I do not recommend this business. Beware of their shady business practices. The tech will tell you how much they charge and they will send you a bill for more. I was quoted 135 an hour on the weekend which I am ok with. The thing I wasn't told was I have to pay for the time it takes for the tech to leave his house, go to the shop then come to my house then work on my problem. The technician Mike did a good job, 15 minutes and he was done. There are plenty of electricians out there I suggest finding a more honest company. Steer clear of United the will bait and switch you.

A contractor for the water utility was working to repair/replace the water mains for the subdivision that I live in. The underground cable locator had marked the area around where the excavating was to be performed on my property. They didn't mark the underground electrical main cable that feeds my house. The cable was damaged and I had a partial power loss to my house. When the cable was repaired and power restored my house filled with smoke. I called the fire department and since ComEd was already here due to the cable being damaged they shut the power off to my house. No fire found but ComEd required that I have an electrician inspect my wiring prior to the power being turned back on. This was Thursday late afternoon and I attempted to contact multiple electrical contractors with most not answering or returning calls. The ones that I talked with wouldn't have anyone available for at least one day. United Electric was suggested by one of the other contractors so I called them. The electrician was on his way home but he came to check my problem out. He was very professional and inspected and located a surge suppressor and outlet that had burned up due to the cable fault caused by the digging in the yard. After finishing repair and inspection of my home electrical system he contacted ComEd and my power was turned back on. He stayed around for a while to ensure everything was okay. I highly recommend them for electrical installation and repair.
