I deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We looked into it, and we don't have any record of your estimate/job in our system. We do have angies list looking into it for us. We would like the opportunity to rectify this situation and set you up with a time and date for my estimator to come out. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience.

The inspection went well he took his time ,inspected the interior .and made notation of the visible mold stated all the dry wall needed to go and the area needed to be treated. I will be checking Angie's list for a deal on that service.
Description of Work: Assessed the outdoor house foundation and he could tell there were serious structural issues that had occurred possibly from city work that I mentioned had been done years ago ..now impacting the house. The expense to correct the problem was not in my budget.

The work was never performed, the date that they could come out was over a month out, that's not right !!
Description of Work: I think Angies list is as much to blame, they gave a discount deal that I signed up for, instead of calling me they logged on to my Angie's list account and left contact information there. So then I figured that out and called I got an appointment over a month away from the date we finally made contact. A month is too long, so I told them to forget it, paid for the appointment only couldn't wait that long. That is a rip off !!!

We would love the opportunity to rectify this situation and schedule an estimate for you. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused for you.

The guy showed up on time and when I explained how we recently had flooding in basement but not sure how, he quickly said it was from the cracks in the floor (carpet had been removed) and seeping through the walls. Quoted me $9k for drain tile system. When I said, how do you know for sure, he said you can see the cracks so it's obvious. No other "inspection" was performed. He did quote us for sewer back up prevention valve in the basement for $1,500 too. After weeks of more rain and no water seepage, I called him back and he said it must have just been from the drain floor backing up with the heavy rain and they could do that back up prevention. So basically I paid $55 for a free quote. I was just upset that he immediately quoted me with the highest priced fix without knowing what was really the problem. And I did not get 7 point inspection.
Description of Work: We had some water in our basement so I ordered the 7 point inspection to determine where water was coming from. By the time the appointment came up, we had experienced severe flooding with the heavy rain that one July night and had to remove carpeting in the basement.

The office responded promptly and was able to schedule a visit quickly, at a time convenient for me. A slight INconvenience was the representative showing up 1-1/2 hrs. early, with no advance phone call. As for the "15-point Inspection:" Two of the points didn't apply to us (they related to crawl spaces). Of the remaining 13 "points", he looked at what I showed him in the basement (sites of occasional leakage problems) , made a diagnosis (which sounded reasonable), suggested two ways to deal with it (a first-try, and if that failed, a more complete and costly solution). He confined his attention to only 1/2 of our basement (where I led him), and showed no interest in the other half. I estimate that he failed to perform 10 of the 15 "points." He promised to email me a recommendation and costs for the two approaches to remediation. 2-1/2 weeks later, I'm still waiting. I don't know whether these guys are good or not, but they are certainly not at the top of my list of people to call for this matter.

Arrived on time, very professional attitude and did a great job fixing the cracks in the basement walls/ replacing the sump pump. The price was a little higher than some other companies quoted, however Crack Attack was definitely the most prompt in responding and getting a date set up to fix everything. We would definitely use them again in the future.

Crack Attack fixed 3 foundation cracks on my home. They dug down on the outside of the foundation and installed carbon fiber staples, tar and drain board. The work took about 3 hours. They were more expensive than other contractors, but the others were only using the epoxy injection method from the inside.

Matthew quickly replied to my request for an request, and, upon arrival, thoroughly explained Crack Attack's solution to the foundation crack and water seepage problems in areas of the house.. Having obtained several other estimates, I found the Crack Attack Team's price to be very fair and competitive, and their lifetime, transferable warranty was a big plus, too. On the scheduled date (4/1/14), the repair team arrived on time and worked consistently throughout the morning. I noticed that they took great pains to work around nearby shrubbery, to avoid damaging them. .The crew was very professional, friendly, and patient in explaining answers to my questions. Upon completion of the job, they scrupulously cleaned the work area. Shortly after the crew's departure, I had a question about one area of the back drainboard. After contacting the Crack Attack office and Matthew, the crew quickly returned and addressed my concern. For the next several weeks (and a few rainstorms) the basement was problem-free. Around mid-May, my neighborhood was hit with a record-shattering thunderstorm that caused basement seepage a few feet from the repaired crack, and some drainage from the back drainboard area. I called Matthew, who arrived the very next day to examine the situation. Upon inspection, it appeared that there was a second foundation crack, a few feet from the crack repaired on 4/1/14. Since I had formerly assumed that ALL the previous seepage was from the 4/1 crack, this second crack had been overlooked. As far as the drainboard, the severe rainstorm indicated that the board needed to be positioned higher. In terms of cost for this new work, things couldn't have gone better. Matthew offered a good price for fixing the second crack, and, of course, the drainboard was covered by warranty. The new crew was here a few days later (5/23/14), and the work was quickly completed. As before, the men were professional, friendly, and thorough. Since then, my basement has been BONE DRY despite some pretty heavy area downpours. In sum, I've found the Crack Attack Team to be a high quality, conscientious, and professional business that is dedicated to work excellence and superb customer service. They have earned my highest recommendation.
Description of Work: 4/01/2014 - Sealed foundation crack; installed drainboard to back area of house. 5/23/2014 - Sealed new foundation crack; deepened and reinforced drainboard to back area of house.

We received a callback and scheduled work for later that week on Thursday. Later that same day we were called to reschedule to Wednesday. It was raining on Wednesday so we rescheduled to Saturday. When the time arrived on Saturday we didn't hear anything. Calls went to voice mail. After 20 minutes, we got a text saying they would be there in 45-60 minutes. After that time we got a text saying that it would be better to do it the next day. The next day we get a call an hour and 40 minutes after we arranged to meet. After 2 reschedules for non-weather reasons, calling incredibly late and poor communications, there is no way I'm paying them to work on our house.

My son and his wife had recently purchased a 1926 home in Geneva, IL from a fliphouser who had, among many other things, drywalled areas of the basement as additional living spaces. One of the rooms, after a few rains, started showing signs of water damage. After removing 2 walls of drywall in that room, 3 large vertical cracks answered the leakage questions. I found Crack Attack on Angie's List, and Matt came out within a week and gave an estimate. A week later, a crew of 3 men came to the house and made all of the repairs necessary to prevent further leakage. After one heavy rain, all is dry. My son and his wife are hoping to turn that area into the room the fliphouser had represented it to be; however, they are going to wait a year to see if leakage issues have been resolved.
Description of Work: Internally filled in 3 vertical cracks in basement wall that were causing leaks after rain, installed drain tile on 2 sides of the room as added protection for the cracks and routed the drain tile to the sump pump; also, because the existing sump was discharging water against building code, they rerouted the sump to discharge outside the foundation. In addition, they installed drainage boards on the 2 walls that had the cracks.

On scheduled day of appt. they called to cancel due to transportation issue. We were in middle of moving so called back a week later to rescheduled. Left message. Did not hear back. Left another message. Then they left me a message I believe shortly after. But by this time I no longer needed services. I spoke to someone at company. Matt I believe. Said he would personally write me a check for refund. Never got it. That was May 28th last month.

I was hesitant to go ahead with the project with Crack Attack. The tuckpointing was included in the work. I told them I don't see that as their expertise so I was worried they won't do a good job on it. I spoke to them a couple of times about the tuckpointing concern. They said they can do it. I decided to go ahead with the project against my gut feeling on that concern. I had no issue with the jacks installation. The team was pleasant and professional. But the tuckpointing work was so bad and caused me great stress. I complained to the owner and sent pictures. He was very responsive and came out to look. We scheduled a date to come and repair the work. He came out and redid the tuckpointing. It was better than the initial work. However, it was not as good if I just go to the tuckpointing company to do the work. If I want to sell my house later, I will probably have to redo it because it sticks out and doesn't look professional. I didn't tell them to redo it because two tries was enough for me. The stress of this was something I didn't anticipate.
Description of Work: I had a step cracks on 2 exterior brick walls. It seems that the wall may be sinking. The crack attack team came in and put jacks under the foundation base. They also did the tuckpointing on the brick walls.

Crew arrived early. Work went smoothly. Walked me through the installation process and answered my questions. I am satisfied with the work and recommend to others. If I had to nitpick, my only concern is that the freeze guard has no screen on it to prevent small animals or leaves from entering pump discharge pipe. I am not an engineer, but it seems there should be a piece there to prevent debris from getting into the pipe.

Crack Attack was very punctual, in fact a few minutes early which was fine. One of the cracks was a leaker. The crew was in and out in about an hour. After the next rain, there was no seepage from the repaired cracks. However, I did notice a small leak at a hairline crack and rebar hole near one of the repaired cracks. Tim came out promptly within a couple days of my call. He fixed the leak and also a floor to wall joint in the same area, all at no charge to make sure all potential leak sources were addressed. He could have easily argued for additional charges but obviously was more interested in customer satisfaction. Better yet, after a couple more heavy rains, a perfectly dry basement. Crack Attack definitely stands behind their workmanship and honors their guarantee. I would definitely use them again and recommend to others.
Description of Work: Bought the special deal to repair a basement wall crack for $149. Two more cracks were found and filled at the same time by the Crack Attack team for a reasonable additional charge.
