Terrible Product... 2 year nightmare. The initial patio turned out great... then they improperly sealed it. stamped concrete was chipping and losing color. They tried several "fixes" that were nothing but a waste of time. Then they put about a 1/2" of new concrete on top... OMG... you can see where the original stamp is coming through..... nice people... just not good at what they do!

Had 3 quotes to have huge project done. UCS was right in the middle price wise. We have had so much headache with contractors in the past which is common. Not the case here. From start to finish, Jason and crew were top drawer! Even helped us with redesigning our front porch. We have been using them for 2 years now and all of our projects are complete. I have never seen such a hard working crew that pays so much attention to detail. We own our own business and take such pride in it. We could see right away that this was the case with the Ortega family as well. I recommend them with the highest regard and we would never use any other company! I read the other reviews here and noticed that the issues were about returning calls in a prompt manner. With all the contractors we have used, this would never be something to give a company (especially a contractor) a bad review for. They stand behind their work and we can speak for that. We are extremely happy with our beautiful driveway, porches, & sidewalk.

They first sent out a young gentleman to collect info for a free estimate. Things went great; however, it was all downhill from there. The first issue is that they were a few days day with the proposal because the gentleman sent it to the wrong email. There were also a few errors with the estimate, so the nice young gentleman they sent out wasn't paying as much attention as we assumed he was. After a few emails, another gentleman (Jaime) corrected the mistakes someone else made. Their estimate wasn't the most attractive, Landscrete's estimate was (which they're licensed, insured, and bonded). After reviewing UCS's website, I came across this price match guarantee: "If you recieve a more attractive estimate from any of our reputable competitors, we will gladly match our estimate with theirs. Simply provide us with a hardcopy of the estimate and recieve a price match on your estimate." I later called Jaime and asked for a price match plus the 10% discount they were running for $4k+ jobs-- even though the website states only one offer. Maria later emailed with this response: "Hello, Sorry Jake we are unable to price match this offer we would run the project too lean and risk not making profit". As I told Maria in my response, there are very few things in life I resent more than a company that doesn't stand behind their word. If they won't stand behind their word, are you willing to pay thousands of dollars to see if they stand behind their work? Do yourself a favor, find somebody else.

Contractor never showed up. Their office called to postpone the appointment by one hour, which we agreed. The hour passed and they never showed up. If they cannot keep an appointment to get new business, who knows what would happen later if hired. Not taking the chance with a business that cannot keep their commitments. Stay away from these guys.

Called for an estimate. They said they would come out on Tuesday at 6:30 and no one ever showed. I called the next day and left a voicemail to call me. No one ever even had the courtesy to call me back.

Project was completed in a professional and timely manner.

Overall the job went pretty well. He had some cleanup to do on a white plastic fence next to the patio where he did not cover it sufficiently with plastic or a tarp and the workmen were going to leave without cleaning it up. We told them that they had to clean the fence and they did it. There are a few surface cracks on some of the edges of the pattern. I am not sure if it is normal or not. But overall it went pretty well and looks good but I can't give a 100% to them.

My experience with UCS was a very good one. The owner of the company was always prompt, professional and kept our interests in mind. The job was quite large, but luckily the weather cooperated and was completed within a relatively short time frame. Their pricing was fair ($1000 less than 1 other quote I got) and their product more superior. They coordinated all of the permits and inspections with the city, so it was seamless to me. I would use them again and highly recommend them to others wanting quality concrete work at a fair price.

The service was timely, professional, and reasonably priced. The final product not only looks fabulous but was built to last. i would highly recommend their services, and I would definitely use them again!

It was the first time I had used them. It went very well. They are very straightforward and didn't delay in the work. The communication process was very good. They were prompt and professional.
