They did a fantastic job in replacing the deck boards and top rails on my deck. Brian was very easy to talk with and he explained everything they were doing along the way.

The crew did care.

Brian was excellent to work with making changes to the project as we advanced. Listened carefully, explained changes fully and was flexible allowing for changes to the project when required! I ve already hired him for a new project and have another one he s bidding for my next improvement. Great to work with and has an excellent crew! I d hire him again in a minute. Awesome work!

Brian and his crew did a great job for me, everything I asked them to do was completed in a timely manner. They ran into an unexpected situation while removing a wall in my basement but was able to overcome it, I was very impressed with their knowledge of construction. The price I was quoted was the price I paid. I would not hesitate to hire them again for my home projects. They removed a basement wall, plained four doors that would not shut properly, and installed a new storm door all to my complete satisfaction. Thanks for the great work guys!

Brian and Adam McCully were very professional, kept the area very clean, installed a new screen door and exterior door--beautiful job--made sure we understood the process of removing the old doors and installation of new doors--great customer service--very pleased with the quality of materials and installation--we will definitely call Master Carpenter Contracting again!

I had a terrible a terrible time trying to get someone to install my Front door. When I finally made the call to Master Contracting it was so easy. He said when he would look at the job and came and did just that promptly. My door was installed in short time. The job was done in one day and he did an excellent job. There were some unusual concerns because my house happens to be stone construction. I really appreciate his skill and concern to get it done right. I would certainly use them again if I needed help.

Brian was QUICK to respond. Did work, courteous, researched my bigger problem, and was honest. Brian is a rare gem indeed!!!!

Brian assessed what work needed to done, what materials he would use, when he would do the work. All turned out to be accurate. I was most pleased with his work, dependability. Let the area very clean.

No problems with the workmanship. However, they frequently did not return calls and left for 3 hours in the middle of the project leaving us to sit and wait since we could not close and lock the back door

We had Brian come out to give us an estimate to install three new doors (two exterior doors, one garage entry door). He was great, very friendly and open to our ideas. He gave us numbers and we made the decision to go forward with the project. Then we were notified that Brian would be out of the country for an extended time and Adam would be in charge of the project. We were assured that it would be fine because Adam was the installer anyway, Brian wouldn’t have been on site for the project. From that point on, it went downhill. It was difficult to get responses from Adam and the project was delayed several weeks due to slow responses. When we were finally able to get scheduled, the weather was frigid, highs in the teens. Day one of a two day project started with a delay because the supplies weren't ready at the store. When they arrived, it was discovered that two of the three doors were incorrect (wrong swing) and the hardware for one wasn't what we chose. We went with one of the incorrect swings for the French door as it didn't really matter to us which way it went. When they left for the day, after a total of only 4 hours on site, the large French door has visible gaps where I could see outside. Remember, the highs were in the teens. There was freezing cold air pouring in from 3 of 4 sides of this large door. On day 2, they arrived and finished the work. As a previous review said, the need for a cash payment (or in our case check that was mobile deposited while still on site finishing the job) is a little unnerving as there is little protection when issues happen. They left – presumably completing the project – with no notice to me in spite of me being home in my office. Not a big deal but we have found some serious issues since they left. The doorbell doesn't work and it was fine before the new door was installed. One door had hardware installed so badly that the door cracked on the side where they overtightened the screws. The patio door is not level and is tearing up a seal after less than a month of being installed and it doesn't shut or open with ease. And yes, there are still air leaks on the patio door. I've tried for a week now to get Adam to contact my husband so he can get back out here and fix these issues. So far, after a promise to call on Saturday, it is now Wednesday and we have had no response despite several follow ups. I hesitated to write this review because I still need them to come fix their mistakes but also feel like maybe this is the only way to get a response.

Hi I usually never ever write reviews on no one I just figure let who ever find out themselves but I needed to do it on Brian I called Brian on the 26th of December actually he called me because I went through the internet and he came out because my patio sliding doors decided that morning that they were just going to give up and not close all the way as you all know it's been freezing outside he came out and looked at it and said that it the whole unit needed to be replaced it was old. So we decided on the 27th that he was going to come and fix it and replace the whole sliding doors on my patio that is in my kitchen and that I use everyday to let my dog out. On the 27th when he was supposed to come he's called and said it was below zero it was too cold and they can come on the 28th I didn't have a problem with that because I have feelings too I know it was cold we had put a plastic up to have to block out all the cold from coming in it worked okay better than not having nothing up. On the 28th there was supposed to be here at 10 in the morning and they Brian showed up was waiting for his other team to show up they didn't get in the house and started till 11:30 ish. Overall the work was done very well they took their time even if it was super cold but not as cold as it was on the 27th that came out on the 28th they cleaned up their mess which I was very impressed with and my only gripe or concern was I had to pay cash and nowadays who keeps cash in their house it cost me $932 to have my sliding patio doors replace which I didn't get a top-of-the-line I got it I got the cheapest one actually and just having that amount of money that I had to go get at the bank that made me feel uncomfortable that is the only complaint I had.. I have excellent credit there I don't know why he wanted cash but either way it needed to be done so I went ahead and I paid him in cash. Would I hire them again I don't know the work was good but the cash part is what I don't feel comfortable with I had to ask for a receipt cuz he didn't bring any receipt with him being professional I thought he would have it I had to get up piece of paper and have him write it out in the piece of paper that I paid in full for the work they had done for $932 thank you

Very good expeirince

Horrible experience, they ripped off my old deck, said they would return the next day, did not return, did not call, then bumped me again the following week, stain all over rocks below, on lawn furniture, rushed to finish staining, put on too much, moisture separated the stain and dripped all over new decking material. Very unprofessional

Brian was incredibly professional. He kept me informed regarding what he had done and when he would be able to finish the job. He was prompt and if I had a question, he would respond quickly with the answer. I am anticipating that he can finish our project in the near future.

Brian was very professional, had respect of my home and laid down plastic around the working area and out the front door, very professional and friendly. He knows his stuff! Did a fantastic job on my fireplace mantel. Very knowledgeable. Will hire him again if needed. Most important very trustworthy & honest!
