Installed radon mitigation system in basement. Pros: 1) reduced overall radon levels by about 75% 2) they did the work in extreme cold temps 3) done in about 4 hours Cons: 1) They arrived late (although they did call to let me know) 2) they did not wear boot covers or put down any floor protector when walking on my carpet 3) they set dirty toolboxes and caulk guns directly on carpet 4) exhaust pipe is too close to roof peak and can be seen from street view of house Overall, good job. I can live with seeing the pipe from the street. I would recommend based on the overall work.

The technicians were very professional...explaining what they were doing and why. I will need to retest as they cant test their own work, obviously. Hopefully all will test clear when the new tests come back.

First I talked to David Backer. Explained that I had a short window to have the system installed because we were closing on our house on June30th and had to have a retest before the closing. David was very helpful he told me he had done other systems in our neighborhood and set up a date that we could work with. On the 19th promptly at 8am Tom Burkett and his helper showed up explained everything to me and got right to work. I had overbooked workers (we also found a crack in the foundation and had to have that repaired as well) and wouldn't it figure that both groups of men had to work under my stairs. Tom and the waterproofing guys all worked together. It took about 4.5 hours to complete and Tom took me around to explain everything they had done. It looked very nice and wasn't in the way and Tom made sure you couldn't see the exit pipe that comes out of the garage roof from the street. I am very happy with their work and we went from a Radon reading of 9 to a .04. The system carries a 5year guarantee.
