They were very fast and came out within 3 days. They gave us tips on what to do in the future to keep the problem from coming back. They were very professional and pleasant.

My wife spotted a rodent in the basement, and she wanted it dealt with RIGHT NOW. She called North Shore Pest Control since they offer same day service. She called in the morning, and Doug arrived exactly as promised that afternoon. He did a thorough search of our house, both inside and outside, to try and determine how the critter got in. He identified the intruder as a vole based on my wife's description and an examination of the droppings. He placed bait in the appropriate places, after determining that we had no pets, and told us it would take about 5 days for the bait to do its thing. Exactly on time, I found the dead vole in the middle of the floor.

After living in my home for 14 years and never having an ant problem, this spring, I had one with a vengeance. Little bitty patio ants.... all over my kitchen counter. I tried caulking, bleach, vinegar, and ant traps. They kept coming back. I was in a bit of a panic because ants on my counter totally freaked me out. I called Bob at North Shore Pest Control. He had previously helped me with bees and wasps. Bob came out immediately and inspected my home and yard. My little varmints were insidious and so tiny that it was impossible to find their nest, but Bob guaranteed his work for the season, so I paid his very reasonable fee. He sprayed my counters, cabinets, floors, and outside perimeter for the ants. The ants made appearances several additional times over the past three months. Each time, Bob courteously and quickly came out and retreated my home. The most recent visit was this morning. I found ants again last night and called him at 8:00 pm. This was a Friday night so I had just planned on leaving a message to ask him to come out on Monday. To my surprise, Bob answered his phone and offered to come out this morning (Saturday). As usual, I apologized for asking him to come out again (I blame the ants, not Bob), and as usual, Bob made me feel like it was no trouble to come out again - that it was his pleasure to make sure the job was done to my satisfaction. Unlike some of the big names in the extermination business, Bob doesn't make you sign any contracts and services his customers with incredible promptness. I will never use any of those big names again. (The one time I did, they seemed to prey on my discomfort and convinced me to sign an expensive one year contract. UGH.) I hope I don't need extermination services again, but if I do, It will be with North Shore Pest Control. Period.
