Attic Air

Our previous contractor did a horrible job exhausting the bathroom fan through the attic - he used the wrong duct, and didn't even exhaust it properly. I called Robert on Feb 28 for a FREE estimate, and he arrived on time, on the same day. I decided to utilize his services, and his crew arrived on March 8 and did an outstanding job - super fast, efficient, and clean. Robert arrived to overlook the work and assist in blowing insulation. They were all kind enough to remove their shoes before entering the home without even having to ask them. After the work was complete, they did an excellent job cleaning up. A very professional and knowledgeable crew.

Called Attic Air and made an appointment to check attic fan and quote cost to add insulation. Robert Carroll was on time for appointment, completed inspection and clearly knew what he was talking about. Provided a competitive quote and agreed to do the work that weekend. While he was running late on arrival that weekend, he called to alert us to his delay. Once he and his team arrived, the work was completed on time and to my complete satisfaction.

Robert came out within a couple days of our call and provided us with an estimate for our work. We wanted to add insulation to our attic, install an attic fan and add two bathroom exhaust fan vents to the outside of the attic. We were also looking for Robert to help us understand how we could better insulate a bonus room that is usually VERY cold in the winter and VERY hot in the summer. Robert explained exactly what he could to to help solve the bonus room problem as part of the overall estimate. He came out one week later to complete the project. The project was completed in a timely manner for the agreed upon costs. They were very careful to make sure they did not make a mess with the insulation and they were great about cleaning up. We were very happy with the work and we've noticed a big difference in the bonus room temperature. Could not be happier!

Robert immediately scheduled me, came out for a free estimate, and was very knowledgeable, detailed, and honest. I needed the work done right away, and he was very accommodating, even being willing to come back out the same day if needed. We ended up doing the work a couple of days later, and he and his guys were in and out in no time, leaving no mess behind. I would strongly recommend this company!

I used Attic Air in the Fall of 2006 to remove a whole house fan that didn't work properly and was very happy with their work. I got their name from Angie's List. My attic is divided to three sections. The front portion is unheated and had insulation batts in the rafters. The center portion of the attic is living space (a bedroom and bath). The back part of the attic is unheated and had insulation batts in the rafters at one time. A carpenter I had hired in 2006 took the attic batts out of the rafters and laid them on the floor and placed additional batts on top of them. Recently, I found out I had mice in the attic. I could not move around the back portion of the attic with all of the insulation batts on the floor. I called Robert at Attic Air and he came out on 11/20/2012. I showed him the attic. He told me the batts were not really doing anything for me because they were in the rafters or on the attic floor. The insulation really needed to be next to the heated space between the attic floor and the ceiling below. He gave a quote of $2065 to remove the insulation batts, dispose of them and blow in insulation in the space between the attic floor and the ceilings below. Because I really liked the job he did for me in 2006, I asked him to do this job. He scheduled the work for the following Monday (11/26/2012) at 8am. Robert called me around 7:45am to say his two men would be there at 8am to start work and he would be there about twenty minutes later. Manny and Felix arrive at 8am sharp and set up all of the tarps and equipment and started working. Robert came and left shorty afterwards for another appointment, but came back later. They guys did a great job. They removed the batts, bagged them and took them outside. Fortunately, it was garbage collection day where I live. They paid the garbage man to haul away the bags of old insulation. They ran some big hoses up to the attic windows to operate the vacuum and blower. The removed some attic floor boards and blew in the new insulation. When they were done with that, they reattached the floor boards and vacuumed up the dust and dirt. The removed the tarps and vacuumed the steps and side entry way. They were quiet, clean, friendly and professional. The total cost came to $1961, $104 less than the quote. When Robert first came to inspect the attic, he told me I had mold in the attic and if I ever decided to sell the house I would need to take care of it. I wanted to handle it asap and asked him for some recommendations of mold removal companies. He gave me three of the them which I checked out on Angie's List which is another report. All of them were well rated and I did use one of them.

The whole process was very smooth and professional. Robert came out first to look over the situation and gave us an estimate to install two attic fans. After getting a couple other bids, we decided to use Robert to install our fans. He and his helper were very prompt, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. We are very happy with our purchase.

Great experience. In purchasing out house, the inspector found that the bathroom fans were venting into the attic and there was considerable mold. So, the sellers called Robert to give an estimate for replacing the fans and routing them to vent properly. Once we closed I followed up with Robert to get the work done. He was super nice and very responsive. We scheduled the work for the day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday!). He gave me a reminder call that morning about our call (and I'm glad he did because I written down the time for a 1/2 hour later). He and his crew immediately got to work and even put on shoe covers! I asked him to take a look at the attic vents and let me know what he thought about adding gable vents, as suggested by another contractor. He took a look and told us that we didn't need to that. He did notice that the guys who had done the mold mitigation in the attic had actually spray painted over the existing vents, which would have only caused more mold! We asked if he could replace them and he did so on the spot. He also advised us to call the owner of the mold mitigation company to let him know that our vents had been painted over. My husband called that company owner only to find out that Robert had already spoken to him and a check for replacing our vents was already in the mail. I would easily call Robert again.

Robert was very professional and he stated if this did not work he would come back and vent the bathroom fans a diffrent way and that he would take the original 85 usd we paid him off the cost if he needed to change the venting.

We called for an estimate, and Robert Carrol came to our house in just a few days. We received a detailed quote, and he walked us through everything that needed work. He was extemly honest, and knowledgable. The team came out on a Saturday, and were exremly professinal. They kept everything very clean, and worked very quickly. Robert walked us through everything they did, and we could not be happier with the level of service we received. We would highly reccomend attic air!

Accepted the quote and scheduled the work for that weekend. Robert and his crew were delayed in traffic, but called twice to update arrival time. Got right to work. Very neat. Tarps from the attic entry to the door. Finished the work, including new bath vent connection, in two hours. Carful to show me all the work done and get my approval before cleaning up. All-in-all a very excellent experience.

They arrived promptly on the day of the appointment. Robert and his crew were very professional and clean; wearing booties and placing a drop cloth. Tested the old fan and confirmed it dead. I authorized the replacement and his crew went to work. In the meantime, Robert performed a free inspection of our insulation and airflow in the attic. He answered several of our questions along the way about mold, etc. They replaced the fan, calibrated the thermostat, and were gone within an hour. I definitely would consider using them again in the future.

Arrived promptly at 8:00 a.m. and were cleaned up and out by 11. Three man crew thorough and efficient. Blew in insulation in attic through long older ranch home. Were careful to work around whole house fan and created lip around attic opening we use to access the area for storage.

They came out as promised, gave me an estimate and explained my options, and completed the work extremely fast. In addition to adding insulation to the attic they replaced roof vents and fixed a broken motor on a roof fan. All the work was done fast and well, and they left without any trace of having been here except that now the upstairs is tolerable again.

I called them and they came out the next day. They squeezed me into their schedule. The attic fan was OK, it turns out. They explained everything very well, fixed it on the spot, and cleaned up. I was happy with the work, and the cost was reasonable.

Robert Carroll, the owner, came out within 2 days for the estimate and was there 2 days after I accepted his estimate. He and his crews professionalism and quality of workmanship were beyond expectation. I'm usually a bit on guard dealing with contractors but Robert quickly put that to rest with his down to earth personality and his willingness to make sure that you understood the whole project. He was on time, did a great job and cleaned up what little debris there was. I would highly recommend his services.

It was an excellent service. They came in with a crew that was professional, clean, and efficient. They took a look and gave us an estimate. We had a preference for their efficiency so we went with them. They did a good job.

I called Attic Air late thursday and they scheduled me for the following Saturday afternoon.They arrived when they said they would, replaced the faulty fan and thermostat, cleaned up the area, and were done within 40 minutes.The fan has a lifetime guarantee. The men that did the work were friendly and professional.

From estimate to conclusion of work, Robert and his team were on-time and professional. They did the work efficiently and were perfect in clean up (especially important with insulation). I plan to do some work in my master bath and will call Robert back for that. Great job!

Robert, the owner, came out on a Sunday morning to evaluate situation and give me an estimate. HE noticed signs of water infiltration, offered explanation and added this to his estimate. said that insulation in attic looked good, just needed to be moved and then have more added over. Agreed and made appt on Saturday to have the work done. On saturday, arrived at the agreed to time. Robert, the owner, came himself with two other workers and he oversaw the whole operation. After putting foam insulation around the bathroom fan, he then had worker go on roof with bucket of water and found a good sized leak from thermal solar panels. Was able to secure this and put roofing sealer around this and stop leak. He then fixed insulation and added more blown in insulation to about an R50 value. In addition he also installed baffle vents under the roof vents to prevent migration of the insulation out of the attic. (??) Anyway, a good action which he did not charge for. Overall, am very pleased with the job and believe that it will help reduce our heating bills next winter b/c of improved insulation. Of course, only time will tell, but have had very good experience with this company and would highly recommend them for attic ventilation and insulation based on my experience with them.

Robert Carroll is the owner. He is an excellent guy. He did the work. The job he did between the crawl space and putting the insulation put in the attic made my energy bill went down by 25%.

We recently had Robert out to replace our bathroom fan exhaust and while there he noticed that our soffits weren't properly vented, and gave me an on the spot quote. (This was a concern we had already mentioned to the company that replaced our fascia, exterior trim, etc. but they insisted that the vents were fine. Robert took the time to show how the other installer had left the soffits and to explain to me why that was a problem.) We called Attic Air a few weeks later to proceed with the soffit venting. They showed up on time, honored the verbal quote they'd given before, worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up any debris that was left in our yard. Before they left my husband asked Robert if he could check inside the attic to see if he thought insulation was blocking the new vents - he and his crew went in our (low and unpleasant) attic to ensure the vents were clear. We appreciated them going that extra step and would highly recommend this company.
