Rector Contracting

To my surprise it only took approximately 2 hours, but that included doing repair to rotten wood that was discovered upon removal of old patio door. He repaired the bad wood, and because our house was not exactly level, we live in a double wide mobile home and the house had shifted slightly, he adjusted the doors so that they slide open and close with no problems, also ensuring that the locks worked properly. Very beautiful and professional job. He had recently replaced 3 other windows in our house and we are so pleased with the quality of his work, and his helper, that we will continue to use him in the future for any further repairs or new projects. He not only installed the windows, but went one step further and built the inside framing around the windows. He took off the old stuff and put in new pieces of wood, so that everything matched really nicely. He did that on his own, and I didn't even ask him to do that. I don't know if he took that into account when he charged me for the windows, but the price was very reasonable. In fact, we are actually thinking about having him do our patio doors. He has really done some good work around our vicinity here. He is very punctual, and if he says that he will come at 8 o' clock, he is there at 8 o' clock. There was one incident when we had been smelling what felt like burnt wiring, and we had an electrician come out and look in the area. The first thing he said was that our fuse box was old and we should have that updated. He said that they could do that for us and it would cost $6000. He said that it would be $950 if they had to break into the wall, and it would be additional money for each outlet that they would have to go into if they had to pull the wall out. We called Mr. Rector and told him about our problem and requested him to come over and take a look. He told us that they would have to break into the wall, and he took it apart almost exactly like it was installed. The minute he did that, there was a puff of smoke that came up, and sure enough, we had wires that were touching and actually burning. So, he literally saved our house from a fire. It was the wiring in that one particular area and had nothing to do with the fuse box. We were able to get the wiring repaired due to him finding that and everything. He just went above and beyond, and he advised us on what to do. There was no damage to the wall when he pulled it out, and all we had to do was nail it back in place. He was careful about what he did, and he did literally save our house. I have nothing bad to say about him. He is, by far, very good to work with, and he is reasonable. He has a big heart, and if he knows that somebody is in a really bad spot, and something has to be done and there is no getting away from it, he will try and work within their budget. He will work within a budget, or he will do the best available for our budget. He will advise us, whether or not it can be done within that budget, and how much more it would cost if he has to go over. He is a little hard on his workers, but not with the clients. He makes sure his workers do it right.

He was reasonably priced and did a wonderful job. I liked hi services a lot and will continue to use him in future.
