I used them and it is good.

I learned about Handy Andy through a referral. Elizabeth is the main point of contact for the estimates, appointment scheduling, and billing. Gerry does the work. I got several quotes for the work needed and they were reasonable and were also very creative with ideas on how to solve some of my problems (for example, they were willing to try to fix the ceramic tile in the bathroom which turned out well vs. contractors who told me I'd have to redo the entire bathroom which we did not have the budget to do). However, one project cost more than I expected and I think there needed to be a conversation about this so it wasn't a surprise (even though the reasons for the change in cost did make sense once explained). Another challenge (which was partially out of their control) was that it rained for most of April and it was too cold in March to do outdoor work. As a result, I got pushed back on their schedule and had to advocate to be moved up because of our need to put the house on the market. I had to fight a little harder for this than I would have liked. They have a constant job every morning and can't begin work until after 1pm. In the end, I did get moved up a couple days which was very much appreciated. Phone calls were returned within a day (and sometimes within minutes), but email communication is less consistent. I was very happy with all of the work done. Gerry is very good and also very creative with solutions. I would work with Handy Andy again.

They are pretty reliable. Their prices are good. I have had them do several things over the years. They come when they say they are going to come. They do what they're going to do, and they do a fairly good job of it.
