Mike came by on Thursday afternoon (11/8/12), and after looking over the house and discussing the work to be done, gave me a verbal estimate and we made the appointment for Saturday (11/10/12) to complete the work. During this initial consultation, we added the task of power washing a fence to my initial list of services, which ultimately saved me a lot of time and effort in preparation for re-painting. Mike and Jim arrived on time on Saturday, 11/10/12, set-up quickly, worked diligently, and did a great job. One side of the house was particularly dirty and Mike showed me the difference after cleaning the first ~10% of the area - what a difference! (Talk about the 'wow' factor.) The house looks great - the siding like new. After the siding was done, Mike pointed out some mildew (or whatever) on a small portion of the east-facing roof that rarely gets any sun. He power washed that for me also, for a very small additional charge (I initiated - only fair as it wasn't in the scope of the original estimate). Now roof looks new also! The fence also turned out well - saving me hours and hours of scraping. A bottom board was off one section of the fence (which may or may not have been due to the power washing - the fence is old and need of repairs) and Mike and Jim nailed it back on at no charge. It also rained at least once since the work was done and the gutters are working properly. I had a very good experience with this company. The rate was definitely affordable (60% less than I paid for gutter cleaning 2 yrs. ago and ~50% less than I was quoted by another company for power washing 2 yrs. ago), Mike and Jim were professional and personable and they performed quality work. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to others.

Mike does a great job from start to finish! He responds to calls right away, arrives on time and gets the whole job done. It is such a relief to have someone we can trust to do a thorough job at a very reasonable price.

We called Mike to get an estimate to wash our windows on our house. He came by on a Saturday to give us an estimate to wash the inside and outside as well as the screens of approximately 30 windows. His estimate was $150 - much more reasonable than other companies I contacted plus he came out to take a look for himself. Mike said he would be able to complete the services that Tuesday and would call on his way. He called when he was on his way and arrived in the window of time given. Mike was friendly and professional. He did a great job. Our windows and screens look like new! We would definitely use his services again.

I purchased the Angie's List deal for $119 for 3500 square feet of gutter cleaning. They were extremely responsive and it was easy to schedule - they don't require the homeowner to be present since all the work is exterior. They showed up when they promised and even removed some vines from the gutters at the garage - they went above and beyond and I would definitely use them again!

Mike contacted me by email and was flexible in scheduling the gutter cleaning. He was on-time, brought his own buckets, bags, etc. to do the work. He explained what was in the gutters and the issue that had blocked the gutter - a neighbor's ball stuck under a gutter brace. An excellent experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Contacted Mike on Sunday, the 21st and he was at our home as promised and pressure washed the house and cleaned the gutters even though there was a steady rain (at times very heavy). We recommend Mike to anyone who needs their gutters cleaned or house power washed. Very nice fellow.

We had our gutters cleaned and he even replaced the missing guards with ones we purchased. we have sold the house and didn't need to purchase long term guards. what a pleasure he was to work with. you can't go wrong using Mike - he's the best!

Mike did a great job. He is professional, thorough, and detail minded. He cleaned out the gutters of the accumulated mud and gunk and hosed them clean. Very pleased with the job he did. I will definitely be hiring Mike when my gutters clog up the next time.

I called for an estimate and he returned the call and came out to give an estimate. We scheduled the work for 8 am Monday, he was on time and finished by noon.

Not a great job. Did not carry ladder to go on to the roof.

I originally purchased the service for gutter cleaning. It occurred to me that I was going to be replacing the gutters so it didn't make sense to have them cleaned for a few short months. I called "Affordable" and asked if I could use the money for window washiing. Without hesitation, he agreed and said to call him when I was ready to make the appointment. After the roof, siding and gutters had been replaced, I called to set an appointment to have the windows washed. Affordable and I agreed on a date. They were on time, efficient and professional. Best of all, my windows are very clean. I will be contacting Affordable next year also.

I am very happy with the service performed by Mike. I purchased the Big Deal and called for an estimate for any additional cost required to pressure wash my large deck (650 Sq ft). Mike came out within two days and provided the estimate. The price is reasonable so I decided to use this company. Mike and his son showed up on time and spent the whole afternoon getting the deck washed. I previously expressed my concern about using the deck cleaner because my baby has allergies. They were very accommodative and considerate of not using the cleaner solution unless absolutely necessary on some tough spots. This means that the job will take longer to complete because the dirt that has accumulated over the years takes longer to come off without applying the cleaning chemical. But they did it without second thought and didn't charge me additional fee. I feel that this company has integrity, works hard and really cares about their customers. I would recommend them to anyone that needs a good washing. Thanks Mike and your family for being so understanding.

My experience from beginning to end with Mike and Affordable Window was stellar! He answered the phone when I called and we set up an estimate appointment. We agreed on the scope of the work, a price and a start date. The day arrived and they were EARLY, went right to work and were pleasant, efficient and clean. We had a large deck, patio and front porch pressure washed. A large teak patio set needed some freshening up also. The work had not been done in quite a while so it was extremely dirty! Mike researched an environmentally friendly cleaner to protect my plants and it worked really well. They fixed little things we hadn't even discussed, here and there on our property, and even did some landscaping/tree removal work for me! The result is a beautiful, inviting deck, patio and porch. The furniture's beauty has returned too! The price for the work was more than reasonable and I hope to have them back for future window/gutter work! Thanks to Mike and Affordable Window!

We have lived in our (two-story) home for several years now and we thought it was time for various maintenance projects. I went right to Angie's List and searched for businesses that would do both power washing and window cleaning. I read through numerous reports. Ultimately, we called Affordable Window Cleaning (AWC) and several others for quotes. When we called AWC, we discussed the job with Mike. Mike drove out the same day and provided a quote. After speaking with each of the businesses and evaluating the quotes, we selected AWC. The quotes were all really close, but we were impressed by all the positive reviews of AWC and Mike's responsiveness. He estimated the job would take about 5-6 hours. We scheduled the services several weeks in advance as we were coordinating other (unrelated) services. On the scheduled day, Mike arrived right on time and asked us if we had any special issues or concerns. First, he did the pressure washing, starting at the garage. We were outside working on a project, so we were able to observe how he progressed (kind of scary to watch) and answer questions our neighbors had about what he was doing. When I went to take a peek, I could not believe how well he cleaned the garage door. It looks new. Also, we have a good deal of landscaping, which made it through the process unscathed. We could not believe how clean the windows were when Mike was done. Seriously, our windows are so clean that it seems like they are open (or there that there is no glass at all). We chatted a little with Mike about how often we should be performing these services and so on (we learned that he has decades of experience). He was professional, friendly, neat and tidy, and charged us exactly what he quoted. Overall, Mike did a great job (needing only 4 hours) and we are very pleased. We are also happy that we were able to use a small business. Interestingly, when he left, he had a note on his truck from one of our neighbors, asking for a quote. We think we will definitely be calling Mike again.

Our house is very tall on one side since it is a 2 story home with a full walk basement and the lowest ceiling is 9 foot including the basement. Lots of big windows in the home. 7 big window are hard to reach as they are in a 2 story room. He cleaned the windows inside and out doing a good job without leaving a mess. In one place he pointed out a stain on the house he could not get out. I felt bad because I forgot to tell him that was not dirt but reddish brown stain from when I did the fence. Very nice and professional I plan on hireing again.
