Overall move went very well.

We called 4 days before we wanted the job done. They were able to do the move for us. They were prompt, professional, and respectful of our furniture and our home. We will use them again.

Overall - Good work. I'd hire them again. Though I will monitor them a bit more closely next time.

Amenity was terrific. We moved on the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend and were so glad they could fit us in - I gave less than two weeks notice for a very busy time of year. The person who came out to estimate the job was very pleasant and professional. I booked the job right away. The estimate was $1300 but the job ended up coming in at $918 - lovely surprise, so we gave good tips to the moving guys who were also a pleasure to work with. The were careful with our things and moved quickly. We had some super heav items, but the four man crew was up to it.

The overall experience was outstanding. 1) Sandy did a great job of the estimation. We were a little late reaching back home at the time we were supposed to meet, but she waited for us on a Saturday afternoon which was much appreciated. 2) Sandy provided us with the IL State Moving Hotline number, which we called and verified that Amenity had conducted a good amount of moves with no complaints. (We also used the same number to confirm feedback on other movers) 3) On the day of the move, Amenity came in a couple of hours late. They were supposed to arrive between noon - 1, but were delayed in their earlier job. My only grouse of the whole experience was that I had to call to check with them about the delay. To move things along, they added another resource to the team (5 instead of the original 4). 4) Once they arrived, everything worked like clockwork. The team (Mike, Tony, Guillermo, Alex & Ernie) were awesome. They were careful with our furniture, pointed out anything that was in not so perfect condition, were well spoken and worked smoothly as a team. We had boxed a lot of our stuff in advance to lessen the time during the move and while that helped, the big stuff like the beds, tables and other furniture still needed to be moved. 5) The destination home has new hardwood and new carpeting and the team laid down padding and were very careful in putting down all the items. They re-assembled everything and were careful to put all items in the locations we specified. Nothing was damaged, the floors and carpets were fine and as Mike mentioned early in the move, it was "the best move we'd ever done"

This company would be our first choice for any other move. Billing is fair; employees are professional, efficient and friendly.

I had to have my floors redone recently, and Amenity moved my furniture and grand piano twice (before and after the floor repair). I called Amenity Movers after having a bad experience with Burrow's. I have moved 4 times in the last 14 years and BY FAR Michael Soraghan's Amenity Moving crew was the best. Amenity is essentially a family run business; they return calls promptly, arrived on time, and were reasonably priced. The moving crew acted professionally; they were unbelievably courteous and careful with my furniture. One piece of furniture unfortunately slid slightly off a skid during the move, but Michael sent someone to repair it immediately. The repair quality was so good, you can't even tell it was damaged. This is an outstanding company, with a work ethic that puts other moving companies to shame. Located in Plainfield, he will come to the city if you pay for the travel time, but his total fees still are less than city movers because his hourly fee is lower.
