Description of Work: Installed a raw ceder floor and varnished it. Relitively large living room. He made wood heat vents to match with the floor, that were mediocere. Floor has more gaps between boards than I would have liked. He installed engineered hard wood in my basement. It was ok. He installed carpet on stairs going down to basement, with landing in engineered hard wood. Don't have him install carpet- it wasnt pulled tight enough. I think he excells at unique embellished hardwood work- which I did not have him do. He did all work by himself, so it took longer, but work style and quality was consistent. He was one of they few contractors who didnt seem to have a problem finding wood that matched the wood flooring in the kitchen. Overall he did ok. He wanted to please me.

 + -1 moreI emailed the owner of the company (he impressed me by replying to all of his emails the same day) who agreed to visit my home and prepare an estimate for the large job. He was very professional, prepared a professional estimate and gave me a very good first impression. After some negotiating on the price through email, he was the best total price of all other estimates I received in the area (approximately a dozen). I hired his company to install approximately 1,500 square feet of laminate flooring I bought from a home improvement store. His employees were very professional and punctual and worked throughout three full days putting in my flooring. They made almost no mess inside the home, and they cleaned up after themselves each day and again after the job was finished. They cut all the flooring outside, used their own professional tools and were very responsive to questions in person, over the phone and by email. They were always on time, worked hard and do very high quality work for a fair price.
Description of Work: Fischer Flooring installed laminate (engineered hardwood) flooring throughout my 1,500 sq. ft. home in Elgin, IL. Flooring was installed at a 45-degree angle in my living room, family room, kitchen and three bedrooms by two professional employees over the period of three full days.
