After the second visit, there was no follow-up and no response after repeated attempts on my part to contact her by email and phone.

I first contacted Jan in August and set up an appointment for her to come to the house to consult on chair and fabric choices for a new dining room set that I was about to order. As per the agreement with all Decorating Den franchise's, I knew that I would be charged for her consultation unless I purchased items from her. At a second appointment, we did pick out some items which I became very excited about and left it that she would get back to me on the prices. I never heard back from her! After waiting for two months, I emailed her and again did not hear back from her or anyone in her office. In early November, I emailed once again and called her office. I spoke to her assistant who apologized but stated that Jan was away that week because of her father's death. She did state that she found my file and assured me that Jan would contact me when she returned. To her credit, Jan did call. However, she stated that it was going to take a couple of more days because the file her assistant found was someone else's with the same last name, not mine. I once again waited to hear from her and eventually emailed her asking asking whether she had lost my information. Guess what.......I am still waiting for a response a 3 weeks later!!! I am very, very disappointed because I have not been able to find the items that we picked out together anywhere else. I would not suggest that you use this business as that they seem very disorganized and instead of admitting to a simple mistake (losing my file which can be easily fixed by her coming out to the house again and reselecting the items), they prefer to just let my business go by not returning my communication. They definitely let me slip through the cracks.

Jan Broderick is the franchise owner of the Decorating Den. She is friendly, and prompt. She has good ideas for decorating. I would use her services again.
