DRF Water Heating Solutions

Initially, there was some confusion. A crew came out and inspected the job. It was indicated that to install the new hot water heater will require revising the water lines, which would required removing the shut-off valve on the cold water supply line. That will require shut-off of the water supply to our condo unit. Checking, we were unable to find a local water shut-off for the condo unit which meant that the water supply to the condo building would be required. We had to provide the residents in the condo building a 24-hour notice that the water supply to the building would be shut off for about 2-hours. A different crew came at the appointed time. They were able to install the new hot water heater with only revising the hot water return line. There was no need to shut off the water to the building. The work was done efficiently and in a short period of time.

2 weeks ago the DRF technician came out to replace my water heater and didn’t Notice he had disconnected the drain from the catch pan. Water poured on the 2nd floor and sweeps through the ceiling on the first floor. Ruining my ceiling, wiring and nest protect. I contacted their customer service immediately after and sent them the repair estimate they asked for (from an Angie’s list A+ rated company). They haven’t returned my call or emails. Still waiting, meanwhile my house is in worse condition then when they came. All I am looking for is for them to right their wrong. But they won’t even write or call me back.

Great and terrible. the installers were great, but the company had major issues with financing. sales said 12 month no interest but when the team arrived, they wanted to charge the hole amount to my credit card. it it took multiple hours before the financing was finally approved and install began. so the failing grade is for sales lack of financing knowledge. BIG waste of installers time and mine. Way to many phone conversations. would usethem again and would also recommend the company IF financing issue is corrected

My installer Kevin was excellent! He worked very fast. Heater installed very professionally. Kevin took the time to explain everything to me. I would definitely recommend Kevin as your installer.

Andy & Clayton did a great job quickly diagnosing water leak and quickly setting up subsequent service. DRF was able to come out days sooner than other local services

Technician was very professional and thorough. This installation was not typical due to issues with the home and the technician resolved the complications quickly due to his obvious years of experience. Very clean install.

We had asked for a particular day that was not available on their schedule, so we scheduled a later time. However, on the day we originally requested, they called and asked if we still wanted to do it that day. They called as promised when the installer was on his way, and their estimate for time was spot on. Ryan was efficient and knowledgeable and friendly, and did a great job in no time.

I bought the toilet. Cameron and another (forgot his name) showed up on time and assembled the toilet and installed it. Ran into a problem and they had the experience, tools and inventory on their truck to quickly solve the problem. Polite and knowledgeable, no problem with this company and their personnel

It could have went better. I went to work and my wife stayed home for the installation. She informed me the plumber was very personable and explained there was going to be extra charges for code violations which were taken care of. He also explained to her we had a pipe leading to our broiler and because of the size of the water heater it could lead to the pipe leaking. That is what exactly happened. He told her he couldn’t work on that problem put a bucket under the leak and left. So actually what he did was fixed one problem and left us with another. I think he took advantage of my wife lack of experience in dealing with these type of situations

Excellent! The technicians arrived promptly and waited for me to get home. They were courteous, understanding, professional and punctual. Jesse was great, experienced, highly professional, work done very neat and clean. in fact, my neighbor was impressed and will use the company on his next project. I know I am calling them for my next house project. I am very impressed.

Great! Nice guys. Friendly, efficient with their time. Lean and tidy. Informative insofar as when the hot water will be available, reminded me about sir in the line. Couldn’t be more pleased with them or the job.

I had them come out and perform the work while I was out of town and my family was home. They had Great sales and service. They explained everything on the phone from the get go, most professional and upfront about everything. Bit on the pricier side but work done was clean. My biggest issue was that they left a plastic shoe cover/bootie over my fire alarm that was by the water heater. This was unacceptable and left my family susceptible to CO poisoning if there had been a leak. I noticed it when I returned at the end of the week and went in the basement to see their job. Such a mistake should not be expected from a company of this reputation and when you pay top dollar.

Excellent crew very polite to me and each other. A number of times Noe asked the other worker to go to the truck to get some fixtures and each time he asked with "please" and "thank you" and his partner responsed with "your welcome". I think it reflects how well they work respectly to each other and the quality of their work. They also used critical thinking to get the water heater to fit in the small space and also to get access to a crawl space opening in the floor. They raised the water heater on some bricks to give it the proper clearance. I appreciate that kind of work skill.

Very pleased with the positive attitude, efficiency, and professionalism of this company. The 3 people that I spoke to on the phone (Ellyn, Amanda and Justin) spoke clearly and explained things thoroughly. I was advised that Glen Ellyn requires a permit ($60) for this work and that I could pick it up at the village hall right away. They emailed the village ahead of my arrival and had everything all set when I got there so it took just 5-10 minutes to accomplish. The installation crew (Andrew and Ryan) arrived at our home punctually and accessed the job. Andrew explained that by code, a gas shut off valve must be installed which was an extra $80 charge (the need for this seemed reasonable given the permit and post install village inspection). The guys were careful and clean as they brought in the new heater and removed the old one. Upon completion, Andrew explained the installation and went over the operation of the new unit with us. The entire process from first contact to completion took just 3-1/2 hours!

Andrew and Scott were super nice and professional with the hot water heater install. They talked me through all the steps and informed me of any installation adjustments that needed to be made. They cleaned up everything after the job was done! I’d totally recommend DRF and Home Depot!

Albert and his associate arrived on the day designated . They were professional,courteous,and conscientious in the work they did and interacting with my wife and I . They did an excellent job getting old tank out ,and not damaging anything in our house . Installation was completed ,and what a Magnificent job they did . We have had a few hot water tanks done by contractors , but this one was by far the best .
