Description of Work: This contractor provided an underground electrical line, to a new shed, from our electrical main panel. This job included digging a trench, at the appropriate code depth, and laying conduit. Final light and plug, in the shed, will be completed after the shed is constructed.

Description of Work: I bought a Big Deal for $150 for 2 Hours of Electrical Labor and he was very unresponsive.

Customer bought a 2 hr labor deal without contacting me before purchase. After deal was bought I emailed him that same day asking for scope of work. Customer called the following day with scope of work and demanded that I show up on his scheduled time. I informed the customer that I could not make the scheduled dates he provided due to my wife having surgery on these days and if all goes well I will do my best to meet his demand.Customer and I communicated via text message and I kept him posted about the wife's recovery and informed the customer that wife is not doing well and her stay at the hospital will be longer than expected. Because I could not meet the customers schedule I told him I would understand if he wanted a refund for his purchase or I could provided a free hr of service for not meeting his schedule. Customer said no and I thought was understanding about unforeseen circumstances. However he left this type of review. This review does not reflect Custom Power Electric work quality or responsiveness. It was just a buyer not understanding my schedule with current work load and family emergency's. Customer purchased a 2hr labor deal. Customer [removed member name] did not explain to me what was the scope of work because he did not understand what the village of Bolingbrook required. I personally contacted the village inspector on my own time and informed [removed member name] that the 2 hr deal that was bought would not cover all that is on this list. I explained that I will provided you with 2hrs of labor and tackle most of the punch list items and give an estimate about the lighting issue. Custom Power Electric knocked out all punch list items in 4hrs except the switching for the lighting. [removed member name] kept on saying that the deal that was bought should cover everything. I told him the switching for existing lighting is a very big job and needs 2guys 2days of labor and material. [removed member name] said that he bought a deal from Angies list and I was paid so I should continue with the work. Again I kept on trying to explain to him that the remaining village required punch list is going to take 2guys 2days to finish and what was bought as a deal would not cover the rest. I opened up the ceiling tiles of the existing space and showed and explained to [removed member name] what needed to be done but he kept on saying its not a big deal and that all items should of been done in 2hrs time. I again explained to [removed member name] that I've been working for 4hrs taking care of all items listed on punch list and I've exceeded the 2hrs paid for. There is a balance due of $150 for the extra 2hrs of work and that to finish this last lighting issue its going to take 2guys 2days to complete. [removed member name] did not agree and only wanted to pay me for the deal. At this point the communication problem we were having was not even worth the balance due of the extra 2hrs of work. Custom Power Electric said that unless you agree to the estimate of 2guys 2days for the remaining work I can not proceed. [removed member name] said that this is his first business he opened moving to the U.S. and does not understand all the rules that we have here and tried to negotiate with me about the remaining work. I was explaining electrical code required for this work and he wanted to cut corners and make things unsafe just to bypass the village request. I told him that Custom Power Electric would NOT do this for him because its against company policy to do things that are not to code and I WONT put people in danger just to get a cheaper cost. At the end of the day Custom Power Electric walked away from this job only getting paid $150. [removed member name] would not pay for the 2hrs extra time that I was there and was upset that I would not install the switching his way that is not to code and unsafe. This review is unfair to Custom Power Electric because I am not going to do things that are not up to code or put other people in harms way. Please read all other A+ reviews and disregard this one. Description of Work: I contacted Rich about having a video cable installed from the basement to my family room behind the wall.
