The loading went very well. It was obvious that Dan and Cory knew what they were doing. The truck was packed efficiently and securely and did not shift at all during the 200 mile drive. When we unpacked at the other end, nothing was broken or missing. I am very pleased and would highly recommend them. It was worth the trip charge.

The whole crew was fantastic. they worked their tails off to get it all done At the new house they took most of the boxes down the basement for me. We were racing storms and high winds to finish...and they even took the time to rescue a neighbor's garbage cans that were blowing down the street.. I can't say enough for these fellows and would hire them again for a big or small job. They are at the top of my list and are also enjoyable tand fun o be around!

This is a top-notch outfit. We had a video game cabinet delivered on a pallet that was far too big and heavy for me to drag into the basement solo, so I called Generation Movers based on the glowing recommendations of others in my area. I received a return phone call within 10 minutes from the owner, who asked a few questions and then quoted a fair price for the work. He was able to schedule a 2-person crew for the following day, which was far above my expectations but much appreciated given that my kids couldn't wait to start playing with their new toy. They arrived 15 minutes early and were polite, professional and disarmingly funny - really good guys. They were also quite patient as we unwrapped the game cabinet to find that it needed partial disassembly to fit through our door. Rather than charge me a trip fee and then head for their next job, they each grabbed a screwdriver and flashlight and helped me break the cabinet down, cracking jokes and throwing good-natured shots at each other the whole time. From there it took only 20 minutes for them pad, wrap and carry it to the basement. In all it was a very, very pleasant experience and I don't hesitate to add my voice to the others who recommend Generation Movers so highly.

We were very pleased with the way it went. They padded and shrink wrapped the items that needed it. We were told we didn't even have to pack up the dresser drawers. They were very careful with padding, wrapping and moving a 180# - 60" television that we were concerned about. It arrived safe and sound! They put each and every piece of furniture and boxes in the rooms we wanted them in. They also unassembled the bed and then assembled it in it's new home. I would definitely recommend them to everyone!

It went very well. I rented a u move semi truck and hired generation movers to do the loading. They showed up 10 minutes early. They worked from the time they got here for 6.5 hours without taking a break. I offered them a break but they said no. They had the best attitude. Moving is so stressful and they made the day easy. We had so much stuff and they packed so well that everything fit. They never complained, and, they were careful with everything. I have moved often. These are the best movers I have used. It is a family business...and these guys work hard, and take pride in doing a good job. I highly recommend them.

I have been at the same address for over 22 years and the concept of “moving help” is new to me. Still, instead of doing the loading of the U-Haul truck by myself I decided to give it a try and hire someone to do it for me. This was a shot in the dark as I do not have names or references from any of my friends regarding hiring loaders and had to rely on internet search machines and Angie's List. I found the name Generation Movers, a local business in Plainfield, Illinois where we live, and decided to call them to schedule loading of my rental truck. Was I surprised! They were very accommodating with regards to rescheduling due to delays in getting my truck and were helpful in packing some unplanned pieces of furniture with the rented blankets because of the additional space available (we ended up with a 26ft truck instead of the 17ft truck due to circumstances beyond the control of the U-Haul office). The crew of two showed up on time and loaded this big truck in a matter of two hours- the contracted time. When asked, they stated that they would stay longer until everything was loaded- of course for an additional fee that was in my opinion fair. We were very pleased with the results, the price and the excellent way they stored everything inside the truck to make maximum use of the available space. In sum, they were excellent and I intend to use them again for my next trip with household goods to NC. My household goods arrived at destination scratch free.
