TR Miller Heating, Cooling & Plumbing I think an obvious first step for the company is to be more upfront with pricing. By offering an upfront cost of $79 to assess a plumbing issue seems reasonable. To then have a minimal price that starts at $494 for something as simple as a 45 minute repair seems very unfair. It is similar to a bait and switch--reasonable to ridiculous. I was very specific in my needs--which was to connect two 1" water pipes 4 3/8" apart. I even forwarded a pic before anyone from TR Miller came out to the residence. The explanation from the manager was inadequate and false. Manager stated pricing was based on 50% going to the technician, 40% for overhead, and 10% profit. While I have already gone through the manager's exaggerated pay rate for the technician repair at roughly $250 per hour, Glassdoor site shows a technician hourly salary ranging from $20-$33 per hour. Even at an hourly rate of $50 per hour, a 40 hour per week technician would be at an annual salary of $100k per year-- which is probably closer to reality for pricing. With inflated non-factual pricing to start for labor and then factoring your overhead and profit off of an inflated labor rate, you literally are overinflating pricing by a large margin. Very unfair for a homeowner enticed to use your service which supposedly starts at $79. Will continue to be dissatisfied with my experience with TR Miller. You are a predatory company taking advantage of people. Based on my math, you would have still had great and more fair margins for a 45 minute job charging $250 for the job.

They sent a tech out who was supposed to fix a simple clog job and the tech agreed to an $80 fee. My fiancée who didn’t realize that I was paying implied she was and that her father needed to be contacted about the money he had aside for us. The tech immediately proceeded to lie and tell my father in law that it would be $352 and walked outside to try to scam him. I told the tech to gtfo my property to which he told me I still owed $80. So I called the cops and he left. I then spoke to the service manger who said he would honor the job if I wasn’t rude to the scam artist. So I spoke to the owner who told me that because of what happened to the tech his crew is too scared to come out because I didn’t tolerate this companies disrespect and there was nothing he could do. So Brian here’s the review I decided to post after all. I see why you have terrible reviews on yelp already and hopefully this ruins the little bit of credibility you have so you can’t scam more people. Shoulda listened to me genius.

they were very nice and did a very good job. They came to do the project even on emergency.

This company is a Scam, they tried to scare the tenant in the house , saying that blower on the furnace not running can cause house fire, and ask to replace the blower and circuit board on a running furnace, the furnace just stops after running for a while. There is all kind of safety features on a furnace, he is asking to replace the blower motor for $800 , which only cost $300, and he asked to replace the circuit board for $692 which only cost $213 on amazon. Then he said, he won't guarantee that replacing both will fix the problem, then what is the diagnostic fee of $79 for ? I asked for diagnostic, he asked me to replace everything there, and still won't guarantee that it will work.... all parts that is not necessary. ANother tech already came there ( one that has 30 yrs of experience), but he can't do the work because he is busy , that's why I had to call TJ Miller... and they are the only one that is free that day , no wonder perhaps no body wants to use them Please do not use this scam company......and please remove them from Angie's list to save heartache of other people getting scammed

I got to say I'm extremely satisfied with the overall service. Communication with staff via text, email and with service tech in person was impressive. From the first service call the service staff helped ease my anxiety by explaining the next steps in the process along the way. Thank you for your professionalism and being there for my Family. Ray

The work and the install went as scheduled. The only thing is that they left a smudge on the wall and a little dust.

Paid to have the HVAC checked on 10/23. The service tech seemed to know what he was doing but was not the person who quotes additional work. That appointment was already 10/25. Follow up appointment was scheduled but no one showed up, no one called. I called back on 11/19, was told I would have a return call to re-schedule within an hour. Weeks later, Still Waiting.

Cody showed up on time. Very polite young technician Appears to know his job well. He examined the indoor part of the system. Verified what initially indicated to his office that Freon is needed. He indicated that vents need to be cleaned before sealant and Freon can be added. Cost was as follows: $96 diagnostics + $203 for 1.5 pound Freon & labor + $60 another 30 minutes labor + $187 sealant (cost $27 on Amazon) = $545. System is working well. This cost is significantly higher than last service provider.

Very pleased!! Plus, he assured me that our Furnace did not need to be replaced at the time, as he checked it very thoroughly and said it had been serviced well by prior Furnace company. He was done in a little less than 6 hours, and cleaned up the area needed very nicely.

Tim came out to price the job. He was very knowledgable and answered all our questions. The entire team is built on customer service. They are all very friendly and respectful. The job was completed in a day and left very clean.

The technician was to arrive between 8:00 am and 12:00 noon. On the day of the appointment, we got a call at 7:30 am saying the tech would be there at 8:00 am. He was. Performed the check up/cleaning and filter replacement for the price quoted in 40 minutes. Will use again.

I've used them ever since I purchased my home 17 years ago, and they've been very good. It's working fine. It's kind of a preventative thing that I had them do. Sometimes you have to wait a long time to get them out. I've used them a long time, probably 15 to 17 years.

Tech was very professional and provided very detailed explanation of the service.

Tim was very into the details of the potential installation during the proposal process, which I appreciated. He gave his own advice for which models he thought offered the most bang for the buck, and explained the realistic advantages that we would achieve (or not), by going to higher-end components. This, coupled with a competitive proposal, is why we picked TR Miller for our new HVAC system. The install crew arrived on-time, and was very professional. The installation was clean and appears to be done well. Further more, it was nice to see the small details that Tim mentioned during the proposal process were done as promised, without me having to bug anyone. Based on this good experience, I plan to use TR Miller for my long-term servicing needs.

Tim came out to our home and spent about 3 hours with us evaluating our needs. He did steer us away from some of the most expensive options, stating that we did not need them and they would not provide enough of a return to justify the added cost. The install crew was about 20 minutes late which was not surprising given the distance between their shop and our home. They did call to let us know they were running late due to traffic. With everything they were uninstalling and installing, it was a long day for the crew, but they got everything up and running great. One glitch they had was that they gave me a choice between 2 thermostats and the one I chose did not work so they had to install a different one to get us up and running and come back about 1 week later to install the one we wanted.

I did not find them on Angie's List. They are the people that installed the unit when I bought it. They are very professional; it is all I could have asked for. The workers are very good, very knowledgeable. They are long time employees of the company.

Sent email for a request for a quote and never heard back. Great service! Wanted to keep my business local, but can't when people are unresponsive.

Ben and Christian did the installation. They were very personable and did a great job in what I felt was record time with everything that needed to be done. They even were able to repair my furnace flue connection to my chimney and they cleaned up everything afterward. We are very happy with job that was done

The 2 installers Ben and Christian were very nice and polite. Did an excellent job taking out old pipes and replacing them with new ones. They even straightened out a kink that was there from the original installation that was done 20yrs ago. We can feel the difference now. They cleaned up the mess and now the area looks so much nicer. Very happy with their work. Things running smoothly so far.

I had emailed some questions regarding the installation of an attic fan. Even though this turned out to be a service they did not offer, they quickly answered my questions and pointed me in the right direction.
