OLD WORLD BRICK PAVING

The salesperson, Scott, was great. He came out to our home several times at our request to walk through the process and design. The install team showed up on time. Project was on schedule. Our patio, fire pit and seating wall turned out amazing. We were very pleased with the service from OWBP and would recommend them.

We are thoroughly impressed with the finished product. From the design phase through construction, everything was completed in a professional and courteous manner. Contractors removed the old concrete slab quickly and installed/graded the new patio quickly. We would recommend Old World Brick Paving and use them again.

The entire process with Old World Brick Paving was terrific! From the estimate, to scheduling, to payment and completion of the work, we were extremely pleased with the service and the product. We will use this company again the next time we enhance paving in our home.

The previous patio was 15 years old and had settled horribly around a foundation we had put in (and had never put to use) for a possible screened in porch. We had other estimates which were several thousand dollars cheaper- but each of those quotes included re-using the old pavers and trying to remove some of the existing foundation under the patio. Dave with Old World Brick Paving suggested pouring a concrete pad and setting new pavers on top for the strongest patio (which hopefully won't sink as the previous one did). He did not recommend re-using the old pavers as they were not made anymore and would be hard to find a match if needed. (Something the other companies did not tell us.) The crew was very polite and professional. The old pavers were removed and disposed of. The new patio was installed quickly (2 days for removal of the old and laying the new patio) and it looks fantastic. We have had a lot of compliments on it. We went with Unilock Beacon Hil Bavarian Blend with a Holland stone premier Charcoal border. The crew was able to make a small adjustment on the day of installation without any issues. We were worried about how the step from the house to the patio was going to turn out but they assured us it would turn out great and it did. This was not a cheap expenditure, but we are glad we went with Old World Brick Paving getting new pavers with a concrete pad underneath. It seemed to make the most sense to us for functionality, appearance and durability.

We received estimates from 4 different companies and we narrowed down to two, old world brick paving and another company, both who were the most knowledgable and professional. Greg came out to give us an estimate on removal of our old deck and patio and building a new patio. He called to say he was running late and if we could change time which we appreciated. He was professional and very funny. He has a great personality. We felt very comfortable with him. He showed us samples of the companies work and explain to us the brick paving process and why their company stands out. Was very impressed with the sample of work we saw. Greg told us we would receive a estimate within a few days, which we did. The only issue we had is that they did not give us a sketch of patio design or offer 3D rendering. The estimate was over our budget so we decided to go with another paver company. Even though we did not use old world brick paving, We would definitely recommend them and if we needed services in future We would contact them again.

The crew arrived on time and worked diligently through the entire process. They were courteous and friendly and were more than happy to relay our front porch when there was a misunderstanding about the pattern we requested. The work was top-notch and the entire project went smoothly. An excellent company!

It looks GORGEOUS! They were very easy to work with. They got back to us quickly and regularly. As soon as we were able to get the permit, we were able to schedule within 3 days. They are very hard workers and I still can't believe the finished product. I would give them an A+ if I could!

Frank and his crew were fantastic. Very customer service oriented, practical, experienced tradesman and professional. We received many quotes from landscaping companies and it became very clear that Old World knew hardscaping better in terms materials, approach and overall scope of work. I would recommend them to other people.

Old World Brick was a great company to work with. Greg, their estimator came out to measure and provide a solid estimate (it only changed due to additional requests from us). He was very helpful in explaining how cost is determined: the cost of materials and cost of labor. We were able to give a budget we wanted to stay within and he was able to work with us. They weren't the cheapest nor the most expensive company we received estimates from (we had about 5 estimates). However, they did provide the BEST quality of work, materials, and guarantees of any of the other companies we had considered. It was a really simple decision to choose them. After we decided to use Old World for our patio, they gave us an approximate time window for when our job would begin. They highly advised we apply for our permits from the village straight away. They were able to start our job three weeks earlier than estimated due to us having all our paperwork in order! Once they began, the got the job done in about 5 working days with a few rain delay days in-between. The first day of work, the owner of the company, Frank, came out to see the job off. Both Frank and Greg were available to answer all of our questions, and did so very timely. They were really thankful for our business and wanted to make sure we were satisfied with job throughout the entire process. We are DEFINITELY going to use them again for other paving projects we want to have done in the future. This is an A+ company, you'll be in good hands!

Old World Brick did a great job on the demo and construction of the new patio and deck. Frank, the owner, was transparent and thorough in his proposal. I had all the confidence in them going into the project. They were easy to work with on both parts of the project.(patio/deck) They take a lot of pride in their work and made sure I was completely satisfied with all facets of the the project. I have received numerous compliments and inquiries from friends and neighbors. I would definitely recommend their services.

Project started out pretty shaky before the build, but in the end the final product was done with quality workmanship and we are very happy with the outcome. This was a pretty large project and the distance needed to haul the materials from the street to the project site was quite a way. Old World took extreme measures to ensure our yard wasn't destroyed during the build. We would recommend their work.

we had a lot of paver repair to be done. All work was done promptly and we have had no problems since. They were very nice people to work with. I would recommend them

Old World was very responsive, starting from the bidding process to job completion. They helped to repair several areas that settled over time (which was performed by a different, unknown contractor). Only complaint is that I received a call on a Wed. to say the crew would be out to start the next day... Thursday came and went and no one showed. Friday no one showed... and only after I checked on the status did I find out that they'd be here on Monday. Otherwise, the crew was punctual and did a great job. Very happy with the workmanship and their price was more or less in line with other quotes we received. I haven't gotten the final bill yet but I'm not expecting any surprises. Would recommend them for any large or small jobs.

I could not have been any happier. From the very beginning when Dave came out to meet with us, he was friendly and explained everything very clealy and took plenty of time to answer all of our questions. Then this company took control over submiiting for and obtaining the village permits. They were unbelievably knowledgable, helpful and patient. Finally, the work product was the most amazing thing. The time and effort to get it right was terrific. These guys are great craftsmen. What a wonderful outdoor area they creayted for my Mom. I will hire them again and refer them out to everyone.

A wonderful experience! It was a very smooth experience. The guys worked so hard. The patio is perfect, not one negative about this company. They were very helpful in the sales office and very professional, hard working and polite men working for this company. I would definitely recommend this company to everyone!! Job well done!!

I read the "F" review on Angie's but decided since it's "family run" & most were "A's," that I would still give it a try because often I find reviews to be subjective. My experience was extremely disappointing. My name will not be on record because the woman who answered my call didn't even bother to ask. I only got so far as inquiring about possible service & being told "we're not accepting new work. Sorry about that." I hope your backlog is going to keep you in business since you clearly don't want anymore.

The patio looks good. Our rep, Dave Gibbs, was very responsive.

The provider doesn't want to accept new paver patio work because they were behind in current jobs.

All in all the total project went well. Salesperson Dave Gibson did a good job on explaining the processes to be done and prepared me a fair priced written bid. Office person Taz helped coordinate the days and tasks to be done, coordinating in my schedule. Craftsman Jaime and Miguel were polite and professional. They did the promised project as proposed and cleaned up, secured the site before leaving. I would definitely use Old World Brick Paving again and recommend them to others.

The gentlemen was very professional,fast,thorough. The job costs more than I had thought. When conditions are correct, I will call back. You get what you pay for. I did not realize all the foundation work that was involved.

Frank identified and solved a drainage and grading problem in our yard that had occurred over the years due to erosion and settling. He suggested building up the soil around the area where the patio was to be installed rather than building up the level of the patio. This kept the cost of the patio and labor down considerably. The grading of our yard is slightly bermed up in areas and not completely flat or level, but Frank was able to lay out a patio design that was well-suited to the area and looks great! His crew (Enrique, Miguel and Jose) worked very hard . They were always very courteous, professional and friendly. They cleaned up the area after each phase - deck and shrub removal, regrading with dirt, installing the patio and even laid fresh sod around the patio and area near the gate where they corrected the drainage. Everything was done neatly and in a timely manner. Overall they did a great job with everything! We would highly recommend Old World Brick Paving. Frank is very knowledgeable about the product and installation requirements as well as design. He always responded quickly to any of our questions or concerns. His crew does a great job! Our patio looks fantastic! (Our only negative comment would be regarding the Unilock bricks. There are still several with efflorescence which hopefully will dissolve soon., but overall the Unilock Brick Pavers are beautiful.)

Frank and his team recently completed a walkway and stair replacement project with pavers in addition to a new installation of a front walkway. Frank made the whole process easy from the beginning, and was always available when questions needed to be answered during the project. His team was terrific. They worked hard to get the job done, and did great work. Their bid was competitive with others we reviewed, but online feedback of the company and meeting with Frank made it an easy choice. I would definitely use them again.
