J T General Contracting

Excellent service. Scheduled date and time for work through emails. I provided as clear a description of work as possible. Two men arrived from J.T. General Contracting at the appointed date and time. We discussed the amount of work that could be completed in the time I had purchased. All was done quickly and neatly. Can't believe how nice the repair looks. Sorry I didn't have it done sooner. Will be calling J.T. General Contracting again for more patch work. I'll keep watching Angie's List to see if J.T. General Contracting has anymore specials.

We purchased 2 coupons of $115 each to paint 3 very small rooms in a townhouse - assuming that if they were experienced professionals and fair, they would be done in 4 hours with 2 men - 1 for each coupon and I would incur no extra charge. 3 men arrived - and we were told that we would have 3 hours of time, and after that it would be $150 per hour. We were billed for 6 hours, for the 5x5 mudroom. The kitchen - 5 hours The dining room - 5 hours In addition to the coupon cost of $230, we paid $375 putting us at $605. Its anybody's guess if this was a ripoff.

It went great! He did plaster repair in the ceiling in the guest room and the wall in the living room. He came back to addanother layer of plaster. His cleanup process was great. He took caution if there was lead paint and took other precautions which was great because of my children.

I purchased Angies List deal $99 for 4 Hours of Drywall/Plaster Repair or One Room of Paint. They did some taping and mudding in the garage. The taping and mudding that was in there was in bad shape, and they had to remove old tape from the ceiling and walls and put new tape and mud down. I wound up spending another $480 for extra work they did that day. The work I wanted done isn't complete, they did want to come back and do more work on it, I didn't have them come back to do more work because it was expensive. I don't think I realized how much work needed to be done, or how much it was really going to cost to get the walls in the garage to look like the interior walls in my home.

Great! One time. Friendly and professional. Matched the swirls of the existing plaster beautifully. Clean. Two guys show up so they get the job done fast.

My experience was fine. They were on time and they were easy to schedule with. They cleaned up well after themselves. There were two guys here and for two hours.

Overall ok but not worth buying the coupon ahead of time-no savings-quote too high I've taught elementary and high school for the past 25 years. I know the difference between a middle school student and a college student.

Two guys arrived on time. After inspecting my bathroom, they explained that if the job required more time than what was stated in the deal, it would cost $50 dollars for each guy every hour over. I cringed at first, but both my shower and tub needed to be re-caulked. Also, the owner made me aware of this on my initial contact when scheduling the service. The work on my shower and tub took longer than the alloted time on the deal. I paid an additional $100 over the deal. It was well worth it. They did an amazing job digging out the old caulk. I would highly recommend this service, but with some suggestions to the owner. 1) The workers should have been supplied with shoes covers. I had them remove their shoes before entering. 2) One of the workers had stomach problems. He used my toilet twice doing #2. Not cool. That should be taken care of before you get to a person's home. If you have old black moldy caulk that needs to be removed, this company does a great job.

They did a good job. The deal was for 2 guys and for 2 hours each. I was fine with that, but then they took 2 hours and 40 minutes together, and they wanted $100 for that extra time. Other than that, they were good. Around the end, it was about 1 hour and 50 minutes, it seemed like they were done, but they may have added extra steps so it went over. To be fair, though, they told me ahead of time that they might charge that amount for overtime. They just didn’t give me a notice that they’d need to do overtime until all of a sudden.

The service went well. I paid additional to have them re do the entire bathroom. I thought the additional fee was very reasonable. The technicians did a great job, were timely and very honest. I had no issues with scheduling. We have also hired them to do the kitchen, as well.

They were punctual and professional. They matched the color fairly well, and the grout repair was great.

On the day of the repair, two techs showed up, one for each room. We were very pleased with the work around the tub, but the work around the shower ended up loosening several tiles and the shower was not usable. JT himself had to come out the next day to fix the repair. He also gave us some advice about what to do next with the master shower.

The two man crew was prompt, professional, and personable. Drywall on the kitchen ceiling was damaged from a shower leak above. The crew repaired the area. They carefully draped a large area of the kitchen with plastic and were extremely neat. They scraped and cut out the damaged area, plastered, and installed extra screws to increase stability, followed by more plastering and sanding. The area which was repaired blends flawlessly with the surrounding ceiling. I am extremely pleased with the result. The provider will be returning next week to paint the entirety of the ceiling. I had been advised by the owner of the company prior to the job that they would be unable to paint the same day as the repair, as the plaster would need to dry. The coupon was for four man hours/two hours for two men. I was advised in advance that if the repair went over two hours there would be an additional "overtime" charge of $50 per man, to which I agreed. The job did go over. While I agreed to the extra charge, the additional 1/2 hour spent cost the same as the initial two hours, which is why I rated the cost as a "B." I am extremely pleased with this contractor, and am planning to utilize them for additional work in the future. This is a full service contractor, not just paining and drywall. They also perform tile work, including grout repair, and general carpentry work. I highly recommend this contractor.

There were able to come out quickly and they were punctual. There were additional charges for the sink. They did a very good job with the work and we would have them come back.

I called to see if could schedule me in for tight schedule and received a call back almost immediately and was scheduled very quickly. (I appreciated this very much since still waiting to hear from another member that I called and emailed a week ago.) The day of service, I got a call to let they know they were on their way. Richard and Chuck were very professional. They protected my belonging and made sure all was clean before they left. They worked steadily to complete a large job in the time frame I had allotted. I very happy with the work and would use again.

Overall, I was satisfied with the work they performed. I bought the $99 deal for 2 hours of 2 workers. They estimated that it would take an hour longer and it did. They arrived a little later than expected(said 12noon, and came at 1:30), but overall performed the job in the allotted timeframe. I was happy with them and would use them again.

Date/time was arranged in advance - They came as scheduled. Two people came to do the job. They reviewed work requested and explained that it would take more time than the deal allowed. They explained the cost to do additional work. I had them do double the original deal time. They worked hard the whole time and were very professional. Quality of work was good, clean up was good, explanation of progress helped judge total time needed. Overall, a very good experience.

Workers were available earlier than scheduled and I was very pleased at the opportunity to have the works done early. They were straightforward, professional, and very neat. The wall looks terrific. I took their advice and primed, then painted and the wall looks as good as new. I would use them again and would highly recommend them.

Their work was good and professional. I added a few more things as they went along including part of a shower stall so they ended up charging me for the overtime. I thought that was fair. Their work was very good. They changed the color of the caulking to suit each project. All of the projects ended with a very smooth line.

They returned my call right away and were punctual. The owner came out first to inspect the scope of the job. They took out old grout and regrouted in my kitchen and sealed it. It is holding very well. They used grout I already had from when I originally redid the kitchen. We had replaced a microwave oven that was a different size than the previous one so there was a space that was missing tile. They went out of their way to help me replace the tile and grout under the microwave. The two technicians that came out were very professional and did a nice job.

It wasn't disclosed to me that I had to pay for my own caulk, an extra $10! I also had to sign a disclaimer saying but I would be responsible for additional man hours over the three hours that I purchased. Two men equaled 1 1/2 hours. Fortunately, it didn't go over that time; however, we're talking of small bathtub/shower combo. They also replaced the caulk on my bathroom sink. They did good work.

Arrived on time. had tarps to walk on (it was raining). explained what he could do in time purchased (big deal) and what it would cost for extra work and what the incidentals would cost. All went as agreed upon. He took measurements for bid for painting estimate. Profession, left area in clean condition.

Had to pay for extra hours to paint a 9x10 kitchen with back splash. Ceiling not included

End result was better than I had anticipated. Not something I could have done as well in any amount of time. Scheduling was a little tricky, but that should be expected when you've got a small job like ours. I would use them again w/out hesitation. First time using one of the Angie Deals, but it turned out great.
