Hi-Line Design, Inc

Dereck and Sean are amazing at what they do and treat remodeling project as if they are working on their own home. We recently had our kitchen remodeled by Hi-Line design Inc and we are really pleased by the quality of work. Some of the key things that sets them apart from rest of the construction guys I have dealt with are: 1. Sean's ability to envision the potential for the space and then let customer make the decision. 2. Responsiveness to text and email massages: Although they offered to go shopping for products with them when needed, we were unable to do that. We were really busy and just dealt with Sean mostly over the Text or email. Sean was extremely responsive to our messages and addressed all of our concerns, when we had them. 3. Staying really true to the estimated cost - Sean and Dereck were really good at not lowballing the estimate and then later increasing the cost. Our kitchen remodeling was really close to estimate provided by Hi-Line, some increase was created by us selecting higher end products. 4. Completion before estimated time. This by far the most important aspect of the remodeling job. Hi-Line design is really good at managing their projects and keeping customer updated. Sean and Dereck were on-time everyday and sent workers on the weekend, when it was okay with us. 5. Best price on the countertops I have seen in the market. Prior to settling with Hi-Line design, I had gotten few quotes for quartz countertops and they were all at least $1000 more then what Hi-Line charged me. 6. No cutting corners and attention to details. I have a bit of OCD personality and would see through many imperfections. However, Sean and Derek surprised me and wife with their work. Because of Sean and Derek today we have a really good kitchen and love spending time there. We didn't think this was even possible until Sean came up with an idea of placing an island and knocking the living room wall. They turn our small kitchen into very spacious and modern kitchen which we will enjoy for the years to come, for that we are really grateful to Hi-Line design Inc. Dharmesh & Bindi Patel

We did a complete master bath tear out and remodel. Darius (Derek) and Sean are amazing to work with. They show up as promised, give fantastic ideas during the project which improved the results greatly, are incredibly patient with problems which they had no control over (e.g. our supplier could not deliver materials on time, repeatedly). Plus they are just two of the nicest and most professional guys in the business. And they always took care to contain the mess and clean up daily. Starting in December, they quickly demolished the old fixtures three days sooner than scheduled. When inevitable surprises behind the walls were revealed, they created workable solutions that actually gave us BETTER results than we would have had. Our suppliers, recommended by a third party, failed several times to deliver the promised materials on-time, causing the project to go on longer than planned. Hi-line had other projects planned elsewhere, but they continued to balance all the projects and we never felt like we were waiting in line. They are true craftsman: for example, even though our bathroom wall tiles arrived unevenly cut, they found a way to lay them that makes them look perfect. This was their first project for us, but we knew of them from other projects done for friends and employer. We are already planning to bring them back in a couple months for another large project. They are awesome, trustworthy, easy to work with, and deliver great results, and their pricing is competitive.

Sean, Derek and their team did high quality work in a very timely fashion. They helped solve problems to achieve the maximum result with reasonable cost. This was the second project I asked them to complete. Hi-Line has earned my trust and respect. I can recommend them without reservation and would definitely use them again.

Hi-Line Design work was superior! These folks had great design and construction ideas, technical competence and integrity. They were very flexible and accommodating of my schedule and needs every step of the way. I would recommend them without hesitation for projects large or small.

Our kitchen design/build firm quoted the countertops as part of the project, but it was pricey so we had Hi-Line do the work. Darek was easy to work with, and involved us in all the key decisions. It was challenging to work with our general contractor, since their timing was never certain. But Hi-Line was flexible, and was there when we needed them to do their part. The end result was beautiful - the countertops and backsplash really dress up the kitchen. We plan to use with Hi-Line for future projects.

They were really good and timely. They did a really good job and I think pretty reasonably priced. I got one other quote and that company was way more expensive.

Both as an individual and as a craftsman everything about Derick and his work was second to none. He generally arrived early and did not leave until his goal for the day was complete and the jobsite cleaned. He took extreme pride in everything he did. The best example was with my plumbing. When all the cabinets were out and the plumbing fully exposed he told me that rather than just improve the slope of the drain pipe to solve the problem of one of my sinks occaisionally backing up and having an odor it would be best for him to make an "island vent" that would permantly fix the problem. I asked how much additional this would be and he said there would be no additonal charge, that he takes pride in his work and that it was his responsibility to "do the right thing" To have a plumber come out and install an island vent would have been aprox $600. The rest of the installation went off without a hitch and Derick completed the project in the agreed upon time frame. I highly reccomend Derick for any countertop or remodling project you may have. He is a man of his word, does excellent work, and always has a smile on his face and a "can do" attitude. I consider myself lucky to have accidently found Derrick when shopping for countertops. He is the first contractor that I have hired without the benefit of an Angieslist rating and I hope this review will help to bring him more business. I have used him on additional projects and he has also done work for my sister in law and one of my neighbors. Both of them have been as pleased as I am.
