Very well--prompt response to my request for an estimate. Written estimate came within 24 hours and Jim followed up personally. I chose to postpone the job about 5 months and when I called to book the job, original quote stood and I was able to book the work to be done within 2 weeks. James, the painter, and Brian came the first day to assess the job and make sure what I wanted. James took great detail in prep and clean-up and was prompt with start and end time each day. Job involved very high ceilings and narrow hallway with little light and tall ceilings but this did not stump them at all. Quality of the wall patching and painting is excellent--clearly a professional job. Price was slightly higher than other quotes but I had a good feeling that the job Castle would do would be worth it, and I was right. I recommended them to other family members who are also booking work with them. I will definitely use them again!

My wife and I had just purchased a house that was in desperate need of a quick facelift. We had about 1.5 months before moving in and wanted to get the place painted, patched up and have new doors installed. Rick from Castle was very responsive and friendly. He was able to move quick and get things done before the deadline. He has a skilled and trusted crew that he's been working with for a long time. They were clean and made no mistakes. We have a very unique room that was named 'The Cabin Room'. It has floor to ceiling wood log-ish paneling. Castle was able to help us stain and renew the room with some secret industry tricks. It no longer looks like something out of Fishing and Wildlife magazine 1973. Overall, I would highly recommend Rick and his team at Castle for their services. We will definitely have them back in the future.

Outstanding. The finished product was great,but was more impressed how well they worked with us, from accommodating our schedule requests, to going above and beyond from product procurement to design. The gentlemen we worked with were all total professionals who I cannot recommend high enough. Over past three years we have had several major remodeling projects in our house, and they definitely are best in class in working with you, being punctual and courteous to our needs.

They did an incredible job. Our house looks completely different. It looks like a new house and we get so many complements on it. I will update with pictures. The work they did completely brightened up the house on the inside and out, and they do very high quality work.

took 3 months of followup to get it done. they are not interested in small jobs. if you value your money avoid them. if you have upwards of 5 K to spend call them on your own peril.

We chose them based on Angie's reviews and the thoroughness of the job estimate. They were in the middle of the 3 estimates we received. They did an amazing job. The house looks brand new. The attention to detail was fantastic and the quality of the work top notch. They were on time to the job and really cared about the job they were doing. Getting the job scheduled took some time but it was worth the wait. We would use them again.

I reached out via email to get a quote for an interior paint job. Rick responded very promptly letting me know he would not be available on the day we requested but he would send a member of his team out to meet with us. We ended up moving forward with another company and cancelling the quote but would reach out to them with future requests based on their quick communication and professionalism.

They were easy to work with, sent an extinction promptly, and communicated with me throughout the process. My house looks great.

They had to schedule 2-3 weeks out, as they were very busy. But they did exactly what they said, and they were very professional throughout. Excellent experience, I will be referring others to use them as well.

Great job. I have used Castle for exterior and interior work in my old house and called them again to paint the garage interior of our new home. We decided to have the floor epoxied and my wife pointed out that the garage walls - which were roughly muded would look bad in comparison. The estimate was higher than we hoped but as Rick explained the builders only have to mud the garage walls for fire safety and not appearance. Almost half of the estimate was for removing the original mudding and preparing the walls for paint! Neat, clean and a great job

Came, gave estimate. About 2 wks later power washed areas to be painted. Haven't seen or heard from them since. Called, got answering service, asked when they would be coming. That has been 3 days ago-no reply. This is a very unprofessional company. If they are too busy to even return a phone call or keep us up to date on when to expect the service to be performed, we would not want to hire them now or in the future.

After getting two estimates I chose Castle Painting. The estimate was less than the other estimate and also I liked the way Rick explained their process. He said that each board gets painted from end to end so you don't see spots where the paint dried and was painted over. After coming to my house in mid June I received the estimate the next day. I called Rick and he put me in his schedule. He said it would probably be sometime in August. I called in the beginning of August and Rick said they were coming out the next day to power wash the house which they did. The painters arrived a few days later and the job was complete in three days. Brian was the crew manager and both he and the painters on site were very courtious and accomodating. They caulked all cracks and seams and put two heavy coats of paint on my house, trim and garage doors. My house has never looked as good as it does now.

The painting is going great. Everyone has been polite and on time. It has been good communication from them.

I was very pleased with Rick and his crew from start to finish, although, I'm not quite sure that they painted shutters on both sides.

There are a lot of good reviews on here for Castle Painting but please note that they have more than one painting manager and crew so it might not be Rick that shows up to your house. I worked with Dennis Leetzow since he handles the Northwest suburban area (Castle Painting Algonquin). My overall experience with Dennis was less than satisfactory. His crew was good but they were at the mercy of their often absent and ill-informed boss. We had many issues with Dennis saying one thing and doing another. Most of it was regarding timing- he said my job would take 3.5 days total and in the end it took 3 weeks. He was always sending his guys to other jobs and I often had only one painter on my job (entire exterior and interior foyer). I did go on vacation which further delayed the work since Dennis was not willing to finish the job while I was gone and wait until I got back to get paid. He wouldn?t even accept partial payment before I left for partial work. My vacation would have never been an issue if he had sent a full crew to my job each day from the start. There were even days where I made plans to be home for the painters and Dennis decided to send them to other jobs and left me high and dry. Dennis said he would be at the jobsite at least once a day, in reality he only showed up a handful of times. He didn?t even show up to get his payment. Dennis also tried to charge me for some extra caulking even though he had agreed to it as part of the original quote. My work was completed July 2014 but I kept logs of what happened each day and every conversation I had with Dennis. If more detail is desired I?d be happy to provide it. The actual quality of work by the painters was good. They were willing to fix any spots I noticed and were very friendly. The one aspect of the painting I didn?t love was how much they jumped around the job. They were already on the second coat in some areas and hadn?t even scraped/prepped in others. I couldn?t keep track of what had one or two coats and there is no way with the changing painters each day that they could have either. I just have to hope everything was properly prepped and painted with two coats. Overall I have no issue with the quality of the painting.

I chose them because I saw their work on the neighborhood and they did a nice job. They're nice persons. I felt comfortable with them.

Far exceeded expectations. I got three bids from Angie's List providers. I had Castle Painting paint my exterior several years before and was pleased and picked two other providers from the Deal category. Castle's bid was not the lowest but we had had them before so we asked if they could match the low bid. Rick said he could not go that low and still provide the quality of workmanship that we would want but did meet the price in the middle. He estimated two 1/2 to 3 days to complete. We agreed on a start time of 0700. At about 0645 we saw the Castle Painting truck waiting out in front. At exactly 0700, Joe (foreman) and James came to the door. We walked through the house and reviewed the job. Neither painter could have been more professional or courteous. Two and a half days later we marveled at the the job. The walls were perfectly painted with no mess. Joe & James were incredibly clean and neat, not a drop of paint where it shouldn't be. I would use Castle again and request Joe and James, evne if we had to wait

It was really straightforward. We had approached 3 vendors for this job. Rick had the ideal combination of knowledge & experience, location & price. He was upfront with us on the scheduling of his resources and explained to us how and when the job would get done. The team came over to do the powerwashing at their convenience and with our approval. It worked out well for us. They completed the painting to our specifications - stopping to give us detailed explanations if we had questions. They were neat and careful and made sure to cause the least disturbance. The job was exceptional and I will recommend them to anyone needing this service.

Rick and his painting crew were fabulous to work with. They were punctual and answered all calls promptly. The house needed a large amount of carpentry work and they were upfront about costs and did a beautiful job. It's as if we have a brand new house!

Rick Campbell, the owner, came out and described in detail how one of his crews would do each of the jobs. He was very professional. He sent me a written estimate and proof of Castle Painting's liability insurance and workmen's compensation coverage, which we felt was really essential for the jobs that we needed done. The crew came out on time and were professional and friendly. They power washed the deck first. I had to leave the house for the afternoon, and when I came home, the deck, gazebo, and bench were beautifully stained, and the basketball pole had been sanded and painted. They did a great cleanup job; there was no evidence that a crew had been there except for the completed jobs. On a separate occasion, our pantry was primed and repainted, and the exterior door to our garage was sanded and repainted. The latter job was one that I asked be done while they were painting the pantry, and they were willing to go to the store and do the extra job. My husband and I were really impressed with the expertise and professionalism of Castle Painting, and highly recommend them.

Contacted Rick for an estimate which he provided promptly. He was the only provider that mentioned possible wood rot on one upper level window that might need to be addressed. As we decided to list our home and proceed with a move to another state this fall, it became imperative that we get the work done as soon as possible. When I explained our situation to Rick, he courteously rearranged the schedule to help us out. We are really grateful for his help and for the excellent job his painters did on our home. They truly made it look fantastic at a very reasonable price. Thank You again to Castle Painting!!!
