I needed an emergency repair to my roof after a storm. I called and left a message and received a callback in a few minutes. Doug was very close to my area and was at my front door rather quickly. He inspected the roof and found the problem, when I asked when we could schedule, he had the materials in his truck and could fix the same day. What a relief because I knew it would be raining in the evening and over the next few days. I have found my contact should I have any other roof repairs. Doug was very responsive from the start. He communicated with me via email within the hour of my 1st email and then called to confirm our appointment. He was pleasant and professional, and given the day he must have had after the storm, this was unexpected. He didn't talk down to me or make me feel like I was overreacting (since only 3-5 shingles were missing.) He phoned the next day to ask if he could change our appointment, which meant the repairs would happen a day earlier than planned. He was prompt, courteous and gave me a fair quote on the spot. We agreed on the repairs and I'm happy to say it all went well. He took time to explain to me what he was doing and why. Again, not in condescending manner, but with respect and courtesy. While I don't hope to have another unexpected roof repair, I do know that if it does happen, I will call Doug. Having relocated several times over the years, I've worked with my fair share of contractors. Doug's customer service was OUTSTANDING. I would highly recommend him.

We were very pleased with the finished roof and all of the contact we had with Doug. He's very professional and offers great communication and follow up before and after the job was completed. We received updates about the projected date we could expect the project to begin and he and his assistant showed up on time to begin the work. Roof was completely stripped and replaced in 3 days time and the guys did a great job of cleaning up after each day's work. Doug called on a Sunday morning and was out within an hour. Cleaned gutters and, more importantly, downspouts. He repaired an incorrectly installed downspout causing problems; even trimmed back a tree that was overhanging a gutter. Did a lot for what he charged. Got the job done efficiently. I highly recommend and will use again.

Doug seems to be a very honest and pragmatic guy. He didn't oversell us on things we didn't need to replace. He has replaced four or five of our neighbors roofs and they have all been happy. Doug did all the roofing work himself. He believes in having minimal staff members to ensure high quality. He charges a very reasonable price. The rest of the quotes we received were around $9-$10K.

The service went very, very well. He was punctual with the estimate, and didn't try to sell me a new roof, He said it would be okay for another three years or so. He told me at the beginning that it wouldn't take longer than two weeks. He came on his day off because it was going to rain, then called me the next day to let me know it was done. It didn't even take a whole day. He was there to help me and not there for himself. I would definitely recommend him to others and I will most certainly use him again.

Job was completed on time. When first called they told me they were extremely busy and he would understand if I needed to contact another company. I appreciated the fact that he had my best interest in mind. I stayed with him and he made time to do my job in a very reasonable time frame. I will definitely use them again.

I was in the process of selling my house and the buyer required that I clean the gutters as part of the sale. Well, with freezing temperatures making that an impossibility, I gave On The Top Roofing a call based on previous work and he said that he would help get this addressed. With a break in the weather coming through on a weekend, he drove down, did the job and reported the work with me being 700 miles away. The buyer was happy and once again, the price was more than reasonable with service second to none! If you have gutters that need cleaning, give them a call - you will not be disappointed.

Checked with the providers on Angie's List and did not see anyone listed in the immediate area so I contacted a few outside my area. This was on a Saturday evening. It was very shortly thereafter that Doug contacted me and said he could take care of what I needed done. We talked the following morning - Sunday - and he said that he could do it that morning . . . on a Sunday??? He showed up exactly as scheduled and was very professional in getting the cleaning done . . . cleaned up the ground with what he had removed from the gutters and took care of what had been bugging me since moving in. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking at having work done that falls under his scope of expertise. I called at 9:00 a.m. to get a price for gutter cleaning. It had rained the night before and water was pouring over the edge of the gutters. Since a bigger rain is being forecast for the afternoon I needed someone to come out right away. I spoke with Doug on the phone and explained my situation. He was here within the hour and the job was done by 10:15. What a relief! He also gave me an estimate on replacing a dented downspout and adding a longer downspout extension in two places. He'll be returning next week to do that job.
