I had good experience working with Ruben. He was professional, easy to work with, and seemed honest. I am happy to have used their services and will not hesitate to contact them again for any future work or passing their name around for a good company. After evaluating four different contractors we selected Dave's Concrete to do our driveway September 2014. We made a good choice. The owner, Rubin, and his staff are very experienced and take great pride in what they are doing. Rubin is very friendly to work with and is very concerned that his customers are happy with the work that has been performed. Rubin kept us updated as to when work would be performed and met his commitments. The pre pour building inspectors commented on the good materials that were used for the base. The finished product looked really nice and met our specifications. If I had more concrete work to be done I would go back to Dave's Concrete.

Ruben was very professional. He arrived exactly on time to provide me with an estimate, and his estimate was the lowest of 3 estimates I received. He kept me informed of when he would be able to start work and of the status of the permit from the village. Once the work started, the crew did a beautiful job. I am very pleased with how it looks and the work that was done.

we were looking for an estimate on repairing our steps and sent in a request via the contact form on their website. We got a response in less than 24 hours, but unfortunately we were outside their service area. I would have been happier if they had given me a suggestion for a contractor who DID serve our town, but I appreciated the rapid response.

Called and left detailed message for concrete work. Never called back.

First, Ruben, is very professional and responsive. He is punctual and respectful of other people's time. The cost was very fair and the job was done in a very timely fashion even with a few rainy days. He met AND EXCEEDED all of our expectations and the patio turned out fantastic! I would absolutely 100% refer Ruben and his team in the future! Thank you Ruben!!

Best experience ever! I had the work done last fall. Ruben found a contractor to jack the garage up so he could replace the cracked floor and footings. Most other contractors just wanted to bulldoze and start over. The garage was in decent shape andbthe job turned out fantastic. He also removed and replaced the entire concrete driveway. Ruben is very professional and wonderful to work with. I definitely recommend him highly.

Everything went well and I'm very happy with the job that was done. Ruben helped me decide how to setup the patio layout and worked with me to change it the day of the job because of a slight hill in my backyard. He poured one area a little deeper to support my hot tub pitched it away from the tub while keeping the tub area level.

CALLED PROVIDER ON APRIL 8. PROVIDER RETURNED CALL ON APRIL 9. RUBEN SET TIME TO COME OUT AT 4:30-5:00. RUBEN CALLED AT 4:50 TO SAY HE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO COME OUT. RUBEN RESCHEDULED TO COME OUT AT 10:30AM , APRIL 10. RUBEN SHOWED UP 10:55{LATE--NO PHONE CALL}. RUBEN DETERMINED IT WAS NOT A JOB HE WOULD DO. HIS ASSESSMENT OF THE WORK WAS CONTRADICTORY TO OTHER PROVIDERS WHO HAVE COME OUT. BOTTOM LINE----I DON'T LIKE PROVIDERS CALLING AT THE LAST MINUTE SAYING THEY CAN'T MAKE THE APPOINTED TIME. I DON'T LIKE PROVIDERS WHO DON'T SHOW UP AT THE RESCHEDULED TIME, SHOWING UP LATE AND NOT BOTHERING TO CALL. IT DOES NOT BOTHER ME RUBEN DID NOT WANT TO BID/ACCEPT THE JOB. HIS RESPONSIVENESS, PUNCTUALITY, AND PROFESSIONALISM { IN MY CASE } RATE AN F. I WISH THE BEST FOR ANYONE WHO HIRES THIS PROVIDER. I, PERSONALLY, CANNOT HIRE A PROVIDER I CANNOT TRUST TO BE PROFESSIONAL, A MANS WORD IS HIS BOND AND I WON'T HIRE ANYONE WHOS WORD HAS NO WORTH.

I am very happy with the way the garage and drive look. It's only been a month, so I cannot speak to how well it all will hold up over time, but have no reason to think there will be a problem. Ruben was very thorough and professional, from the time he provided the estimate through the completion of the job. All I had to do was clear out the garage, and secure the permit from the village (which basically entailed two visits to Village Hall, one to submit the application, the other to pick up the permit). He and his team showed up at 7 am on the designated start day, and the work followed the schedule to a 'T.' I didn't have to be at home, basically just had to leave access to the garage. Ruben took care of everything, including a little hitch when the village pre-pour inspection requested some changes, but we didn't find the inspector's report until after the floor was poured. Ruben went to the village and straightened out the issues, which turned out mainly to be some miscommunication. The work was basically completed in 4 days, with forms removed and the areas along the driveway backfilled. Ruben even cut and refitted some stones in our front walk that had to be removed to put in the concrete forms, then were a little too large to fit back into place. Overall, really excellent work, done in a timely fashion, and at a good price. Since I was not home while the work crew was there, Ruben would give me updates by email each evening. I would recommend this group to anyone needing this sort of concrete work.

Outstanding! Ruben helped find a carpenter who would jack the garage up so the concrete could be replaced without demolishing the garage and replacing it. He and his crew did an outstanding job on putting in a new foundation wall and then replacing the floor of the garage. It looks great and they did a fantastic job doing the job well. Ruben was a pleasure to deal with all the way through this project. He and his crew were organized, efficient, very skilled at their job, and courteous at all times. I would definitely recommend Dave?s Concrete as well as use them in future projects.

Rubin is delightful to work with. On a deadly hot day, he and his crew removed all the old sidewalk and replaced it with a curved, beautiful walkway that has transformed the front of my house. I'm very pleased with the results and highly recommend him.

Ruben was wonderful to deal with. Very informative, professional and communicated well. We had to wait a bit for the weather due to all the rain but I would much rather wait and make sure the job was done right which was what Ruben also wanted. I would definitely use them again. They had the best price and did a fantastic job!

I called Dave Concrete for an estimate and I spoke with Ruben. He was very polite and professional. He came and gave me an estimate. The job wasn't a big job but needed to be done because the sidewalk had separated from the stoop creating an opening for animals to hide. I needed the step added to help my elderly family members who had problems stepping upon the stoop that was too high because of the sidewalk sinking away from the foundation. The cost was a little higher than I thought it would be but Dave Concrete was willing to do the job. They came and broke up the area of concrete that needed to be done to form a step. They poured the concrete, smoothed it out, etc. They roped it off with yellow tape so that nobody would walk on it. We stayed off of it for a few days to make sure it was completely dry. I didn't have any problems with the work that they did. I would hire them again to do other work.

I would truly love to give a review to Dave's Concrete, however, they never called me back. I'm not going to chase someone down to give them work.

They were great, they were very careful with the neighbors yard. They raised the height of the walk to the correct level at all the entrances. We were very satisfied with the end result and the price was the best out of all the estimates we received. The crew was very polite and made sure my Mother-in law could get in and out of the house during the entire process. We would use Dave's again.

I am having them pour the concrete and then another company is doing the stone work.

We were going to buy a used hot tub from friends and needed to have a slab poured to accommodate it. I found Dave's Concrete in our small 4-5 community yellow pages and then happily found it listed here as well. Ruben was very professional both on the phone and in person. He gave me rough estimate over the phone and offered to come out to review the project and submit a formal quote which we did. The day of our appointment his commute time was extended by about 15 minutes due to traffic. He called about 15 minutes before the scheduled time to apologize about running a little late and said he should be at my home within 15 minutes...it was more like 10. We went over the intended plan and he offered helpful input when possible including possible changes to the slab size and future options to add to it as well as equipment choices and the impact on the yard (heavy machines on fragile grass is not a good combination). The formal quote was in my inbox when promised and was extremely competitive. Unfortunately the hot tub had seen enough damage from insects and wildlife to make it not worthwhile so we are not proceeding with the project. If we had, the work would have been done about 3 or so weeks later so a little lead time is necessary.

There are no dislikes. He did a great job and I would highly recommend him. The price beat everyone else I checked.

When we decided to investigate the possibility of updating our front entrance, we identified 3 concrete contractors and 3 hard scape contractors for bids. We were on a fast time line to get the work completed to minimize the impact on the landscaping. Dave's Concrete was one of the concrete contractors contacted for an estimate. He responded promptly and courteously with a competitive bid. Upon receiving all the bids, we selected another contractor, but we would recommend Dave’s to anyone for consideration based on his prompt and courteous response and the competitive bid.

It went very well. Everything was friendly, everything was perfect.

I called for a quote on installation of a basketball net system for our driveway. The sports store suggested I call a local concrete contractor. The person I spoke to at Dave's Concrete was very open & honest - saying that they have not done any except to add on to another concrete project & was able to quote a price, but made the point that they don't typically do them. I appreciate his honesty and that they didn't try to sell their company just to get a job. Seemed like an honest guy.

Used another company and the patio cracked in 7 days, now I have to look at it. Maybe should have used Dave. Nice guy...recommend a local contractor that is recommended by the village.
