He installed the roof wrong which caused major damage to the ceilings inside of the house and then had to be sued before it could be fixed. During the suite we found out he had lied when he told us he was a licensed roofer. He had never applied for a license nor taken the test for a license. He canceled his insurance right after the job started. He installed the telephone wire wrong and that had to be rewired by the telephone company. We did not find out until months later he broke the new intercom system and duct taped it back together so we would not find out. The shelf in one closet collapsed because the fasteners were screwed into the drywall instead of the studs. He installed the garage door wrong and that had to be reinstalled. Instead of having a port-a-potty brought to the job site Ron and his crew pooped in our yard everyday.
Description of Work: Completed a complete remodel of our house.

We do have a beautiful home but have experienced some problems due to to construction, the worst problem is the most recent. Besides that fact that less than 6 months after we moved in we had to replace the new garage opener that the Maloneys installed with another new one because the first had been misinstalled and burned itself up, and the fact the our intercom system would not work and when the main box was opened, we found that the system had been broken on the inside and put back together using duct tape, then our guest room closet shelving collapsed and we found that the screws were not put into wood, but put into the drywalling, on another occasion we returned from a trip early and dropped by his shop and found he was using moldy wood to build the framework for our master bathroom counters that would have eventually been "covered" with ceramic tile, I could go on but the worst and most recent is the leaking roof that we have. Before the inside was finished we experienced water leakage coming through our newly installed roofing in the form of puddles on the floor. At that time the ceilings had also been torn out and the rafters and wood for the roof was exposed. Mr. Maloney admitted that he had installed part of the roof, but only the front part of the house. He ?repaired it?. He completed the construction and we moved in May 2005. In spring 2008 our area received torrential rains so much that nearby towns flooded. Unbeknownst to us our roof leaked and probably had been leaking since the time Mr. Maloney repaired our roof. We have a thick layer of blown in insulation in our ceilings and the leakage was so much that I just happen to go into one of the occasionally used sitting/bedroom areas and noticed a pool of water on the coffee table, water dripping onto the carpeted floor, the loveseat was also wet and a hole in the ceiling that water was dripping through. The drywall was sagging and wet. In fact a large area of that room?s ceiling was wet. In the bedroom a hole had also developed and was dripping, the ceiling and north wall was wet. The drywall paper had lifted from the drywall and the north wall was so wet that it warped! Later that evening we heard a drip and found that the recessed lighting in our kitchen was leaking water. Our sunroom and family room walls also have the same wet drywall damage. It is a mess! Another issue that has arisen is the possibility of mold in the blown in insulation. When our kids come home or occasionally one of us would sleep in the room more than 2 or more nights they start to experience sinus problems and headaches. In July, Mr. Maloney's insurance company came out to see the roof. They denied the claim. The insurance company told my husband this verbally and would not send a denial letter to us to tell us why the claim was denied. Mr. Maloney has been ignoring the problem that he has caused. He has know since June 2008 and this is March 2009.
