The new driveway and patio look great. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for good results and who stands behind their work.

We were very pleased with the process and the end product. Everything went very smoothly. This is a family run business that knows what they are doing. Sol, the owner, and his son Pete have been in business for over 40 years. I was very impressed with Sol and his supervision of the entire project. His workers were very well trained and supervised and worked very efficiently. We received many complements on the driveway and their quote was very competitive. Their written description of the work outlines everything that will be done and they deliver on it. I would highly recommend them.

Project went well. No surprises. Brick pavers mortored onto a concrete base was sinking. Peter jacked it up to the correct level and then injected the two part mixture to fill the void. Clean operation, no mess.

They did an excellent job. I looked around and there was no one close to their price. They came up with some other ideas and no one else even came close. I was a little disappointed with the quality, but they did come out and fix some of it. Yes, I would use this service provider again.

The Catalano crew did an amazing job. The guys were meticulous in their work and were a real team. They delivered 100%. We watched a masterpice built from the bottom up. The crew was even able to put up our existing railing. I was so impressed that Mr. Catalano personally appeared mutiple times daily. He got in the trenches with the crew. The concrete trucks were right in tune with his directions. He made sure personally that a plastic tarp was put in when rain threatened our stoop.Our bid was very reasonable and we recommend Catalano Concrete wholeheartedly. Amazing 😎

People were very neat, responsible, flexible and overall they met my expectations (excellent) The service provided was excellent throughout the entire project.

We did a bunch of research about how to raise our sidewalk, which had sunk about 3 inches below the top of our driveway. We learned that "polyjacking" is far superior to "mudjacking", even though it can be hard to find good contractors. Through google and angieslist, we found three good contractors, but one was out of our service area. Catalano's online quoting process was a piece of cake. We explained what we needed done and uploaded a picture. They quoted in a manner of hours. I asked a quick question, then decided to have the work done. It was a great decision. They were fast and professional, and did a great job at a fair price. The sidewalk is now level with the driveway again, and it was immediately usable after the work was done. Two tiny holes that you don't even see unless you look for them.

My driveway is crumbling away. They told me it was because of too much salt. I only put on it sodium chloride which is supposed to be concrete friendly. I would give them an "A" for everything if they would come and fix my driveway.

It was awesome. They did a fantastic job and my driveway looks wonderful. Pete and Sal are very professional and punctual. They gave suggestions that I didn't even think about, and are very aware of the village codes. They went above and beyond by removing all old bricks and other debris. They even put down boards on the grass for their machines so my lawn wasn't ruined. They were at my house when they said they would be. I have never seen anyone work harder than the Catalano crew. I would hire them and recommend to anyone in need of concrete work. A++
