AINLEY HEATING & A/C

He came when he said he would be there and he checked out the furnaces and cleaned out the filters. The price was competitive and I have been using them before.

I called him first thing in the morning about a noise my furnace was making when I had the AC running. It was during a very hot and humid spell. He asked what time I would be home from work and said he would be there at 5:30. He told me to turn off my AC so in case it freezes, it will thaw out by the time he gets there. So, on this very hot and humid day, I turned it off and went to work. 5:30 rolls around and of course no show. I call him and he doesn't answer. I finally get a hold of him around 6:15 and he tells me that he is driving around contemplating on whether he wants to go home or continue working and possibly get struck by lightening. (It was storming at this point) He was whining about going in and out of homes and getting wet and then cold being in the air. So when he asked how I was doing, I said I was hot. He had me go down to my furnace with it running so he could listen to the sound it was making. I put my phone on speaker and he told me it sounded like a baring was coming loose. He said not to worry, I could continue to run it and that it wouldn't hurt anything. So I ran it that night. He came out the next day again late with his son. They took it apart and told me it was some part that had to go in behind the blower motor and he seemed to not be happy about installing it as it was a pain. He told me he would order the part and call me. Well, I waited a week and no call. I called him and told him that the sound was getting louder and asked if he had the part, he said yes, I have the part. Asked me when I wanted to do it and I said when can you? He said how about tomorrow after you get home from work. (The sound was so loud it shook the house so I had turned it off that morning.) I only ran it about 1 day since he and his son came out. Needless to say, 5:30 rolls around and yes again, no show. Called him three times, no answer. Called a fourth time and left a not to nice message. The weird thing is he had called me the night before but as usual didn't leave a message so I didn't think it was important. He never to the day of this review has bothered to call back. The bad part about all of this is that the part he said I supposedly needed was only going to cost me $ 100 and when I called another HVAC company (Mike Carleson - awesome guy) he came out to fix it, I needed a whole new squirrel cage as they call it. If I could download a picture of the damage from running it I would. Because Joe told me to run it, it ended up costing me $ 325 instead of $ 100. I would not recommend this guy to my worst enemy. He always would tell me what a good Christian he is. Yeah, I don't think so. Please beware of this guy. He is not a good honest professional.
