TJ Plumbing And Drain

My toilet was old, the only toilet in my house and completely quit working. It was not amendable to home repair. I bought a toilet and required installation that same day. I was given the number of Tony from TJ Plumbing & Remodeling in North Riverside, IL. I spoke with him and he said he would provide one of his guys that day or at the latest the following morning. He sent out Rick the same day, who removed the broken toilet and efficiently installed the new one. He carried the broken toilet out to the alley for me. The whole experience went smoothly. Rick was personable and tolerated my exuberant dog.

We had two separate problems in our basement. I chose this company because it was small and local and I felt it would have a personal touch. When I called, someone took my information and set up a timely visit. I explained both problems and the relative urgency and severity of the second saying things like "We need the part of the wall taken away so you can see behind it" and "anything that needs to be removed should be taken away". The plumber came out on time this morning, routed the back drain, checked the catch basin to see if it needed emptying (it didn't) and then announced to my husband that it was a "foundation" problem. Charged a surprisingly high amount and left. Never even entered the home. My husband and I went back there tonight to investigate for ourselves and the problem is a leaking sink. We are contacting the company that put in the sink and left it leaking. I wouldn't hire T J Plumbing again.

Tony gave accurate estimates for both jobs and did the work promptly and neatly. Both jobs passed the Berwyn inspections first time, and we have had no problems since. The house now smells great, and the water pressure is at it's max. We will use TJ for future jobs - Tony was great to deal with.

They were really good. They came on time and provided the solution I was looking for. The price was also reasonable. They did a good job, left, and didn't leave a mess. They were also prompt.

After several failed attempts to get written quotes from other plumbers, we learned of Tony through our Electrician, David Pangallo of Wired Perfection (via Angie's List). Tony responded promptly and gave us a detailed quote the next day. His price was a little higher than verbal pricing from other contractors, but his quote was very thorough and professional. He was extremely helpful with the permit process, material selection and scope of work needed and did exactly what he promised and completed all the work in a very timely and professional manner. Both he and David are two of the best contractors I've ever worked with. We used them both again for another phase of the job which we had not originally planned for and they both performed equally well the second time. Both these contractors really know their stuff.
