Matt came out to give me an estimate the same day I called. I had wanted 3 trees trimmed. The small tree to be trimmed was reaching into the power and cable lines. We decided to remove it completely as it would continue to be a problem. They arrived the day promised. I asked them if they could also trim another tree. It was no problem. The trees look great and they did a total clean up of the branches. Very pleased with the results.

One tree was a giant, overgrown evergreen that was right next to my house and the other was a birch. I called Matt and he had someone come out to give me an estimate within a few days, and then a few days later they came and took down the trees and did the stump grinding. I didn't have to be there so while I was at work, all this happened. This was a good job that was done very quickly! I would use them again if needed.

Illinois Tree Service was fabulous start to finish. I obtained several estimates and Matt was the first to respond the very next day. After reviewing all of the estimates and checking Angies List, Illinois Tree Service was chosen as they had a low price and had many very favorable reviews so I hired the company. Matt came out with his crew, and cut away the tree. Before starting the stump grinding process, the crew gently dug up a couple of perennials and set them aside so they would not be damaged by the machine. Once completed and while on site I asked Matt if he could remove some dead branches from three other trees on the property. Matt did so with out hesitation and at the addition of a very reasonable price. The original tree removal and stump grinding was $150 and the additional tree branch pruning added another $30. Matt and his crew were very polite and professional. At the end of the job he thanked me for hiring his company. I will definitely use this company again.

My experience with Illinois Tree Service was excellent. I wish all my "to do's" would go this quickly and smoothly. Granted, this was not a huge job but Matt, the owner, was great. I had called Matt to arrange to get an estimate for the work. I left a message and he called back several hours later. The work to be done was at my elderly mom's house in the western suburbs. I live in Chicago. When Matt called back I informed him of this and said I would be at the house the next day, late morning or early afternoon but I couldn't lock in a time. We agreed to talk by phone around 11. Right around 11 Matt called to check my schedule. I told him I would be at the house by noon and he agreed to meet me there then. I showed him the dead limbs and he said they would be no problem, but he had a minimum of charge of $150.00. I walked him around to the back yard and pointed out a couple more trees that had some dead wood and he agreed to take care of that also to "fill out" (my wording) the charge. I asked when he could schedule the work and he said he could do it that afternoon as his crew was just finishing a job several towns over. I then asked him how he would get to the big limbs in the front yard as they were way higher than a bucket would reach. When he told me his guys would climb the trees to reach the limbs, I told him I would need proof of insurance, both liability and workman's comp. He had a certificate of insurance with him which I carefully read and all things looked good. I gave him the okay to come back that afternoon. Two hours later he and his crew rolled up and started work. They were fast, polite and friendly. They ground-up all the tree debris and swept up the sidewalk and street around the chipper. i was very happy to get this done so quickly. I will add that on my initial meeting with Matt that morning, he was very careful to point out that he would trim only dead wood from the oak trees as oaks should only be trimmed when dormant - late fall, winter (dead wood can be trimmed anytime). This was something I did not realize and it re-assured me that Matt would only do what was needed and not try and "sell me" more work. I would definitely use Illinois Tree Service again. Even though the job was small, Matt gave a 5% Angie's List discount too! Thanks Matt.

Overall, it went well. They came and cut down a large cluster of trees. I originally went with these guys because they said that they can grind down the stumps under the ground. The location of my tree, however, did not really allow them to so they ground down some other trees that were cut down (before and not by them) for the same price.

Called company on a Sunday and he answered the phone! Set up estimate for the next day. Matt arrived at the exact time arranged. He gave me his estimate right then and there. The entire meeting took about 10 mintues. I had three other estimates from "A" rated Angie list companies. Illinois Tree Service was the lowest bid; however, the two of the other companies prices were no more than $125 higher. Only 1 company was much higher in price. I called Matt on a Monday to tell him he got the job. He called JULIE on Monday, and the work was done by noon on Wednesday. Everything was completed as agreed. I was not home during the job, but my neighbor had told me he had scaled the immense Ash tree in the backyard, cutting down the dead limbs. I was amazed at how high he had gotten. All the trees and branches were taken aaway. The only thing left were the stump grindings, which he had said would be the case, and was as agreed. He was very professional and nice. I recommended him to a friend and brother-in-law and they both used him.

The workers were very good. The service was good. I would use them in the future.

The work was performed will I was away at work. They did a great job on the tree removals and stump grinding. The large tree not only had the large branches on the side which overhung the house removed, but the tree was "rebalanced" so it maintained a natural look. The areas where the work was done were cleaned up completely. I was very happy and will both use Illinois Tree Service again and recommend them to people I know.

They did a wonderful job of trimming several old trees and the trees look great. They skillfully removed a huge ash limb that was over the house. The team worked very hard for a little over 3 days, scheduling around a snowy day, and cleaned everything up very nicely, even though they had to haul debris all the way across the fenced in property and around the house. The yard looks wonderful. Matt and his crew are a pleasure to deal with. The estimate was right on, they are very professional, and I highly recommend them.

I called for an estimate and Matt was out the same day. The team came out the next week and in the cold of January removed the tree skillfully and patiently, piece by piece, with ropes, to keep anything from falling on nearby buildings and vehicles. They were prompt, worked hard all day, and removed all debris. They are very professional and a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend them to anyone needing tree service. The price listed includes the Angie's list discount.

Matt Budin scheduled an appointment for an estimate the day following my call and showed up right on time. Examined the trees and told us what to expect, and not expect, from the trimming. On the scheduled day Matt and his crew showed up as agreed and performed the trimming. It took several hours. The yard was cleaned up and the trimmings all taken away. The bill was as agreed and we were given the Angie's List 5% discount. Matt said to call him and he'd return if we found anything not to our liking. The trees look great! I'd definately recommend Illinois Tree Service to anyone in the area.

I called and received a quote within a day or two. When I called them a few weeks later, they were able to come out within a few days. They performed the work when I was not there and when I came home, everything was done as requested and cleaned up. They were quick, neat and professional.

They came early and spoke with me about what they would be doing with the trees. They were to prune each tree, and trim off the dead branches that had been hit by lightning and which just needed a good trim to avoid dropping leaves and branches on our roof. Each time they began a new tree, they came and spoke to me about the type of trimming I wanted on that particular tree. There's not too much more I can say. They were considerate of my feelings (I love trees), and did the job properly. They also answered questions I had about trees and the proper way to take care of them. I was quite happy with every facet of the job and will use then, and recommend to friends, in the future.

I requested a quote online. Illinois replied to email quickly. I explained need ; they gave me a ball park price but said it could change at visit (which was fair). They visited on date as expected. Mark (I believe), the foreman, listened carefully to my needs and provided good suggestions. He gave me the quote which was aligned to what I was told earlier and he started the job on-the-spot. I really appreciated being able to get a quick response via email then have them visit and work immediately (i.e., instead of having to have them visit , give me an estimate, then return to do the work).

They came out quickly to do the estimate, quoted us a price that was ~$300 cheaper than another highly rated Angie's List service, and came out within 2 days of me accepting the quote. So it went fantastically. They also cleaned up quite a bit more than I expected them to and did some additional trimming on a tree that hadn't been included in the original quote.

Service was prompt and efficient. Matt answered phone calls quickly. Gave a reasonable estimate and finished the job in a matter of days. Will definitely call on him again for any tree trimming or tree removal services

We are pleased with Matt (the owner of the company?), he is straightforward, uncomplicated, accommodating, polite and easy to deal with.

Two large trees in our yard leaned towards out neighbor's house and had dropped fairly large branches onto their roof more than once. Illinois tree service had done work for us before and we were very satified, so I called them again about taking down these trees. The 1st time I called, I never received a return call. This was, however, a couple days after a large storm, so I tried calling again a couple weeks later. This time my call was returned within 24 hours. I set up a time for the the next Saturday (so my husband could talk to them about what he wanted done) for an estimate and a date was set for the next Friday to have the trees taken down. I got a call on Thursday asking if it was OK if the removal was moved back to Monday because of the very hot and humid weather we had been having that whole week. The change of days was fine with me. The crew showed up promptly at 8:00am on Monday and were done by 2:00pm. They removed all brush and logs and cleaned up the yard and driveway very well.

Illinois Tree Service did a great job. Requested quote early in spring. Matt showed up promptly and gave quote that was in line with two other quotes received. Final price the same as another highly-rated tree service after Angies List coupon. When I called to schedule the work in late June, they fit me in as soon as possible, for the second week in July. They showed up early in the morning and were working fully before 8am. I was surprised - it rained heavily the previous night and the tree and house roof was still very wet. A 3-4 man team worked steadily all morning, no breaks, and finished the job around 1pm. A next-door neighbor asked for mid-size, leaf-free branches to make firewood from, and they kindly took over every branch similar to the first one he had pointed out. We were happy they didn't require the fence be taken down to get their stump removal machine in, like another tree service had wanted. They walked all the big branches the long way around the house to not hurt the fence. They cleaned the house and yard up well and completely, utilizing rakes and leaf blowers to get it all off the house roof, yard and driveway. Some stray leaves remain on the lawn, of course, but will easily be handled when next I mow. They also did a great job on the stump grinding. They went 6-8 inches down below the surface of the ground, and raked up the ground stump to be a mound over the stump afterwards. The quote had said that they'd leave the sawdust from the stump grinding. Overall, great experience with Illinois Tree Service! Matt was responsive and punctual about providing quote and organizing date for tree removal and JULIE pre-visit to mark utilities. The polite team who removed the tree did a great job: arriving punctually, working steadily, and cleaned up the yard well.

I obtained quotes from three companies and Matt's was significantly lower than the others. His response was quick and no-nonsense - the job is straight forward and so was his approach. He came and did the job early, which I appreciate since time is short in my case. The tree and all branches and roots were removed in a matter of hours. The clean-up was fine, but not excellent, hence the B rating on quality. I recommend this service highly.

I selected Illinois Tree based on the numerous positive recommendation on Angie's List. The estimator came the house when agreed, and the price was reasonable. I told him that I wanted to be home when the work was done, and that I would be traveling the following week so we would have to schedule it for the end of the week or Saturday. He said he would call to confirm the exact time. He did call back and we agreed on a schedule, but he never showed. I called the office and left a message, but did not receive a response. In the end, the work was performed by Tritan Tree Service which performed the work efficiently and for the agreed-upon price.

I was very satisfied with the service. Matt came fast for estimation. They did cutting and trimming on April 5th, and came back in the following week for stump grinding because of grinding machine breakdown on the cutting day. The site was clean after the service. He also gave me a 5% discount for mentioning Angie's list. Great service!

On Friday, the team arrived shortly before 8 am and left around 11:15. They first trimmed the branches on several trees overhanging our house and garage. They then cut down a walnut tree to the stump and removed all debris. They were prompt, courteous and efficient. I would hire them again should the need arise.

Estimate was punctual (same day) and reasonable. I did think that they would do more yard clean-up but Matt explained that although they were willing to cut small trees and vines, they did not rake or remove trash. They did do more pruning after we met to look at the yard. I actually had them come back a second day to remove some evergreens that were too overgrown to be just pruned.
