Fine, his estimate to do the job was too high.

This is my first Angie's List project and I am very pleased. Purchased four hours of labor for $115.00. I was concerned that there would be add-ons to up the price. Instead, Richard and Chuck of J.T. Contractors did the job in the allotted time and their work was excellent. The damaged materials were removed and they cleaned up so there was no evidence of a construction job in our house. These guys were great and very professional. Will contact JT again.

I spoke with him and we discussed the work I needed to have done and we decided it was not a good fit. He responded very quickly and was very professional.

It went well, they were responsive and it was easy to get on their schedule. They were on time for the appointment and worked quickly and professionally. I would use them again in the future.

It was great. Jim was very upfront and honest about the quality of work the previous contractor provided. He offered realistic options and came through on them. The work was completed on time and on budget. Plus it looks amazing.

Well, the guys were very nice but they didn't have a particular expertise in caulking. The job took much longer than the "deal", which I expected and cost a total of $300. The caulk is holding up fine, but it does not look professional at all - kind of sloppy (I could've done it that way myself). Note that the guys were polite and conscientious and tried their best - they just weren't that skilled at caulking.

The provider missed the appointment. My husband and I brought the paint and moved all the furniture to another room and we are sitting there waiting and I messaged him asking where he was since we scheduled for 9am and the appointment was verified. He then replied and said that I did not respond and he thought it was not a good time and he needed additional dates.

It was a very good experience. I would highly recommend using this company.

JT's contacted me right after the purchase of the deal. They were very patient and accommodating in trying to arrange a day to perform the work. JT's send two painters for 2 hours rather than one for 4 hours. The guys arrived and got straight to work. They got all the walls I needed painted (3) in the time allotted. They did offer a reasonable rate if I wanted more work done that could be done in the two hours, but it was not needed. Walls look great and the wife is happy. I will definitely call them for future painting or wall repair projects.

The two contractors were very professional and courteous; they replaced 9' of seam tape which had swelled from an old roof leak, and applied and sanded three coats of compound. Looks far better than I could have managed myself and they completed it within the 2 hour special deal time frame (4 man hours). If you have reasonable expectations of the time required to perform quality drywall work, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

The service went fair. The staff caulked 1 tub and 1 standing shower. It was very difficult to schedule with the company and get in contact with them. One technician was great but the other technician had a bad attitude and was trying to add to the bill. It seemed to me like he was purposely moving slowly to take up all of the time I purchased to charge additional fee for extra time. They ended up completing the job within the 4 hour time frame.

James was great to work with. He answered multiple questions. Originally, I wanted the original tile floor re-grouted, but it turned out the tile was all loose and could not simply be re-grouted. James gave me a price on the spot to remove all the tile and lay down new tile. I did sign a contract and the workers started. They were able to remove the existing floor quickly. Because some tenants would be moving in the next day, it was necessary to postpone the installation on the new tile. James was willing to work with me in picking another date. Once the tenants moved in, it turned out there were several other costly repairs needed to the home. James allowed me to cancel the contract and ony chanrged me for the work performed. I was very greatful. Having an honest contracter is priceless. I recommend this guy.

I made an appointment fro Jim to come out on August 18 after seeing his offer for drywall work on Angie's List. He didn't show up nor did he phone to cancel- just left me hanging. I called him and left a nice message, asking if something had come up. He returned that call and told me he had been very busy. Okay, I rescheduled. He did show up forth e second appointment. I showed him my job. He told me he was a general contractor so I showed him other work I needed done. Long story short- I never heard from him again. He never sent me an estimate for the drywall or the other work. Pretty rude. He may be busy, but my time is valuable, too.

I purchased the Big Deal which was 1 worker for 4 hours for $115 (or 2 workers for 2 hours). JT called and accomodated my morning request on an agreed upon day. Two workers showed up on time with drywall. They took a total of 4 hours, so I paid for the two extra hours. They were on time with their initial guess of how long it would take and they did a nice job. I have referred them to a neighbor and I would use them again. There were two small items that annoyed me but wouldn't keep me from using them again, I would just ask the right questions next time. 1-they had no insulation, so I went to Home Depot to purchase a roll. They said they didn't carry it on the truck and my request did not ask for it. I thought the description of the coupon said it was part of the job, but I guess I was wrong. Nonetheless, once I got the roll, they put it in and they took the rest with them so I didn't have to deal with it. 2 -I live in the city on a residential street. Parking is tough at times. They therefore had to park at a meter. They charged me for parking. I find parking to be part of the deal with doing city business, but the worker gave me a line about how this money came out of his pocket and he wasn't reimbursed for it, so I paid him the $7.00 for this meter time. Since then, I've asked about service provider's policies about parking. It's just an awkward converstaion to have.

They came and prepared a estimate and we agreed up on the price, which was vary fair, and a start date. They arrived as was scheduled and came in and knocked out the work in a professional manner and cleaned up. I was happy with the work and would strongly recommend them for any work.

The company completed the work in a timely manner. I had the opportunity to speak with the owner on the phone and I was very happy with him. His crew worked h****** my shower for hours and we got our money's worth. My wife and I are very satisfied.

It started out really good. They did the job. I expected them to be able to finish the job within the time frame because it was a 4 hour Big Deal. It took them an additional 2 hours to paint the bedroom and they had sent out two guys for the job. There was an additional fees for that. There was a hole in the wall that we didn't specifically say to fix before painting, but I've never hired a painter that paints around a hole in the wall before. If they had just said "Do you want us to fix the hole?" we would have said yes. So either they were inexperienced or trying to cut corners. I wish I could have been able to enter the room while they were working, but I couldn't because the door was blocked due to the painting.

The 2 workers arrived a couple of minutes before the appt time to explain what they would do and see what had to be done. Their work was BEAUTIFUL-- better than I expected.

He said that the job was going to be more then the Big Deal price as well as he said that he was not going to come out to see the type of work that was needed to be done.

After I purchased the deal package, I wanted them out asap. However, I quickly realized I had a bigger problem in the shower and needed to delay the date of service. They were very accommodating in cancelling the appointment I had scheduled. When I was ready to go about three weeks later, they were able to schedule within two days. Since I'm pretty particular about color and such, we tried a sample of the almond caulk on a test piece of grout (I provided grout sample). As I anticipated, it was not satisfactory, so we went with clear. They used silicone caulk, which won't mildew. The only ding was that they arrived a couple of hours after our original appointment time. They did call to let me know they would be detained. They were very clear about what was being done and what specifically the deal package contained: 4 hours of work, with two men present equals two hours elapsed time.

This is the second time I used JT and again very happy with their service. Chuck and Richard did an excellent job!! I am very happy and will definitely use JT again!! Pete

The service went fine. There were 2 parts to the service. Two men came out for the service and completed the job in about in about 2 hours. Part of the service did not go as well. They caulked and grouted the bathroom for us. They did a beautiful job with the caulking, but the grout came off after I started to hose it down. The owner did call me to try to rectify the issue, but I chose not to have him do that. He also gave us a quote for additional services done, but I did not go through with that either. I did pay an additional fee because the service took longer than the time I had purchased. I had no problem contacting the company or scheduling their service.
