Absolutely amazing. Rich was down to earth, humble and very knowledgeable. His ability to ‘dumb down’ the complexity of lighting and placement to help us understand is something we really appreciated. The attention to detail made us feel as if Rich was a family friend helping us out. He was absolutely meticulous about every aspect of the project. Felt like he was working at his own house. Rich, literally became a part of our family! Truly appreciate the hard work, dedication to perfection, honesty and overall character. Will definitely hire again without any hesitation!

I've used Custom Power Electric for several projects through out my home. Rich always does excellent quailty and precise work!!! He never takes short cuts and he uses great quality products. I hired Rich to install some recessed lights in my kitchen. He came across cocky and condescending, but I hoped it was warranted based on his ability. I was wrong. He thought installing two lights essentially on top of each other was a good idea. Not only was this unnecessary, but the placement dictated the placement of the remainder of the lights. As a result, all of the other lights were placed haphazardly. The switching configuration doesn't make sense, lights in one group are turned on with lights of another group, making the whole project come across very poorly thought out. Additionally, Rich does not bring spare parts on his projects and didn't offer to go pick up a dimmer switch that I wanted to add to try to undue some of the damages resulted from the poor placement. Therefore, after mocking me for being unable to install the switch on my own, he sent me to Menard's to pick up a switch for him to install. Overall, I wish I went with someone else. Obviously. Rich also does not leave with extra parts. Originally, I wanted 10 lights, but half way through the project, I realized 8 would suffice. However, Rich advised that he'd be charging me for all 10 anyway, so I might as well stick with 10 lights. So now I am stuck with 10 lights.

The job went very well . Rich came on time. His price was very reasonable and his work is excellent.I will hire him again and recomment him to my friends.

Let me start out by saying that I would definitely use Custom Power Electric again, and would highly recommend to friends and family. My project was to have four flush ceiling lights installed in a small office and a single flush ceiling light above a bathroom tub. Neither of these installations were easy. The fixtures would need to be install near the edge of the roof leaving little room to work. I contacted an electrician that I had used in a prior project who promised to come out and give me an estimate, but never called back. I then contacted another electric company who told me their dollar per hour rate, indicated that the job would probably take 8 hours and I would need to buy the light fixtures and switches. This approach bothered me in that if I pick up something that’s incorrect then I would need to rush out while the electrician was on site, wasting time. When I contacted Custom Power Electric, I discussed the project with Rich Mohlman the owner, exchanged a few text messages and photos and was provided with a cost almost immediately that included all of the fixtures and materials. Rich’s price was close to the other company where I needed to furnish the fixtures. When I accepted his price I got an installation date within hours that was only a week away. When Rich arrived, he covered the work areas in drop cloths to protect our furnishings and alleviate leaving a construction mess. Rich finished the job in 4.5 hours including clean-up, and the wife and I couldn’t be happier with the job.

Came out same day. Price was very reasonable. Took the time to explain everything. Would use again.

Very happy with the fixture installation by Custom Power Electric. Great communication with the owner, who also did the installation. Pricing was fair and the work was done efficiently. I plan to use this company for a few more electrical jobs around my house. A+ service and quality!

We found a day or so later it wasn't working - we called the hot tub guys and insisted that they come out and show us what was wrong. They stated again it was wired wrong the ground wasn't hooked up and the neutral wires weren't connected. At this point we had it - the hot tub guys said it was the electrician the electrician said it was the hot tub. We called for a second opinion Select Electric - they came out and looked at everything - they rewired the hot tub to the specifications and connected the ground wire to the hot tub and connected the white neutral wires. He stated that the 20 amp circuit breaker needs to be replaced. We then paid Select Electrical $135.00 for their second opinion we asked if he could do it and he stated yes but it would be expensive. He said call the other electrician - Custom Power Electric to replace the circuit breaker. Customer Power Electric texted me and said they were coming out to see what he can do - I asked if he was going to replace the breaker as suggested he said if need be it's very expensive - I said the other electrician said that he could take it back to where he bought it and they will replace it. He said he would replace it if need be. I then said that I want it replaced. He then texted me that it was replaced and working. We used the hot tub on Tuesday and it was great. I went to check it yesterday and it's not working again the 20 amp circuit breaker had been tripped again. I didn't call Custom Power Electric yesterday to let him know. We've had this hot tub since 9/22 and only used it once and now can't use it. My husband and I both work and frankly don't have the time to keep dealing with this. My husband looked at the breaker and it looked like the original one - the scratches were in the same place. I would like to be reimbursed for what it would cost another electrician to replace the 20 amp circuit breaker and then have the electrician from Select Electric to come out and do the work.

As always, with Rich, it went very smoothly. He offers suggestions on how things can be done better, at less cost. He is honest and gets right to work. He is coming out again to replace some ceiling fixtures. I waited weeks for him to be available rather than go elsewhere.

He connected an outlet box underneath the sink. Therefore I can connect the state-of-the-art garbage disposal.

Rich did an excellent job. Explained what needed to be done, and then did a professional job completing it. The cost was at or below other estimates I received.

Rich has done a fantastic job and I would seek his help again for all my needs.

Custom power did a very nice job. Showed up on time, clean and very efficient work. Also some improvement suggestions were made. I would hire this company again. Efficient and professional work. They fixed required outlets and also trace the shortage.

He came right away. Installed new GFI. Was professional, neat and quick.

Electrician Rich and his son were very professional and courteous. He addressed all our complicated issues timely and completed the work on the same day. Pricing was very reasonable and wall repair was minimal as well considering the amount of work being done. Very good choice to hire.

Once again I can't be happier with Rich's service and professionalism. I used Rich 3 years ago to help with some outside work and he did a tremendous job back then. I needed to have 3 fans put into 3 different rooms. This is something I'm not good at - so I called Rich. He was earlier than expected and everything went off without a hitch. He also spent time with me talking over some options for outdoor lighting that I need for him to put in. Like I said before if I could give 6 stars I would - if you need an electrician that is professional and does a great job - Rich is your man.

I called Rich, left a message, and he called me back within 10 minutes. He said he had an opening and could be at my house in a half hour- which he was. He assessed my lights and fixed the problem and even threw in a 4-way switch at no cost that turned out to be the real problem. I would recommend him and will use again!

It went great. Rich is very professional and knowledgeable of various codes . He installed the ceiling fan perfectly. He even added an extra line\wire that was needed for the light and fan combination.
