Lakeside Appliance Repair

I called Lakeside (Don Lewis) on a Saturday to schedule a visit to fix a recurring problem I had with a Maytag washer. I'd already tried a fix I'd found the internet but the problem returned after several more loads about a week later. I described the problem to Don over the phone and he knew right away what part would need to be replaced. Since I'd already delved into the issue myself, he suggested that I simply order the part and replace it myself since it was apparently easy to replace. He explained that his standard charge for a visit would be $149.50 and the part itself could cost about $100-200, so replacing it myself could save me about half the total cost of the repair. He even directed me to the site from which I could order it (and I found they even have a pick-up location in Arlington Heights!). It's rare to find someone that honest and helpful! I only wish I'd found Lakeside years ago!

Don is very knowledgeable in his profession, upfront and honest. In addition he is very pleasant and easy to work with. He diagnosed our problem, and was able to fix it, including another couple of features that no longer functioned properly. We are very pleased with his service and won't hesitate to call him in the future.

Wow excellent. My refrigerator went out and Don came by in 15 minutes between calls to check it out. It was the thermostat; he had the part on the truck and did it PDQ. He still had the time to make his next appointment. I rarely take the time to do these reviews but he deserves my highest recommendation and testimonial.
