Aztec Fence Inc

The owner/estimator came out to evaluate and estimate the work within a day or so of when I initially contacted the company. We discussed options and I decided to replace the fence. He worked up an estimate at that time and I paid the 50% down payment. I immediately started the paperwork to get a fence permit (my town requires one even for a like-for-like replacement). Once that was obtained, the work was scheduled quickly. The 2-man crew came out within 1 week of the estimate, started work around 8:30am or so, and were completed by I believe 1:30pm. They did a good job and were very respectful and professional. There are only a few items that kept this job from being absolutely perfect (and I am very picky), and impacted my 'quality' score. If Angie's list allowed gradations of scores, I would give Quality an A on work, B on materials: 1. There are a few areas between boards that have a slight gap (more than would be needed for expansion/contraction), not a big issue, but slightly diminishes the 'privacy' part of the privacy fence. 2. The middle sections of the fence are just a tiny bit wobbly. I'm sure they used quick-setting concrete, but maybe they should have given the posts a little more time (30 minutes( to set up before starting to build the fencing. (?) The following are more for the person who sources the materials: 3. The wood was very rough, splinters and fibrous 'fluff' on almost all boards. I don't believe this is the responsibility of the building crew. However, I was expecting the boards to at least be rough sanded. I suggest that the estimator/owner have wood samples to show the customers so they know what they are getting. I painted the fence and, due to the rough nature of the boards, it required about 2x what it should have. 4. The decorative caps on the top of the posts are not sized exactly right. They apparently are designed to just cover the posts without overhanding them, however, they do slightly overhang the posts on 2 sides, while not totally covering the posts on 1 side. Get post caps that fit the 4x4's exactly. Or, better yet, get ones that fit over the posts, they are more decorative anyway.

Having a completed, enclosed fence is a wonderful feeling. Now our wild-and-crazy dog can run free without worries of him running away! Before we moved in, we really wanted to replace the missing sections of fencing. We called Aztec, made the appointment and the gentleman was on time and incredibly courteous. He explained the process, how much fencing we'd need and even went through the rest of the yard's fence to note other spots that they could touch up to provide us with a more sound and secure fence. My wife was expecting the work to cost a lot more and I thought it would be a lot less and it fell in the middle. So it all worked out. A couple of little things to know if you're working with Aztec: -They do accept all forms of payment but really prefer check -They'll give you an approximate week/day they'll come out but it's not set in stone due to other jobs and weather -They call the day before they want to come out to do the work (you don't have to be there) -50% due at time of contract signing One thing that seems obvious but wasn't to me that I wish they would've explained better - is how much different the fence would look compared to the older fencing. I understand it ages but it's a stark contrast from new to old. Just knowing would've been less surprising to me. Overall - they were easy to work with and friendly.

Everyone I dealt with was very professional. The owner of the company came to give me an estimate soon after I called. The installers were punctual and professional. They read my platt accurately to insure my fence was on my property line. The fence was installed and they made certain my yard was completely cleaned before they left.

They came out and gave an estimate for 188 feet of aluminum fencing with one gate. I called them back to go over the options and with another gate that price went up to $5200. I pointed out there was a coupon for a free gate from Angie's List but he said it didn't apply as that was only for wooden fence. I showed him that it didn't say that anywhere as the ad only said over 150 feet of fencing. They refused to honor it and I went with someone else who did two gates for $4200.

Bravo! These guys get 2 thumbs up!!! We had a bit of a delay due to rain but it was well worth the wait. The crew got our fence up in one day and it is perfect. Couldn't be happier with the product, the professionalism or the price. We'll definitely recommend Aztec to everyone we know.

From the first day the representative from Aztec Fence came to the house to measure the area to be fenced in we knew had chosen the right company. The representative was very thorough and even gave us his cell phone number in case we had any questions after he had left. He had quoted us a time frame between 2-3 weeks before the fence would be installed and he was exactly correct. The workers came out early in the morning and worked until 6:00 that evening to finish the fence. They did a terrific job. After about a week of having the fence, we noticed that that were some boards that did not go all the way to ground, so we called the representative (on his cell phone) and he had the workers back at our house the next day to fix the boards. This company is WELL worth the money for their product AND their customer service. I would gladly recommend them to anyone looking to have a fence installed. They are professional, prompt, and know how to treat potential and existing customers.

We decided not to go with them as they didn't seem particularly enthusiastic about installing the fence compared to another company in the area. They had similar estimates to the other company we looked at, so we chose to go with the other.

They did nice work and did it quickly. They came out when they said they would, did a nice job and did it very quickly.

The estimate process was prompt. The work was performed on time and in a professional manner. Would definitely use again.

Will have them perform the services when the time comes

The sales rep, Ricardo, showed up right on time and went straight to work on measurements for an accurate quote. He did not ask for other quotes that I might have had, which some reps did. When I saw the price, I was amazed, great price, great work and very expedited. Aztec, gave our family a military discount as well which was awesome! They also took care of calling and scheduling the necessary inspections and they applied for the building permit. Once the permit was approved, it only took 5 days for them to come out and build the fence (other companies had a 3-4 week wait). The work was completed in one day, it was awesome...177 square feet of fence, plus one double gate and one single gate. And we made changes to what we wanted 2 days before the fence was going to be put in and they were very understanding and no huffing and puffing (which is what I was expecting), they didn't even raise the price to our changes even though it was more labor. Very wonderful company, everyone was super professional and they got the job done in record time:)

It went really well. This was the first time that we had used them and it was really good. They did the work right, they did do work on our fence in the past that they were a little messy like they left dirt on the ground and stuff like that and they work on time. They work fast, efficient and clean and they did alright and cost effective.

Aztec put up about 250' of 4' vinyl fence around the backyard perimeter. They obtained the construction permit and installed the fence in one day. The only issue we had was the lock on the gate didn't work and it took multiple phone calls and several weeks before they came out to replace it. We are pleased with the fence.

Called back right away, immediate response on estimate. Friendly and professional. Had to hand dig all of the holes due to utility lines. 216 ft. of fencing, they were done in two days from start to finish. Also cleaned up everything after they were done in the backyard. Very hard working, friendly, professional.

They installed the fence about 2" off the ground to prevent water damage. I would have preferred it to not be any higher than 1" or even lower because of a small dog digging under it &refused getting out. Some spots are even higher off ground due to differences in ground level changes. Otherwise, they did a good job of installation in a timely manner of one day. Also, was installed within 2 weeks from signing contract. Estimator was polite, knowledgable & took his time answering all of our questions.

They did the job within a day. They came out, dug holes, put the fence in, got the holes sealed, put the fence up in one day. So it was very quick.

It could not have gone better. Their quote was well below all other fence companies. They were very prompt, with all the necessary Julie work and permits. The crew was highly professional and did an absolutely incredible job tearing down the old fence and installing the new one - all in one day.

Ricardo was punctual, professional and detailed. The estimate was much better than others received. The quality of the work was very good, and it was performed exactly as agreed upon.

Ernie came out when he said and gave us an estimate. He took care of permits, etc. The crews, they did our neighbors fences also, worked from morning until dark. They were extremely efficient and cleaned up after themselves. They built the fence exactly how we wanted it and we are extremely pleased.

The representative was very kind and contacted me about a quote a couple of days later. by the time i was contacted i had already recieved a very low quote with another company and decided to go with them. Overall i think Aztec is a great company but their responsiveness lacked what the other company did not.

I loved Aztec Fencing, the did great when my fence broke. They made sure that everything was done and made sure my other posts were okay and replaced some of my poppers at no charge. They were very careful about my rose bush, they were very careful of my climbing rose which climbs in my fence. I was very pleased with them, they made sure they didn't run over my flower beds when they brought their truck in here. They even trimmed one of my trees. I have a fire bush next to my deck and they were careful about that. When they had to come into my house, they were respectful of my house and at my request, they didn't touch my cat. They went above and beyond and I am very happy with them.They took all the dirt that they took out, they took out all the mess and they also took the fence that they had to remove, they didn't leave anything behind.

I hired Aztec Fence 4 years ago for my house fencing. This year needing a repair or Partially Replace a Wood Fence Aztec Fence did exactly what they said they would do when they said they would and the finished job looks very good. I would certainly use them again for similar work and would recommend them to my neighbors if they should need any fence repairs.

Ernie came out to give me an estimate. We talked about the problems I had with our old fence posts rotting and breaking. Because my neighborhood requires wood fences, he suggested using metal posts that would get hidden by wood slats. The posts would get set in cement. This added $1000 to the cost of the fence but was the solution we had been looking for. Ernie went to the Village to check on a couple of fence related questions for us. He called later that day with the answers. I did get estimates from 2 other contractors. The prices were all within a couple of hundred dollars. Even though Aztec's price was the best, I selected Aztec because of Ernie. Aztec took care of the Village building permit. Not all the contractors that I talked to offered to do this. The 2-man crew arrived when expected on a very cold and windy day. The job took two days. The first day they took down the old fence, dug the holes for the posts, and set the posts in the cement. The second day they built the fence. They were very friendly and easy to work with. The fence looks very nice. We have received lots of compliments from many neighbors. Our fence is very obvious because we live on a corner. They forgot to send one piece of equipment for one of the gates with the work crew. This piece was installed the next week. This took a little longer than I had hoped but everyone that I talked to at Aztec was very friendly. They reminded me that the fence is under warranty for two years so to be sure to call with any problems.

Aztec Fence is very professional and accommodating. Our back yard is 100' across and about 110' up the sides. Originally I got a quote for a 6' high privacy fence across the back and 4' picket along the sides. After Ernie, from Aztec, gave us a quote, I changed my mind and asked for 4' chain link along the sides. No problem, he adjusted the quote. He had a larger double gate than I asked for in stock, and was willing to upgrade for no charge. On the day of installation, we changed our minds again and asked for one of the gates to get moved; no problem again. Furthermore, we have an old shed I intend to tear down that edges into our neighbor's yard and sits on top of the fence line. Ernie suggested he could fence up to it and put a gate between it and the house. When I tear down the shed, they'll come back and finish the fence. They arrived right on time and finished in one day, despite pouring rain. The had to remove one trunk of a tree that leaned over our property line, but I kind of expected that. They also removed a railroad tie that my wife and I couldn't budge because it had roots growing into it. I received another quote from another company, and they were much higher for less work. Furthermore, the salesman from the other company did not show up on time, missing the second appointment all together. So when Aztec showed up on time (calling once to say Ernie would be fifteen minutes late), I was delighted. Ernie warned me that the price would be more than "the number you have in mind" because of the amount of fence, but it was actually lower than what I expected having done some research.
