We filled out an online request for services from JC Restoration after our house received major water damage. They immediately called back and came out the next day to assess the damage. They started work the next day on the two rooms they found water damage in (bedroom and living room below it). They pulled out part of the ceiling and put some holes in the walls. They set up a dehumidifier and fans to help dry it out. The coordinator said that we could stay in the house but it would be hot and noisy. It was also dusty (and we covered our belongings ourselves) so we moved to my parents. After about 2 weeks their water meters said there was no water anywhere and they left, billing our insurance about $3600. The problem was that when we got a contractor in to put the house back together he believed that it was still wet behind the walls and in the ceiling. He pulled out small chunks of drywall on walls and ceilings in every room and found it was still wet in the bedroom and living room and in all the other rooms that had not shown damage. The contractor started immediately pulling out most of the walls and ceilings effected and we found mold already growing! So we spent another 2 weeks drying everything out with the walls and ceiling removed before we could start work putting the house back together. The only reason they don't receive an F is they responded immediately and were very nice.

The mitigation process was amazing. They were great. They had to tear everything apart, it was soaking of water. They did a fantastic job on the mitigation. They protected everything real well. They put up plastic with slippers and really protected the areas of the house. They had drying machines. The rebuilding was a bit disordered. It wasn’t as good as the mitigation stage. They were very punctual in the beginning. They call back very quickly, so that was okay. The management was terrible with regard to professionalism. We actually fired the manager on the project because of the difficulties we had. So they took action when they saw there was a weakness. I guess we would give him another shot. I would probably use their services again in the future.

They did a good job. They dried the damaged area, installed the flooring and re-painted the area. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

The quality and speed of their service were great. They were outstanding from beginning to end. I recommend them.

The only issued we had with them is that they were booked. Also they had a higher priced than the other place that we had decided to go with. Other than those issues they were fine all around.

I had a flood in a small 2 bedroom condo from a pipe breaking. The water from the flood was only in the living room and dining room. JC Restoration came out and left a dehumidier, and some strong fans going for a couple of days and charged me around $2500. I am only talking about 3 fans and 1 de-humidifier. This cost was not to replace or repair one thing. Just the fans blowing air around to help my wood floors dry. On top of that they took a small area rug to be cleaned...and lost it. It took me weeks to get it back from them. When they finally did deliver it, they delivered it to my neighbor by mistake. I still had to replace the floors. Replacing the floors only cost me $5000 from another company. It seemed like JC Restoration takes advantage of people when they are in need and gouges them.

Ryan Pilota, Project Superintendent was awesome and make this terrible incident easier to deal with. Workers were great. The cleaning occurred over a period of days but they were very efficient and had to let the machines on for a period of time. JC Restoration is very professional! The insurance company paid for the services so I can't add my two cents on cost.

Originally called out another water mitigation company to perform the work, and had to take them off the job. JC Restoration came in and was extremely professional in taking over the job and working with my insurance companies (Homeowners, Condo, and other unit Homeowners). The price was probably double what was stated, as some of the settlements were between the insurance companies and JC Restoration.

It went very well. Arrived on time and when scheduled. Kept work area relatively clean during work and were pleasant to have in the house.

We opted not to do the work. However, they were very professional and helpful. They gave us advice on how we could get it fixed if we did not opt to hire them.

JC sent their Drying Division manager, Bill Robinson, to our place. We had him meet with the insurance adjuster to go over the damage. Bill took the time to explain the process. He gave us all the information up front and a quote that day. JC s in-house movers packed our things very carefully and took photos of everything. Every item (each piece of furniture and each box) was numbered. We were given a CD with the photos and the numbers in case we needed them to get anything for us from storage. The drying division put a vinyl zip door at the bottom our landing so none of the dust from the work that they were doing would get into the rest of our place. While the drying equipment was loud we were still able to sleep upstairs with minimum disturbance. Edwin Dardon managed the installation work and was very knowledgeable; he was able to answer any questions we had. Plus, we liked the pride that Edwin had in JC. Not often will you have an employee rave about his place of employment and their treatment of their workers. The only issue we had was in regards to billing. Not so much with JC than with our insurance company. It was our understanding that our insurance company would work directly with JC but that was not the case. Since our initial contact was with the drying division they were our point of contact for billing. Kristin Pilota at JC tried to make sure everything was okay with the funding of the project but sometimes didn t return our panicky phone calls. I know she was busy but we just wanted to make sure they got paid. All in all it was a very positive experience although I hope we never have to go through it again (the flooding).

They did a spectacular job. All the repairs were covered by our insurance company and JC worked really well the claims adjuster. Even though I didn't have a lot of out of pocket expenses, knowing the time they spent was well worth the cost. At every step of the of the process, they did really well. The expense for drying the basement was probably around $11,000. The painting and cleaning up was around $10,000.
