Ken's Appliance & Refrigeration

I have used this guy in the past and so I called him again when my drier was making a strange noise. He came and disassembled the drier and discovered the problem. He called the next day and said It needed two new parts that cost $25 a and did I really want him to order them. Well, of course i did. Two week later, I caled to see what the status was and he said they were on order. After three weeks, I called to follow up. Yes, they had the parts and would be out to fix it. He showed up the next day announced and put the parts in and said it needed a third part. He said the distributor had the part in stock and he would be backthe next day to install it. At 4 o'clock the next day, he had not showed so I called to see when he would come and he said,"t hey had the part but they would not sell it to me" What!? It was another week before he arrived, again unannouced and fixed the drier. Completely unprofessional! If you are looking for a competent appliance repairmen, don't call this guy

Referred to Ken's by home warranty company (AHS) for dishwasher repair on 6/8/09. From 6/8/09 to 8/19/09, I made 10 phone calls to Ken's to track the status of repair/parts ordered and/or schedule service because they did not once initiate a call to me regarding same. Arranged to be home on 6 occasions for service calls from Ken's between 6/8/09 and 8/19/09. After replacing 3 parts: water valve, panel, and float switch, Ken's still had not properly diagnosed the problem or fixed the dishwasher and informed the home warranty company that the entire unit needed to be replaced. Another appliance company was then contacted by my home warranty company for a second opinion. They arrived on 8/24/09 as scheduled (at my convenience) and within 30 minutes, had repaired a broken wire and fixed the dishwasher. NEVER EVER EVER use Ken's Appliance and Refrigeration for dishwasher repair.
