+ 2 moreWe had a great experience with Titan Construction. Tim came out to our house and went over all of the details with us. He brought us samples and even climbed on the roof with them to show us the different colors in the daylight. The workers were very professional and were neat and clean throughout the entire job. Last year we had aluminum fascia/soffit/gutters/downspouts replaced by a different contractor. We weren't pleased with the work because there was some buckling and also an 8 foot piece of fascia blew off in a wind storm. When that contractor would not fix his work, we called in Titan to fix it. It looks great now. I would not hesitate to refer Titan Roofing to friends, family, and neighbors.
Description of Work: Titan Construction tore off and replaced our roof. They also corrected some shoddy aluminum work performed by another contractor. A large piece of our fascia had blown off in a wind storm, and they replaced it plus went over and straightened it out.

+ 1 moreWe had some storm damage to our front fascia. We called Titan look at the project and provide an estimate. There was some confusion but I needed to call back as they did not remember to call me. They were very apologetic and assured me that they would send someone out. Titan was very good at assessing the project and estimating the costs. As we were looking at the fascia I had several other projects that needed repair. Again, they were very knowledgeable on how to repair and replace the problems. I received the quote promptly and at first I thought the price was a little high but after talking with friends who had other projects worked on by other companies, I felt comfortable that the price was fair. The workers were very skilled and the project looks great. I am very pleased with the results and would use them again for other projects. Kelly who works in the office was invaluable with keeping me informed on the schedule and very good to work with.

+ -1 moreThe guy is really nice. He fixed where we have the leak. Everything that he said that he is supposed to do for that 200 dollars, he was done within 25 minutes. He was done so quickly but he did fix where our leak was. I am assuming that he did all that but like I said he just worked really fast and he has to look at the gutters and clean and he said everything was clean. So maybe it was just really quickly done. I don't think it was that fast when I came to pay attention to the time after he has done. I don't think he did everything, but again, I wasn't there watching him. He is seemingly helpful when it comes to advice. He was giving us his opinions and some stuff that he had seen and I didn't need to ask him about it. He was very helpful. I think the price is a little high for 25 minutes.With responsiveness, they told that he would show up but there wasn't a call beforehand and he just showed up. He was a little annoyed too because he said they do that to him a lot within the company. Somebody was supposed to call to let me know that he is on his way. I just know that he was coming that day but they never actually give a time. And he said they do that to him a lot. I wasn't expecting him that time.

+ -1 moreThey diagnosed the repairs needed and provided me with an estimate. They installed an entire new shingle roof on my house. They worked with our insurance and we only had to pay for the deductible. After the job was complete, they left a lot of nails around. I had to call them a couple of times. They did come back out and do a clean-up of the leftover nails. They did a great job with the roof. After they resolved the issue with the leftover nails, it was an overall good experience.

+ -1 moreWe started with them in 2011. It took a long time. It's our fault, too. We left out of the country and the contractor also took vacation. We told them to stop, because we didn't want them working while we weren't there. They helped us get our insurance to pay. Our insurance rejected us at first, but they wrote to them and got it approved. They listened to us and were responsive. I called and asked the owner if they knew what they were doing, because they were kind of slow. The next day, those workers were out, and the owner sent new ones. He called me and asked how I liked the new crew and I told him, "Well, we're watching them, and they look like they know what they're doing." They said they just wanted to make us happy and make sure we feel good about what they're doing. We like what they did. Their work has held up good. We had a big snow storm one time, and one of the panels got lose. We called them right away and they fixed it right away, because they didn't want it to be damaged more. It wasn't the siding that came lose, it was the trimming. They didn't charge us for that. Their price was good. We called other companies, and they were the ones who gave us the good price. Then they helped us collect from the insurance.

Description of Work: My first mistake was that I found them on Craigslist and they acted like them. They came to give me an estimate (I have video surveillance) and talked about my insurance State Farm. That was unusual as this was not an insurance job. I think insurance may pay more - what do you think? They also talked about two sisters they said lived on the block and they did work for them. They asked me if I knew them. I did not. They asked 3 times which I found unusual. After they left, I did a background check and the sisters they are talking about do not live on this street. It is a Realty Agency by their name. Another incompetent moment I shared. They said I would get 2 estimates in my email. That did not happen. Why would I need 2 estimates. Something fishy is going on. I waited 2 days and then I called another contractor. They will not get my business ever because they told me that I should rent my 1st floor apartment for extra money. I don't need extra money and they could never afford what I have on the 1st floor. It is dedicated to recreation only. Big Failures. By the way, those cameras I mentioned, have audio also and that is why they are in the inside of the house where it is legal. My neighbors called them names I cannot print. + 0 moreVery competitive pricing with good quality. Crew showed up on time early in the morning and worked late into evening to finish job on time. Crew covered all windows with plywood and tarps to avoid damage from debris. Crew was able to remove two layers of shingles, repair 16 sheets of plywood, and install new shingles, flashing, and new aluminum gutters with oversized downspouts in two days as stated. Crew cleaned up very well and used magnets to pick up as many loose nails as possible in garden and lawn. I would recommend Titan to anyone.

I had quite a bit of damage from storms on June 29 of '12 and I had NO idea what to do, having never had to deal with storm damage or insurance claims. I found Titan on Angie's list, called and Bill was here looking at my roof within about two hours. He explained what he found, what would happen with the insurance company and said he'd take care of everything. He came back out and met with my insurance adjuster (who remembered him from previous disasters!), worked everything out with her and set up the job. It took a week or so for the crews to come out and start work due to scheduling, but within a couple of weeks of the storms everything was replaced/repaired. Made what could've been a really stressful time much easier to deal with. It was such a relief to have one contractor take care of everything, including taking down and replacing the broken posts on my cedar fence. I would definitely recommend them to others and would definitely call them again.
Description of Work: Complete teardown and replacement of roof, replaced roof vents, soffit and fascia, all gutters and spouts, took down and repaired a cedar fence.

+ -1 moreThe individual issuing the quote and who came for the follow up after I contacted asking when the work would be completed was late on both occasions, once for the initial quote then again on the follow up after I inquired why all the work quoted was not completed. He did call to state he was running late, however the lack of punctuality was an inconvenience. The work completed was dramatically less than what was completed, even after clarifying the details of the proposal which was to be completed. The technician completing the work damaged an overhanging gutter shield by cutting the portion that was out of place. After reviewing the completed work with the initial representative he proceeded to claim it was a misunderstanding of the proposal, but he would "take a loss" and have the work completed (he repeatedly felt it necessary to state he and his company would "take a loss" to make it right). He offered this only after I mentioned I was going onto Angie's List as well as other resources. He stated that the up to 75 sq. ft. was a buffer to cover the need if the shingles needed to be removed. He also stated that they were not certified for mold remediation, after telling me prior to the work that the section in question would be removed. I did not feel comfortable having a deceptive company back out so I chose to terminate our business and pursue the correction with another company. The small amount of work was in no way worth the amount paid. Upon the first rainfall after the service the HVAC vent leaked a tremendous amount of water into my basement. In the years of owning the home with the previous vent I never had a leak. Titan sent a technician out the following day to repair the issue, and as of yet it has not leaked again. The individual repairing the faulty install was here and gone briefly and had no concern (or the company) to check any potential collateral effects from the leaking which was caused by their inept install. The entire experience was extremely disappointing. I will avoid this company going forward and most certainly not recommend them.
Description of Work: I received a quote for a small roof repair stemming from a small amount of mold I discovered present on the underside of my roof in the attic at a joist joint. Upon clarifying the quote the representative stated that I would not need to be present for the repair, and I clarified with him that the section containing mold damage would be removed. I chose to proceed with the work after clarifying the quote. The technician replaced a roof HVAC exhaust vent, and installed a small amount of flashing. Proposal was for approximately 75 sq. ft. of shingles to be removed and replaced, to inspect and wood roof deck and replace any bad wood, install ice and water shield underlayment under repair area, replace damaged or missing flashing, and for a new 7" exhaust vent to be installed.

+ -1 moreThe material was delivered while nobody was home to sign for it. They started the installation process while no one was home as well and got about three or four rows up and then we arrived and discovered that it was the wrong siding. They did resolve that issue and restarted with the correct siding. Rather than using the new brackets (which we are paying for), which are used to brace the bottom level of the siding, they used the existing piece. When I brought this to their attention, they began to get very frustrated with me and the whole situation went south from there. Prior to the work being started, we informed them that we had an awning that would need a specialist to remove. Rather than hiring out that job to someone, they had two of their employees try to remove it and they broke two pieces of the awning. Then they ended up having to hire out the removal of the awning to someone else anyway and the owner of Titan became very upset that he was having to spend more money than he thought he would as they hadn't budgeted for this specialist like we advised them to prior to work starting. On the front of our home they installed a special type of siding that looks like wood but doesn't have to be painted after the initial paint job. We got home that night (and it was dark) and there were workers out there painting. We tried to hold up some lights for them so they could finish the job. We got up the next morning and realized that the paint job looked terrible as there were many places that were missed or items that shouldn't have been painted but were. The next day, they sent out a painter to fix their mistakes. After that work was done, we realized that they had used the wrong color of paint. It was supposed to be almond in color and instead turned out a yellow-ish color. We ended up going out and buying paint and brushes and completed the painting ourselves on the promise that Titan would reimburse any expenses that we incurred doing that work ourselves. That reimbursement never came. We were having a cookout this weekend, and noticed that now pieces of siding were falling off next to the soffit above our deck. The boards are hanging off of our house about thirty up, which is completely our of our reach to repair (on the west side of the home). After the initial work was performed, we called the owner of Titan to ask some questions and to have a small piece that had fallen off be replaced. We never received a return call from the owner, however they did send a worker out to make that minor repair (on the south side of the home). They were very hard to communicate with and it seemed like they had a hard time understand what exactly we were asking for.
