Description of Work: I bought an Angie's Big Deal for 3 hours of grout repair and checking. Two guys were assigned to the task (1.5 hrs each). We were really happy with the work around the 2nd bath tub, but the work around the master bath shower had loosened several tiles, so the shower was unusable. JT had to come out the next day to fix the repair. He also gave us some advice on what the future may hold for the master bathroom.

Description of Work: They did extensive caulking in our townhome. Around sink and counters in kitchen and bathrooms, around tub, some grout on our ceramic floor in the foyer. Two men worked on it and they did not waste one minute and they cleaned up everything perfectly. What I especially appreciated was that they did a walk-through right after they arrived and discussed their recommendations regarding "how far to take" the caulking. We knew exactly what they were going to do and they had us inspect everything before they left to make sure it was satisfactory. It made a huge difference in our place and we are extremely please with the work!

Description of Work: Grouted bathroom floor and caulked kitchen countertops near blacksplash and bathroom countertops. They are yours for the time you have them in your house, so keep them busy ! They work with you so you get it the way you want it. The grout work in the bathroom looks great. They spot grouted cracked grout around the tile floors, so they had to match the existing good grout color - theirs came out a little lighter shade. They did good quality work

Hello, We appreciate your business! Made a couple trips to look at the problem area, and a structure issue below that was causing the grout to crack. Customer decided to only repair grout area to make things better for now. Scheduled an appropriate time and was able to come early due to a schedule change. Lucky for us, the customer was ready and available. Grout color was slightly lighter, (not easy with old versus new grout repairs) but overall looked good. We did the areas discussed, and overall the job went very good. I do appreciate your flexibility and kind personality. Easy to discuss and work with you. Thanks much, JT

Description of Work: The deal I paid for was for so many hours of drywall repair. Two workers arrived a couple of hours earlier than expected. Because there were 2, the hours were cut in 1/2, which was fine, as long as the work got done! |Overall, went well, but they needed a lot of direction! A small crack repair on the ceiling turned from a molehill into a mountain! Instead of filling in with some plaster to be painted, a large section was cut out, making a lot more work for me in the end!

Hi, Thank you for your business! Scheduling is not always perfect. Its difficult to figure and arrival or exact completion time. Due to previous job, unexpected additional work, lack of proper description, large area, dry time, etc. Sometimes jobs are shorter than expected or require added trips. We try to assess exactly what is needed for each job, area, and time based on each individual job. We apologize for any inconvenience as we know this is not always the easiest situation for the customer. We always want to be as considerate of everyone's time as we can, and we appreciate good communication. Best Regards, JT

Description of Work: Two workers arrived promptly. They caulked around kitchen counter, caulked around bathtub, power washed grout on floor and put new grout on a few loose tiles in second bathroom. I was hoping I could get the whole floor in very small bathroom done but was told I needed a new subfloor, which I kind of knew. I'm in contact with them to have the owner come and give me an estimate on what a new floor and fixing a loose sink will cost.

Description of Work: The job was to restore bathroom floor and bath tile and redo the grout in tub area. |The refurbishing of floor tiles was not done very well, several spots missed. Tub area was completed but the enamel on tub was damaged/nicked in the process leaving a blemish. |This was a 'fill-in' job for these guys during the Winter months and it showed. This was a small job and did not require two guys. I think one guy would have been able to do a better job for less money.

Description of Work: I purchased the special for 4 hours of grout repair.. They arrived 1 hour before the time they were suppose to be there.. The deal was for 4 hours of repair for $100. |The tech informed me that because there was 2 techs it would be 2 hours for the price I paid..and$100.00 per hour for any time over this 2 hours.. I asked them to give me an estimate for another small job I was thinking of having done at a later date....The 2 men seemed to me to stretch out the work so it was longer than the 2 hours.. Then charged me an additional$100.. For the extra 35 minutes even though part of the time was them doing the estimate..And the real kicker was the grout repair was out before 1 week was up! | | | |

Hello, This was not a ceramic tile category. (Remove member name) bought a caulk coupon, and was rather difficult to schedule with. He explained working out of town that he could only be available on a certain Saturday which we did accommodate. The caulk work was in fact prep work for a painter, and he requested us to caulk several locations of baseboard trim. This is not what the coupon was for, but we did complete several areas as discussed with owner. He also requested that I install an electrical box on the exterior to relocate a low voltage lighting supply that was incorrectly wired. I agreed to install and repair wiring and a GFIC location for power to the low voltage. After completion, I checked that all was working and correct. 1 month later I received an email that I needed to check circuit because it was not working. I replied, to ask if he had reset the GFIC or checked the breaker power, because all worked properly. He said he didn't know and expected my work to be properly done and that I needed to come that week to repair. I explained to him that I do stand by my work, but if there was an additional issue not caused by my fault, there would be a service charge for coming out. Upon coming out, and checking GFIC outlet circuit and lighting all was working properly, Showing his wife, we discovered that there was a timer issue set by the owner improperly. We are not responsible for mal-adjusted settings that we did not have anything to do with. He was charged a service call fee for travel and time which was adjusted lower to accommodate, and didn't feel responsible to pay service call. If he would have checked closer, there would have been no reason for us to go there and re-check work and circuit that was properly working. Thanks for reading, JT

Description of Work: The work was OK but the way it was offered cost me $150 more. The deal was offered at $115 for 4 hours of handyman services. The company was kind enough to agree to a date a week later but requested that I accept 2 men for 2 hours together. I agreed to that but when they came and I showed them what I wanted to have done, they immediately announced they would have to be paid another $100 so they would be able to stay for 3 hours and finish the work--since some plastering had to be done before the touch up paint was applied. There really wasn't that much work to do but, given that they would only stay for 2 hours and not 4, I had to pay extra. Moreover, they seemed like they had never worked in a highrise and were totally unprepared to do so and almost incapable of loading their work tools onto a movable luggage cart at the side entrance of the building, of which they were able to drive their truck directly beside. Essentially, they were required to load their tools on a cart and walk about 4 feet from the building's side door to its elevator. Once up on the 23rd floor, the apartment is located no more than 4 feet from the elevator's door. Unfortunately, the building was doing a renovation of its interior parking area and the men were obliged to park their truck around the block on Clark Street, which actually has quite a bit of parking. They fussed about having to park around the corner. I, too, had to park around the corner. In any case, I had purchased the paint and once they got into the apartment, I showed them the few areas I wanted to have touched up. They then told me I would have to pay an extra $100, because there would not be enough time for the plaster to dry in one area before repainting. I said OK and would be back in 2.5 hours (I had agreed to pay for an extra hour.) I called a half hour before I was due to arrive and they said they were finishing up. I was supposed to arrive at 12:30 but arrived at 12:40 and one of the workers had already left. The other informed me he was going to charge me an additional $100--so $200 additional--but I said I was only 10 minutes late; he agreed to charge only $50 more. I remarked that one of the walls wasn't done well but he said the other worker had already left. They still owed me for about 20 minutes but I let it go. The apartment wasn't left totally clean and I knew I had to straighten it up. I wrote a check for $150 and he left. I was exhausted from helping them load up, holding open doors, etc., and was trying to clean up when they called me and told me I hadn't paid for their parking. I went down to their truck at the side entrance of the building and gave them about $7 or $8 for parking. The workers were nice enough and they did an OK job--I haven't had a chance to get back to examine it since that day--but it could have worked out a lot better. If I had had one (1) man for 4 hours, it could have worked out better, certainly cheaper. The advertised $115 seems like it is just an opening offer. Next time, I will be a lot more cautious in agreeing to the terms.

Hello, Thank you for your business and post. We generally always send a two man crew out for repairs and painting. We always ask about the parking situation, and do not include parking and fees. These coupons are based on time, and we can not afford to search for available parking. Bringing equipment in and out of high rise buildings, waiting for access and elevators, all takes additional time, therefore costs more. Having one person would only lengthen that process more. We can not be responsible for building construction, elevator access, or other delays. That is the responsibility of the owner to arrange prior to job scheduling to ensure a smoother process for repairs and cost. Respectfully, JT
