Description of Work: Dry rot repair around 13 of 17 windows, prime and paint. Paint shutters a new custom color that really makes the front of the house "pop". |It's like I have new windows! |On time, poliet, promt and courteous - Dave and his crew kept me involved and informed in every step of the process.

Description of Work: Painted all exterior vinyl siding and exterior trim an a storage shed. It came out better than expected.

Description of Work: Outdoor cedar siding work done in Oct. was excellent. Interior work in Nov. including wallpaper removal, patching and painting was OK but required followup and fix up. I did final touchups myself get it done right.

Description of Work: Dave and his crew did extensive carpentry work. They repaired and or replaced sections of my casement windows. Instead of replacing the entire window which would have cost thousands of dollars more, they fixed them and they look brand new. They are also, now very easy to open and close. |They replaced my patio door with new French Doors which was a different size than the original. Dave had to cut a larger opening in order to install them. |They replaced all the wood panels on the bay window including the trim. |They replaced all the wood cedar panel that were rotting or missing or needed around the new French Doors. |They replaced my back door patio light and wooden mounting block. |They caulked and insulated as needed around the windows and doors. |Dave and his crew were the best carpenters I have ever hire. My wife and I are extremely satisfied with their work and we highly recommend them. |Rick's painting crew painted two coats on the entire house repairing/replacing/caulking various cedar panels, the downspouts, and the dryer vent. |The painting crew like the carpentry crew were very professional. The house looks fantastic. |Rick and Dave followed up to ensure our satisfaction. |My wife and I are extremely satisfied with all the services performed! |

Description of Work: We had rotting brick mold around many of our windows. The windows themselves were intact (heavy, wooden, triple pane glass with multi-panes --colonial style). |Their carpenter rebuilt all of our window frames and sills and installed new wood brick mold. This was a challenge, as every window was a slightly different size (built in 1987). Then the painters primed and painted them. |It would have cost us 2 o 3 times as much to replace all the windows, and all the window shops we called were not interested in repairing windows - just replacing them all. We like the look of the real wood trimmed panes and this is a more eco-friendly option. |He did a great job.

Description of Work: They repaired the wood on the outside of our house and then painted the whole house. We chose them because they could do both the repairs and the painting. By and large the work was done well, but it did take a while to complete. My largest source of dissatisfaction was that the junior guy who removed our downspouts to paint them re-installed them incorrectly. Not a huge problem, but an irritation nonetheless. Overall the quality was good.

Description of Work: Stained and painted (2 coats) entire exterior of 2,900 interior square foot home. Replaced cedar siding boards as necessary and as requested by homeowner. Slow to get started (partially weather related), crew needed more homeowner oversight than should be necessary. Castle Painting's Owner only honored Angie's list coupon on extras, not on base contract.

Description of Work: They did a good job. All went well. There were three segments to the job. Eight of 21 window frames and the front door trim required carpentry work to reconstruct the frames/trim due to dry rot. All the wood trim, frames, windows and doors were painted. By mutual agreement, the staining of interior sashes has been postponed to the start of the new year. I was impressed with the detail of the estimate and there being no additional cost surprises once the work began. All the carpenters and painters were professional and pleasant to work with. I look forward to working with Castle Painting again.
