Birch Plumbing

They were wonderful. I called them in the morning letting them know I had a few inches of water in my basement and I thought my subpump was no longer working. They said they would have someone out to my place late afternoon. John showed up early afternoon which was wonderful! I was surprised and happy that they were able to come so quickly. John was knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. I would not hesitate to call them again!

John showed up right when he said he would. My dogs loved him so I knew he was good people. He got right to work and provided exemplary service. He even came down to my basement to look at a pesky whole- house water filtration system that I have also ignored for years. He gave a quote on the spot and then called the office to talk to the owner about a quote for a new reverse osmosis drinking water system. He was so nice, he knew his stuff, and the price was right on. I wish I would have called them sooner.

They are my plumber. It was a perfect service. They were just wonderful. They're an excellent company. They came out that day with no questions asked. It was done on that day. They called them at 8:30 and at 3:30, the job was done.

They were excellent. Other maintenance men refused to do it. This guy did a beautiful and neat job. I dealt with John a couple of times. They charge plumbers rates, so I guess I wasn't unhappy with the price, but the work was good. I am not used to paying the certified plumbers rates, so I wouldn't say it was cheap, but the work was good. The work was very neat. He was very professional, and he was fast in responding. There was a misunderstanding between the 2 plumbers, and the next day when he came, he gave me a $20 discount, and that was nice.

They were very friendly, they were on time and they came out right away. They're very professional and the price is reasonable.

John was extremely courteous. Called eariler in the day to have them come out. Received a time to show. He then called and said he could arrive earlier. Took care of the job and made some excellent suggestions. Will recommend Birch Plumbing.

Initial phone call trying to set up the apt was fine. When trying to settle on a apt time, I first wanted Saturday time, I told him that in order to be there on a weekday it would require taking time off from work. I wanted Saturday morning, but Wed was better for them, 8am. I took the time off from work and had I NOT called after not hearing anything by 845am, I called, and I was pretty much forgotten. I did hear an apology and asked me if Saturday morning (at 9am) was still OK for an apt. I told him it was ok when we talked earlier in the week when I was trying for Saturday so I DIDNT have to take time off work..So, if that was the worst part about this, then I guess it wasn't that bad. It was the way that I was forgotten that really upset me. They did show up on at 910am on that Saturday and got the job done. It is fixed and the price was fair. Will I use them again, possibly. I know that people make mistakes, good thing this wasn't a HUGE plumbing leak that needed immediate attention.

I called Steve at Birch Plumbing on Tuesday and left a message. He returned my call shortly. I let him know what I needed and he was able to quote me a price for a water heater replacement with installation. We proceeded to setup an appointment for Friday that week. Steve and John arrived on time and performed the work in a very friendly professional manner. I had heard many of horror stories from friends and family about plumber contractors that were messy and hard to work with. Not the case with Birch Plumbing. I would highly recommend them and I will call them again in the future when I need a plumber.

John was very efficient and courteous and did an excellent job of cleanup afterwards. A great experience overall. I would definitely use Birch Plumbing again.

John did an excellent job of installing 2 faucets and a shower handle. He also repaired 2 drain lines. We will use them again when need arises.

It was a Saturday afternoon and we had an emergency call to Birch for a pipe leaking from the main in the basement. John was at the home within less than an hour of my call and took care of the leak quickly. This is my second time using Birch Plumbing and I was pleased with the service each time. They were punctual, and reasonable in prices and the jobs were completed to my satisfaction.

Called Birch on Sunday expecting voice mail. Turned into live call and schedule service for Monday. Arrived promptly, determined problem, obtained parts, and repaired. Very seamless. 2nd time I've used Birch and would do so again.

Everything was done on time and professionally.

What was good about it was, they sent someone even though it’s Memorial Day that time but the person they sent did not seem knowledgeable enough. What happened was our tub won’t drain, we thought the stopper was stuck . We told him that but he kept plunging and he said that the vent pipe was not getting enough air. After messing around for half an hour, he checked the stopper when we reminded him again and sure enough, the stopper was stuck, he fixed it and the tub was able to drain. He should have listened in the first place. It also took him almost an hour to replace a faucet. They charged us $150, pricing shoul've been good if the guy had done a good job. I was not happy with the experience. I was impressed with the comments for the owner. I would use them again if the owner himself came.

Everything went great. They were able to come out the day I called, which was important for the clogged drain. The faucet repair and garbage disposal also went well. They did a very professional job and I would highly recommend them!

Excellent service at a very fair price. I called Birch Plumbing to install a water heater, as my old unit was leaking very bad. They found a way to accomodate me on very short notice. I had called in the late AM, and they arrived within a few hours to do the job. Excellent work, professional, courteous, and very communicative with me. They also were more than happy to help me return the old unit to Lowes, as I replaced the leaking unit under warranty. Two days later, I had a Saturday emergency, and I called Birch, and they again showed up within a hour to help me out of a real jam, when I tried to replace the valve in my shower faucet, and the project went horribly wrong. These guys are the best I have ever dealt with, and all my plumbing needs will go to them in the future. Can't recommend them highly enough.

I called the Birch plumbing on Friday and set up the visit for the following Monday. The technician arrived at the exact time the appointment was scheduled. He performed repair of the leaking kitchen faucet in a really short time. He was very courteous and professional. The cost of repair was reasonable. I would recommend the Birch plumbing to everyone who needs plumbing services.

He arrived promptly after call ahead (great for my wife). Troubleshot problem & repaired in 20 minutes.

Our water heater wasn't producing hot water (discovered first thing in the morning). I called a couple of other plumbers but got no answer or return call. After a couple of hours I decided that I would join Angie's List because I have wanted to for a while. I called to see if someone could come out the same day. I got Steve (owner) on the phone and he was very willing to work with me even though they had a busy day. We set up a time and he had me send pictures of the heater so that he could pick up parts that he suspected to be the problem. He showed up promptly, was there for a half hour, and only billed me for a half hour. He talked me through what he thought was going on and after checking it out told me that he just needed to make some adjustments. We also talked about what condition the water heater was in and what we should expect going forward. Very good experience.

On Sunday, our basement kitchen sink was flooding over with food that we had obviously put down the garbage disposal in our upstairs kitchen. It was all over - on the counters, floors and even on the carpet on the other side of the sink. Not good. I had just signed up for Angie's List so I thought I'd give it a try. All of the reviews for Birch Plumbing looked great so my husband gave them a call. Steve answered right away and seemed nice and professional. He said John would be at our house between 8-8:30am the very next morning. What a relief! John arrived at 8:15 and was very pleasant. I showed him around and, although I didn't hover around him and stay in his hair, I asked a LOT of questions about plumbing related and not related to this job. He never got annoyed. Rather, he answered thoroughly. I Immediately felt like I could trust him. After a few attempts, he needed another option so he called Steve so he could bring another tool. He said he would not be charging me for the wait time. Steve arrived and actually stayed to help (no charge!!!). Steve was great as well. He definitely knows plumbing. I asked him a handful of questions as well and, again, I received thorough answers. When the job was done, I told Steve that our shower was leaking in the master bedroom and has been looked at by two other plumbers, both with the final response that we need a new shower. We have been using the basement shower because we dreaded paying thousands. Steve jumped right on it and took a look at the leak. He immediately said you should always start low in price and only spend more if you have to. He said the first step was to see if silicone could do the job. John quickly took the drain out and applied it. We were told to let it dry for a couple days. This morning, we took two showers in there and so far, NO LEAK!!!! We need to check it out for another week, but if this works, Birch Plumbing saved us THOUSANDS!
