John arrived after the owner called a day or so early to see what was needed. John gave me a general idea of what labor and possible parts could be. He was very close to the final costs and we added the sink drain situation after the estimate was verbally given to us. John was here about 4+ hours and he worked wonders on our problems. The whirlpool tub has at least increased the action of air to water flow by 50% greater. All other work had us amazed as we have been involved in toilet and sink repairs over the last 45 years in homes we have owned. John made it all look like child's play. He is a gifted and appreciated master serviceman. I highly recommend Birch Plumbing and John. I will have no problem using their services again.

Kevin was punctual and professional. The rapir was completed with no problems. A thorough leak check was perforemd before he left. I would use Birch plumbing in the future.

Our Heating Tech recommended we have a plumber check our gas pipe to make sure we didn't have any blockage. We had gone 5 days without heat in cold weather, so we were desparate for someone to fix our problem. When I called on a Saturday, the owner scheduled a technician to come to our house as soon as Monday morning. Even though the technician couldn't make it at the time that was scheduled, the owner called an explained that the previous job took longer than expected. I appreciated that I was notified. Once the technician arrived, he made sure that our problem was fixed and charged a fair price. We appreciate their professionalism and willingness to accomplish a challenging job. Our furnace is working great now. We will definitely contact Birch Plumbing for our future plumbing/gas piping needs!

.We had a clogged drain in the basement that had been an on going problem. We thought we had addressed the problem years ago with another plumbing company. The leak was never totally corrected so we called Birch Plumbing and John came out and thouroughly corrected the problem. He also provided helpful suggestions for other plumbing projects. .I thought he did a really nice job. It was the owner who came to do it. I thought some of the things I was asking about would cost to much money. He told me some of the things I could do to save money. I was pleased and he came out the same day I called him.

Kevin arrived at the time I was given - loved they could come on a Saturday. He drained and pulled the toliet. Took time to caulk where the collar was lower then the tile. He also took time to shim the toliet where the floor was not level. Put the toliet back in and checked in the basement to make sure there were no leaks. Toliet is now straight and does not move. He was friendly and knowledgeable and quick. Great local company with very afflordable prices. I will call them again for future work.

Steve came out and took a look at the project and wrote up a quote for us before he left. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and told us exactly what brands he used and why. We called two weeks later to ask him to proceed with the job. He planned to come out the next day, but called early in the morning to let us know he had an emergency and rescheduled. On the agreed upon date, Steve showed up on time, with the correct equipment, dismantled the old water softener and water heater, and installed the new equipment within the timeframe he estimated, and for the cost he estimated. He even hauled away all the old equipment. We will definitely call Birch Plumbing again should we need a plumber in the future.

He displayed considerable knowledge and skill. He located outdated parts quickly and made the necwssary repairs.

Contacted Steve when water from our washer in the basement began to back up in the basement floor drain. He was courteous and helpful on the phone. Examined the problem and recommended that the drain be rodded to clear out debris. He then did the work, the obstruction is gone. Steve is obviously an experienced plumber. He came to our house exactly at the time he promised to be there, and on the same day that I called him. Steve is quite personable and communicates well. He is a good listener and patiently answered questions I had about the plumbing in our 80-year-old house. The price for the work done was reasonable, the work and cleanup was excellent. Very pleased and we will definitely call Steve Birch for any future work we need.

Kevin found the toilet to be loose and suspected it might be the source of the leak. It was.

I'd originally called Mr. Birch to see if he could fit me into his schedule when I got my new refrigerator, he said he would. I wasn't available the first time he had an opening, and a few days later my drain backed up. When I left a message saying I had that more urgent job, too, he scheduled me for as soon as possible. They showed up within about 30 minutes of the appointed time, performed all of the services efficiently and quickly, cleaned up after themselves, and were very pleasant and professional. The first time I hired Mr. Birch was when my water main broke in 2003. He came highly recommended by a couple people I know, and was able to get to the job several days before some of the larger companies. So I knew I could trust him to charge a fair price for the job and do it well. When I got the bill this time, I was expecting it to be around $250, but what really surprised me was how low his service call charge is compared to many other plumbers.
