ATLAS DOOR REPAIR INC

We had our garage door repaired by a very good technician, Randy who was both punctual and professional. However, when I contacted their office, I spoke with a woman named "Janet" and inquired as to why, after the initial repair, on subsequent service calls, I was charged both a "service call charge" and a "fuel surcharge". I was told that the cost of gasoline required an additional "fuel surcharge". I explained that it seemed to me that this should be included in the "service call charge". I didn't even get a chance to complain that I thought $25.00 was excessive as a "fuel surcharge". I could not get a legitimate answer to my question and asked to speak with the owner. I was told he was not in the office today. I asked if she would have him contact me and she said "OK". Before she could hang up I asked her "Don't you want to know my name?" She responded that she had my name on her computer as the contact. I explained that I was not the "contact" name she had and that I would like to know the owner's name so that I would know who it was when he returned my call. She refused to give his name!! I was alarmed. Why would she not give me the owner's name. After spending approximately $2000.00, it seemed to me that the least a company could do is treat a customer with respect and answer their questions. Although Randy did a fine job, I will not be using the company again because of the "shady" way Janet handled this situation.
