This was a home warranty service with a deductible of 100 dollars. With the amount of work done it may have been cheaper, but because they knew how much my deductible was, the cost was conveniently 100. The technician was on time and pleasant while in our home. He was careful not to track snow in do to the winter weather. He checked all components and cleaned the temperature sensors. He couldn't find anything specific wrong, but what he did worked and the oven has maintained the proper temperature since his visit.

We called the central office to straighten the situation out and reschedule. We were then told that they would not do business with us. What a complete waste of time. Mean while out washing machine is still broke. The lack of professionalism was a shock. If you don't want to service your customer then please go out of business and don't waste people's time.
Description of Work: The provider did nothing. This would have been the second time using this company. The first time the owner did the warranty work and we had no problem. This time was a disaster. We were told that the tech would call 30 min ahead of time. We arrived home 30 min after his call. Then we proceeded to wait for another 30 min. When called, the tech stated that he was no longer in the area and would not be returning. He then berated my wife for not being home when supposed to.

We are flabbergasted at this man's attitude--no sympathy to us for us having an expensive 4 month old new range that is totally non functional. Just turns and leaves. Obviously he is having a bad day--but this leaves us having to call someone else and waiting more days rangeless. Just waiting is getting expensive-- If he didn't want to do a repair on a range still under warranty, he should have said so instead of wasting our time.
Description of Work: Came to our house after we had waited for 2 days with no parts, no tools and no interest in fixing our 4 month old Frigidaire Gallery Range. When asked if all he was going to do was look at it--he said no and turned on his heel and left! He should have known what to bring--Frigidaire told us the fault code displayed on the range indicated he needed a control panel which we thought he was bringing. If we knew that, he should have too!

Replaced cracked drain assembly under manufacturer warranty. They did not have the replacement part in stock, so they did a temporary fix to stop the leak until the replacement part arrived. They were very professional and courteous and I would use them again.

Mike, the owner of Aldo was prompt, professional and competent in his ability to assess the problem on my Electrolux refrigerator and fix it in a timely manner. I would definitely contact him again for future service.

He was professional, courteous, honest and fair with his prices. Even though he was very busy, he came by the same day and was highly knowledgeable about how to repair it. I got some great professional advice and I will use him for all my future appliance repairs. Excellent service at a reasonable price!

He was very good and reasonable. He was honest and straightforward. He charged me the service call and said that it might last 10 minutes, an hour or a year. He fixed it and I haven't had a problem since. It was all covered in the service call. The refrigerator is still working. It was really cheap compared to some of the other providers. He said what he could do and it was all included in the original price to come out and look at it, which made me very happy. They were very responsive and called right away. They came out as soon as they could to look at it. They were very professional and neat. They cleaned up after themselves. They were awesome. They were on time. There was one day they said they were going to be a little late and they were on time anyway. They were very considerate of the consumer.
Description of Work: I used Aldo Appliance Service to fix a couple of my appliances. I had a refrigerator that wasn't working at all.

Aldo came out when scheduled, called a half-hour before as promised, was polite, appeared to solve my issue (I won't be sure until I see the fridge stays cool over an extended period), and was more than fair in giving me some value-add given that I had an easily solved-problem but he had to charge for a service visit.
Description of Work: The appliances in my home are under a home warranty. My Frigidaire refrigerator was not cooling properly and I also had a leak in my ice maker line. Aldo could not come out until the next day, so I figured it was worth paying for a different provider who was well-rated on Angie's List to come out immediately. That contractor came out, took a quick look and said that I'd have to completely replace the cooling unit for over $450, and that I'd be better off buying a new refrigerator because the 2002 model I have wouldn't last much longer anyway. Although I appreciated his honesty and he was more than reasonable for that day's service fee, I decided to wait the day for Aldo, who came out today. Luckily for me, the Aldo repair man was extremely knowledgeable about the Frigidaire model I have. He diagnosed an unusual problem that was easily fixed, fixed the leak in the ice maker line and also raised the legs so that the plastic cover for the water line would stay on better, all for the $100 that the home warranty requires be charged for a service visit. I'm not sure what the pricing would have been otherwise, but I am very pleased not to have paid the first guy for a much more extensive repair, albeit his company was much better rated.

Our stove broke down in July and our home warrenty insurance sent out this guy, Mike, which turn out to be my worst nightmare!!! He came in the first time was nice and friendly - but that was it! The next time he came in - he had to order a part. A few weeks past by and still no call from him, so I called back. He said he will come in next Friday - I waited all day for him, but he turned out to be a no show!!! So, I called them again and he eventually came out, but said he forgot a part!!! So, he had to come back. He was a "no-show" a couple of times after that as well. Then eventually he came back, and guess what - HE FORGOT A PART AGAIN!!!! Are you kidding me!!! Then he said he will be back in two days - guess what!!! He was a no show!!! So I called and told him that I don't have any patient with him anymore - it's been 3 and something months for cry out loud - but he never came back and finished off the work. My guess is that this company or Mike has no idea how to fix the issue we have with our stove! We now of course in the process of reporting him, Mike, to the homewarrenty company insurance and will see what happens. If you hired him or got him through your homewarrenty insurance - my heart goes out to you! You probably won't have whatever it is fixed anytime soon!
Description of Work: We have Mike came in regarding our stove sometime in early July. Everytime he came in, except the first time where he seemed nice, he was rude and was on the phone entire time while he try to figure out things, and it was definitely private phone call not business. He stayed around 10 - 15 minutes each time, if he showed up of course as he was a no-show several times, then we would say "I forgot a part, so I have to come back, maybe in two days. And I know exactly what it needs to fix this thing, so next time when I come it'd only take me 5-10 minutes!" - He said this every time he came to our house!

Two separate $100 service calls which were covered under HWA home insurance. Mike diagnosed the garbage disposal leak saying we needed a new unit. He returned and installed it in less than two hours and we have had no problems. The other time we needed a microwave door hinge support and light bulb replacement (it wouldn't just unscrew - you had to disassemble part of the microwave unit-unbelievable!). Although it took a few weeks for the parts to come in, Mike came and fixed both parts in less than an hour. Only complaint was there was a discrepancy about what was covered by my policy, so I had to pay Aldo and then get reimbursed for the cost of the bulb.
Description of Work: Repaired/replaced garbage disposal. Repaired microwave door assembly and replaced light.

Was referred to this company from my home warranty. My stove's ignite would not turn off on a stove that was very new. Technician showed up on time and diagnosed the problem very quickly. Unfortunately, we had to wait a week for the replacement part. however, in the meantime he did reconfigure the unit so we could at least use the cook top. On his return he replaced the part and was done in less than 30 minutes.
Description of Work: Replaced clock and temp control unit on range.
