Greenwood did an Absolutely fabulous job with bright red mulch and it makes our property look stunning! I love the wonderful mowing job that they do week to week as well!

Three workers and Nick, whom we dealt with on the project, showed up at 2:30pm Thursday to remove bushes and prepare the plant beds. We had plans so we did not see them work or how late they stayed. When we surveyed the job Friday morning we noticed three bushes that were not removed as had been discussed at the contract signing. When Nick and the two man team arrived we pointed this out and it was rectified with no problem. Nick left and the two man crew worked hard all day in 94 degree heat to get the job done, They finished up and applied water to their work by 5pm Friday. We provided them with four bottles of water which they politely accepted. Nick arrived at 8:30am to settle the total bill. He had stated earlier that for jobs under $15000 they do not require a down payment. We had contacted two other landscaping services which did not respond or did not respond in a timely manner. This is why I cannot rate the price of the work. We had no other quotes to reference. We chose base on the professionalism of Nick and the company he represents.

I've always been satisfied that they completed what we have hired them to do.

Very well. You know you are dealing with professionals with Greenwood. They took a bit of time - probably a week - to get back to my initial phone call but my initial phone call was in the middle of the summer which I assume is their busiest time in the year. All the work turned out great.

They brought great ideas and everything looks wonderful even a year later.

The work is solid. They come, do the work, and leave. We hardly know they've been there. I have no complaints about their service.

I have used Greenwood Lawn Services for over 12 years for lawn mowing, fertilizing, sod replacement, fall cleanup and dethatching. The owner, George Krass, directs a very professional and courteous crew. George is very customer focused and guarantees his services and if I have any concerns or question relating to lawn or garden care, I call George and he most often comes to the property to see the issue first hand. He will then make a recommendation or get back to me if he doesn't have an immediate answer. Three of my neighbors now use Greenwood Lawn for various services and are very satisfied customers.

Their work was absolutely wonderful and the price was great!

He was on holidays yet got back to us in a timely fashion. Work was done on time and to our satisfaction.

It didn't. They didn't respond to my inquiry.

Greenwood does a great job. They are here weekly as requested but quickly adjust the schedule whenever we asked. Usually we only need to drop a note in with our monthly payment and they adjust accordingly. If we need something immediate we give them a call and it is taken care of. Our only compliant has been that they don't mow the lawn quite low enough and within a day or two it seems that it needs to be mowed again. Once we speak to them they adjust, but we have had to remind them several times.

I like their work and their price. I am going to go with them to treat the lawn again. I was satisfied with their work.

My husband and i kept planning to get to the yard clean up and time just got away from us. We were hosting a party in one week and so we needed help fast. I called George at Greenwood and he was so polite and professional and gave me a very reasonable estimate for the work. They arrived a 2 days later and did an excellent job. I was impressed with the speed and efficiency of the crew. I will call George again in the Spring.

From the initial estimate to the end of the project Greenwood was extremely professional, timely and their work was fantastic. All of the workers were courteous and worked continuously, asking me for directions whenever they had any questions. They did exactly what they said they would do for exactly the price they quoted at the exact time they contracted. I have had several landscape companies work for me but no one has come close to their level of workmanship, courtesy or work ethic. I will not use anyone else but them in the future.

They are very professional all the time. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to use them.

Initially it went well, but when I asked them not to come due to the weather I was told I called too late and they would cut anyway. They cut the lawn during the drought when it should not have been mowed. It was way too short for the weather conditions. I felt they were more concerned with getting the money than the customer. I cancelled and went with a different service which is more aware of the customer's needs and the condition of the lawn. I have yet to figure out how they have an A rating on Angie's List.

I first contacted Greenwood Lawn Services via their website on 5/26/12. Unfortunately, I did not get a response back from that inquiry, so I called them on 6/4. At that time I spoke to George, the Owner of the company. He was very courteous during our call, and apologized that my initial inquiry on their website had not been responded to. We scheduled an estimate, which he followed through on promptly. George and I walked through my property so I could tell him exactly what I needed done, and he took notes accordingly. The job required a great deal of edging to be done on several trees, and on several landscape areas as well. I had neglected to do any edging myself the previous year, and frankly the work was badly needed. He also gave me an accurate assessment on aproximately how much mulch was needed, and that was it. He said he would stick the written estimate in my mailbox the next day, which he did as promised. The estimate I got from Greenwood was the third (and final) estimate I received, and after sending a letter to George which clarified the work needing to be done, as well as inquiring about the 10% discount Greenwood offers Angie's List members, I stated I would hire him for the work as long as he agreed to do the job as elaborated on in my letter, and if he agreed to discount his original estimate by the 10% offer he has on the Angie's List website. When we spoke after he received my letter, he agreed to my terms, and said his crew would come over to do the work within a week or so. At that time I asked him to please call me 24 hours before the work was to be done so I could be sure to be home when they did the work. He actually called me early on the morning of the 18th and indicated they could do the job that morning, and since I was working from home that day, I agreed. Within 30 minutes or so after he called, his 3 man crew came over and started working, headed by Domingo. I quickly went over all the work needing to be done with Domingo, and he confirmed everything. Domingo and his crew did a exceptional job on all the edging, and then after lunch he and his co-workers installed all the mulch. I was very satisfied with their efforts, and was quite pleased with the quality of the final results. They did back-breaking work on a very hot day, and did everything to my 100% satisfaction. All in all, the experience I had with Greenwood Lawn services was excellent. They did high quality work for a very reasonable price, and I would not hesitate to hire them again in the future.

First time we've decided to try them for the mowing season. Thus far, THEY'RE GREAT ! I'm pleased we took a chance ! Very-polite, -professional, -punctual, and well-priced. We're pleased to have them service our lawn AND THE LAWN LOOKS GREAT !!

They come out on a weekly basis. They do a great job. I have been using them for several years.

We have been using Greenwood Since 1999 to provie lawn services, weekly mowing, areation, fall clean-up, etc. They have been very easy to work with. George is always responsive to our needs and calls back right away if I have questions or concerns. Prices are very good and work is always of high quality. He does the 2 houses right next store, one a recent referral, and the other for several years. The mowing is done on the same day each week and his workers are friendly and efficeint. The lawn always looks great.

George got back to me by phone later the same day I left a message, and came by with to do an assessment and estimate. I was happy with the price, and gave the go ahead. He stated they were pretty booked, but could probably work in our small job in a couple of weeks. I was pleasantly surprised to see the crew pull up early the next week. The two man crew discussed what was to be done with me, and got right to work. They did a thorough job of removing the dead tree, and cleaning up the debris left over from cutting it down. They cut the stump to the ground, and other than that you'd hardly know there was a tree there. They did a marvelous job of cleaning out and weeding the flower beds and tree beds, edging them to keep the grass out and re-mulching. They pruned a magnolia tree that was rubbing up against the house and hanging over the walking path to our front door. Again, no left over debris from the pruning. They left the yard and the area where they parked their truck and trailer almost spotless. I'd definitely call on George and his crew again!

Overall they are great. My only problem with their work is how the two man crew actually does the job. One mows and the other edges, trims and cleans up the grass clippings. This is all fine, but the trimmer/edger doesn't wait until the mower completes an area of the lawn before he trims or edges that area. This usually leaves areas that are not trimmed or edged properly. Sometimes the mower leaves areas uncut that should be taken care of by the trimmer/edger but isn't because the trimmer has already been in that area and apparently thinks that the mower will take care of it.

The company returned my inquiry call in the same day, and the caller was very pleasant and professional. He was able to stop by our house the next day to look things over and give us an estimate. He quoted us on lawn care, landscaping, etc. We called a couple days later to ask them to do the landscaping work now, and maybe the lawn service in the fall. They were able to come out within 2 days. The workers were efficient and did a good job. We plan to have them come back.
