I received a "Big Deal" email from Angie's List for this company, coincidentally, at the same time that a piece of fascia or soffet(?) came loose and was hanging off the garage. So I decided to call and see if what I needed would qualify for the big deal. Daniel came out promptly that day to give me an estimate, but he admitted that the big deal would not cover all I needed done. I previously only had one gutter on the back of the garage and one downspout. Although it was more than I originally planned to spend, I did think I needed gutters all around and I think the price was reasonable. They did a very nice job on a bitter cold day. My only complaint is that they worked into the evening to finish the job which is admirable, but due to it being so dark outside, they were not able to clean up as thoroughly as they may have been able to do in the daylight. I have a dog and did not want her to pick up or step on any of the numerous white nails that were scattered on the ground or the few pieces of sharp aluminum that were missed in the dark, so I spent the next morning cleaning those remnants. All in all, however, they did a nice job and I will probably use them again when it's time to replace the house gutters and add a new roof to the house and garage.

Called early morning, crew arrived by noon, & finished same day. Very professional & prompt.

Magdan sent a 2-man team. While one crawled in the attic space, the other tapped the spot on the ceiling. After getting a fix on the location, they went onto the roof. They replaced a battered air vent, after installing an insulating sheet, and replaced several shingles around it. When they left, Daniel Micun guaranteed me that there would be no more leaking or they would return. We've had much rain since, including a couple of severe storms, and I've not felt any dampness on the ceiling, nor has the spot grown. Magdan responded promptly to my call and their team went about their work quickly and effectively. I would most certainly recommend Magdan to anyone with a similar problem.

They were prompt and returned calls. I had them quote this for my elderly parents and they came right out and quoted it within days. It took one day worth of work to do the roof & gutter. The awning is on hold until the adjuster figures out all siding and related costs. My parents are happy with them but I think their price was a bit high. I requested that they just give my mom the quote and we'd talk in a day or two. They gave my mom the quote and spoke in details with her w/o me there. I would have haggled but my mom was impatient and didn't consult me, signed a contract, and are happy with the deal they got. --- That whole exchange is why I may not be so eager to use them in the future. I'll give them another chance. ---- I'm just picky when I discuss things and I expect instructions to be followed. My parents are very happy and would use them in a second! The quality and timing of their work is great! The end result is that they quoted a job, had discussion and worked with the insurance company and did a quality job so far! I'll update after the siding thing is completed but it is taking the insurance company a long time.

The work went very well. They were very efficient and showed up exactly when they said they would. They completed the task faster than they thought they would. They cleaned up everything both days that they were here. They did a pretty good job and I would absolutely recommend them. They were actually higher of the bids that we considered, but their quote was thorough.

Awesome. They arrived within an hour, took a look at all of the problem drip spots within the house, then climbed around on the roof to find potential problems. They showed me places which were easy to see, and took pictures to show me of the spots I couldn't see (without climbing on the roof with them! No thanks!!). They removed some of our siding to check the lining underneath, then properly re-installed it. They looked under the shingles and discovered that one side of a small section of roofing does not have any ice/snow barrier under the shingles. So, they stapled a section of waterproof sheeting to the area missing the liner as a test--we'll wait through a few storms and see if that did the trick. If so, they'll come back and do a thorough job of installing real flashing; if not, they'll keep looking! We also had a problem with glass block windows leaking water inside. For this, they were able to see from the rooftop that that particular window has badly worn caulking/silicone seal around the edges. When they come back to repair the roof, they'll climb a gigantic ladder outside and re-seal that window for us. Overall, MAGNIFICENT. Easy to talk to, thorough, excellent explanations, prompt, tidy, and absolutely committed to doing a great job. We will certainly call them after a few storms to complete the work, and any time in the future we need work done we'll definitely all again! UPDATE: The Magdan team came last Friday 7/8 and completed all repair work to the roof and glass-block windows. Because the work was in an area only accessible/visible by climbing up, the guys took pictures on their Blackberry so that I could see the full extent of the original problem and EACH step of their repair/reinstallation process. WOOHOO for that! Prep work and cleanup were very thorough--not a stray piece of material anywhere to be found! They were efficient & friendly, respectful, and (as I said) so incredibly helpful in providing those picture images of what they were doing! On the glass block windows, they said they couldn't see any visible cracks around the edges so just gave the whole window frame a thorough re-sealing with caulk/silicone to help seal it up. Sure enough, a huge storm hit Monday morning and not a drop came through anywhere. We'll definitely hire them again! Thanks!!

They originally came out to look at the damage from the wind and hail and then he came back with the adjustor from our insurance company and went around with him. We are just waiting for the paper work from the insurance company to send to them to see what the price and everything are, but so far they have been great. They have been very friendly, nice, and prompt. They are also very informative, so far, so good.

A few weeks after the big blizzard here in Chicago, when it got warm enough for snow to melt, I started seeing a leak inside my house. I had several people come out and quote and they all said I needed a snow and ice shield. Magdan got on the roof, spent more time looking at the problem, and had a different theory - that the ridge vents on my roof were blown loose due to the blizzard and as such, the excess snow build up inside my roof was melting and causing my issue. I agreed wiht thier assessment (they were the only ones to figure it out) and I hired them. They saved me quite a btit relative to much pricier quotes and had the opporuntiy to also sell me a pricier rain/ice shield bt they were pragmatic. They said no reason to spend money on that until we fixed this and we can wait and see. They had my interest in mind and that won my loyalty. Daniel and his brother were easy to communicate with and overall I was happy with the experience. I would recommend them.

This company was very attentative to my needs and budget. I would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Can't say enough about our experience with this firm. Professional and reliable, work that's lasted a year and appears to be on track to do so for well longer. Would have written sooner as the work was done last year but like to make sure things hold up before advising others. Cost was right - I got a few estimates and Magdan hit the spot. No revisions on estimate and top quality finishing. A family business that made me feel good spending money. They work in any weather (2 inches fell while installing some components - NO LEAKS) and take pride in their work.

The workers were clean, efficient, thorough and friendly. Everything was completed on a timely basis and met all of our expectations. I also liked that a member of management was on site at all times. I would definitely have Magdan Construction again
